The d line experiment has failed. We spent a lot of money for not a lot of results. Beane is going to have to get really creative to fix this. We have tons of needs: Second cb Linebackers (depending on Milano and when you give up on Edmunds or decide hes not worth a real pro bowlers money) Dline O line( people that can run block and pass block) Running back( we need at least a speed player there to split carries) Tight end ( knox is not consistent enough) We don't have the money to resign certain guys, I hope I'm wrong or the off-season without covvid maybe magically makes this work, but if our defense plays like dog doo just because star opts out - that is not a good plan going forward to rely on one guy that much

When Foxworth was subbing in for Steven a on first take he had to argue for Allen on a topic you should have seen the pain it caused him was hilarious

What they did today was they took away our run and our play action. I vaguely remember them being quoted as one of the best if not the best d in the league against play action. When Allen runs it was a number advantage but does not make the safeties play down as much. Or set up the misdirection of play action. Hope we can find a way to run, its a talented d line there, and hopefully we can get over this hump. They tried to eliminate big plays and flood the field. They had an excellent defensive performance

If your going to have an injury running back is a place where it may not be impactful

What they did was avoid the Tremaine Edmunds school of tackling for off-season workouts and it paid off.

This experiment with our dline has def been a failure. Whether that is covvid opt out of star, lack or pre season etc. Next season we need to re evaluate and we need a premiere pass rusher.
