The Upcoming Trade Deadline: 2025 Edition

I don't think there is a bigger slam dunk than Kamara to the Chiefs. Hopefully that doesn't come to fruition. -
The Upcoming Trade Deadline: 2025 Edition
Andrew Son replied to ryguy101's topic in The Stadium Wall
I generally agree with this. Should be an interesting trade deadline. I agree that our biggest current need is CB, but we hopefully have the long term answers on the team already so any addition there would be a one year rental IMO. I think WR makes the most sense for a high end trade target that would fit into our future plans. Beyond Shakir, I don't think anyone is locked in to being a key piece moving forward. I could see a swing for Olave. If we don't go that big maybe someone like Lockett. I agree, Dline is set unless we move someone. I think safety is going to end up fine. It looks bad now but I think it will improve as they get more reps together. Bishop seems to be coming on and Rapp has played well in the past, I think they will round into form. I don't think you just insert a new player into this position that is so dependent on familiarity with one another. LB is another position to watch. -
Yep. This team could very easily be sitting at 1-4 right now. There are issues.

The overall body of work over the past two years shows that it was an off day, not some systemic problem. The defense on the other hand...

I find the focus on the offense to be truly bizarre. It's been historically good. If we fall short this year it will be because of the defense, again.

We've done that before and then in the playoffs we have no healthy Wr's.

Game week thread - Bills at Falcons MNF

My concern is that, historically, these "lulls" seem to last for multi-game stretches. -
Despite his incredible arm Josh has never been great with the deep ball. Most people think a great arm automatically means a great deep ball but that's not the case. A Russ Wilson moon ball is easier to track and catch than a laser with limited arc.

We have among the worst.

Maybe they are just using him for parts. Between Spector and Milano we might be able to cobble together a LB

The AFC sucks. Stay afloat until Joe is back

No More Whiteouts again ever in Buffalo Bills history

Is this supposed to be reassuring? We also miss the one seed every year and lose in the playoffs. -

Seems like it ends pretty predictably every year -

They did. Then Josh led a FG drive… -

It happens every year and it’s why we never get the one seed -

Here’s an idea, score a ***** TD on offense -

Once our O scores the flood gates will open on D -
His offense has been incredibly refreshing following the one dimensional attack we had for years.

Probably so, but that sounds pretty similar to the thinking everyone had for last night’s game.

2025 Trade Ideas Prior to the Deadline
Andrew Son replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
Maybe Schoen will do us a solid and ship us Dexter Lawrence since he is going to be canned anyways. -
By what metric? I'm seeing them as a bottom third rushing attack with ball security issues.

I'll believe there's been a change to the defense when I see it. Every year we bring in new pieces to address the shortcomings but they persist. Obviously the most important thing right now is stacking wins, and what teams look like right now will different from the finished product. Get the one seed, stay healthy, and play your best football at the right time... But I can't help but think that whatever is perennially wrong with our defense will be the teams downfall again. Hopefully I'm wrong and it all comes together, or at least the offense can overcome.
