  1. https://overthecap.com/player/d-j-reed/7027 OTC has his 2024 valuation at $6.236M. That seems low. Not sure why. He is coming off a 3/$33M contract.
  2. Huge cushion all but one of those. Lining up that way is okay if you don’t want to tip the blitz, but you have to eat it up immediately at the snap. Nope. The CB just stayed soft. Ridiculous. It looked like the whole Cincy playoff game - especially with the ineffective blitzes.
  3. Injuries to their OTs DJ Humphries and Jawaan Taylor caused them to shuffle their OL too.
  4. How about if we level that playing field a bit? I can name a bunch of HCs that would kick ass and take names with Allen as their QB. He’s a cheat code. McDermott is an otherwise very good HC who is overly conservative and tight in big moments - and who lucked into an amazing QB.
  5. Thank you, I appreciate that. And I appreciate your well thought out posts too.
  6. I point out the use of - and inconsistency between - narratives pushed by the Bills to highlight their true nature. They are simply a means to distract and placate the fans.
  7. As did I. 😂
  8. Saying the path to success on offense is predicated on the everybody eats philosophy and that it is predicated on having multiple difference makers is. Especially when the calls for a difference making WR are so loud. Also we have had enough talent to win every playoff game we’ve lost - since Allen has been our QB at least. Lack of talent is not why we’ve lost those games. It’s just an easy narrative. Every team that falls short can say they would’ve won with more talent. It’s a cop out and all it does is distract from the real reason we lost those games.
  9. Bills fans: We has a record breaking offense! Everybody eats! Bills lose in playoffs, again. To KC, again. Bills fans: Well, you really need 2-3 difference makers on each side of the ball…… LMAO
  10. Good/great coaches break tendencies in pressure/high leverage situations. Mediocre/poor ones do not. It was a logical time for KC to break a tendency from the game and go to a big blitz, something Spags is known for in high leverage situations. My reaction to seeing no RB in the backfield and that blitz look from KC was to say “call a time out!” as the ball was snapped. We still had 3. Also we just came out of the 2 min warning. How did we not have an option for a heavy blitz built into our play call? Again, that’s standard Spags play calling in that situation.
  11. I agree it is needed, but it won’t happen. In fact, it’s been heading in the opposite direction for years. That isn’t going to change. McDermott has systematically removed everyone that isn’t willing to fall in line with his directives. This team is fully built and run in his image now and that’s not changing. I should point out that everyone being on the same page it’s generally a good thing. It’s the page that’s been chosen that I have an issue with.
  12. Wholeheartedly agree. Plus there’d also be an experienced former HC who has won a SB in the building. He’s not going to set himself up to get “Doug Marrone-ed”.
  13. Beane also said that the year he signed Von Miller to the huge contract. He’s just setting expectations low. Saying he’s looking to make a big move would put him at a disadvantage when chasing high dollar FAs. It would also lead to incessant questions until it happens and criticism if it doesn’t come to fruition. It’s just typical GM speak.
  14. There is nothing being said at this press conference that disgusts me more as the BS narrative that KC is unbeatable so we should just be happy to get as far as we do. With remotely competent coaching we take the 13 seconds playoff games from KC. With good coaching we take at least two playoff games. Heck, we have gone to the playoffs seven times under McDermott and last season was the first time the team we lost to did not lose their next game. It’s a weak, disgusting and false narrative.
  15. I don’t think it’s preference, I think it’s necessity.
  16. Michael Pittman Jr. is an absolutely terrible comparison for Coleman. Pittman is known for his ability to separate while Coleman is known for his inability to separate. Try again. So why didn’t he? Wasn’t this an excuse for some players against Cincy in that playoff game too? It’s a fireable offense to not have your players in the proper equipment for an entire game. A series. That happens. But a whole game? It shows a lack of competency at many levels.
  17. Another thread was just started about Josh’s throwing hand getting broken at the end of the first half on the 2 pt attempt tush push.
  18. The last bit really bothers me. Extending plays and taking hits to get throws off so often is going to catch up with Allen - and the Bills - at some point. He a big guy, but he’s not as big as a defensive lineman.
  19. Allen’s contract is one of the most intriguing aspects of this offseason for me. He got $60M in cash for 2024, but is only set to get $14.5M in 2025. There are also some escalators/bonuses. Still, that’s very light for a QB of his stature. It’ll be interesting…
  20. No. Though it does look a lot like I did when I was (much) younger. That’s part of my private joke. It’s a prominent picture of Doug Forcett in the show The Good Place: Douglas "Doug" L. Forcett is a former stoner from Calgary, who during the 1970s gained fame in the afterlife by making an almost perfectly accurate prediction about its inner workings. The character shows up later in the show as an older man, played by Michael McKean. You might know him as the lead singer of Spinal Tap or as Lenny on Laverne and Shirley (if you’re really old). He’s also been in a bunch of Christopher Guest movies and other stuff. I know that was way more than you asked for, but it all is humorous to me.
  21. I think it should have been incomplete too. The difference was first and 10 on the 3 vs 1st and 10 on the 24 due to the defensive holding call on the play. KC might’ve still scored a TD but it was not insignificant. Interesting thought on the wording of the challenge. I don’t know if that impacted the ruling or not.
  22. Yep. Age and whatnot.
  23. While I wholeheartedly agree we should move on from Miller (cut with a post 6/1 designation), I am bracing myself for the Bills to work out a deal to keep him. That’s why I’m hedging. I can see McDermott wanting him on the team. I don’t think it happens, but I don’t think the odds are 0. It may depend on how much Miller wants to keep playing in general and in Buffalo specifically.
  24. He's not going to take vet min plus incentives. I hope we wouldn’t offer more than that.
