  1. The egg shortage started before Trump was in office, though I do appreciate how you think a real president can fix all the problems Biden caused in less than a month.
  2. USAID was formed by EO and is a line item on the congressional budget. Or are you so dumb you believe Congress discussed paying for Iraqi sesame Street? As for "top notch" people there, they will be absorbed by the State Dept
  3. Why is USAID subject to laws now when it has never been before? https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2025/02/05/media/politico-usaid-subscription-government CNN is just trying to make sure they will be first in line for government funds when Trump is out of office
  4. If I remember correctly when the officials screwed the Saints the league admitted it was unacceptable and vowed to improve, but this time they are indicating that the problem is acceptable and they will continue this way.
  5. He was quoting the FBI agent who was fired, but you do you.
  6. It is not about the refs being full time, if there is one issue with the refs that is most likely causing the issue is the age. Too many of them are just unable to keep up with the pace of the game, especially with the amount of rules they are supposed to call
  7. Two points- you limit the amount of reviews by making it a situation where you can miss one review but ask for second which is wrong will end your ability to get a review along with loss of time outs. I do believe the officials are simply incompetent but at what point does the separation of impact between incompetent and conspiracy become irrelevant?
  8. The answer is we don't feel the product is up to the proper standards. The officials are unfortunately always going to be part of the game but there is no reason the biggest play of the AFC championship was a terrible call, especially when the officials went to review and still got it wrong. My decision not to watch was reinforced yesterday when the NFL whined about the conspiracy theory but presented no answer to improve the officiating. I was surprised today at work when several of my coworkers told me they weren't going to watch it either because they feel the Eagles will have to win by 14 to win by 3 on the scoreboard.
  9. I think there are now enough people like me that the NFL needs to respond. I don't think it is rigged I simply think the officials are incompetent. They call what they expect not what they see and they don't expect KC to make mistakes.
  10. Between Roger and the Refs Union both being "insulted" that people think it is fixed I couldn't help but notice they did not address the reason people think that, which is the level of officiating being putrid. Neither one said anything- at least in the clips I saw- in regards to the calls being unacceptable. I don't think it is fixed, but I do think the top 25% of NFL fans would be superior refs to what we have, which is guys who think they are part of the game
  11. I think the other parts of Asia is most likely quickly and a few select industries to the western hemisphere over the next few years. If China makes a real stink it might be accelerated .
  12. I very much hope the Dept of Education is shuttered and replaced with a small group whose entire purpose is to determine which states are prepping kids best for life/college. The total budget should be less than $1 billion and each state should be required to collect and maintain the information. Basically $10 million average per state and the rest is in DC as a Clearinghouse
  13. I think I might have just "won" this thread, and all I had to do was listen to a Democrat, which was painful.
  14. Or possibly the objective is to shift the market to a more American Friendly country, either still in Asia or preferably into the western hemisphere. If Ecuador or El Salvador wanted to get a factory up and running then it would be far preferable to it being in China.
  15. I just read that Trump is going to the Super Bowl and I think that is a mistake. He should go to the World Cup next year and see the US team play but the Super Bowl is such a logistical nightmare he is going to make things much worse for everyone.
  16. I will admit I til this week I thought the AID part was aid, not agency for international development.
  17. Some of the plan was already announced, which was in response to Trump, and more happened because of meeting yesterday. So in other words, all the change is from Trump. https://www.reuters.com/world/americas/canada-pledges-beefed-up-border-immigration-restrictions-appease-trump-2024-12-17/
  18. Only to a dishonest person is a statement of fact, "framing". As for the second part, you do have a point since I doubt there is anything to stop Trump from doing exactly what Biden has done when he was vice president and president.
  19. Kash had a job at Truth Social as a media director, he was assured of shares for his work, they paid it out before he was put in charge of FBI. Only you would be surprised by any of this.
  20. You realize you can just sit out the obvious wins, right? Trump has each country agreeing to assist along the border and help stop the drugs, that is a win
  21. This is how we are going to buy Greenland, we buy it and use the resources to replenish the fund.
  22. USAID is exactly what most of government has become, a good idea that is so bloated and backwards that dishonest people are taking advantage of it more than any actual good is happening. The fact that they don't want to be audited should be pissing everyone who pays taxes off and is most likely due to the fact that 80% of the budget is waste and bribery. Are you talking about when Biden got the guy investigating his son fired?
  23. I wanted to be sure I understood what you meant by soft power- and I will ask directly, do you believe Biden projected soft power to anyone?
