I actually respect the Steelers sticking to the BPA if you don't feel any of the QBs coming out are a major upgrade over what you have on the roster. If you draft a QB and they are not substantially better than Mason Rudolph then you wasted the pick when you could improve your team.

I knew Grant was going early because he is who I wanted for the Bills and I can never have nice things. Will Johnson not going makes me think his injury is worse than is being reported because his game on tape is impressive.

I would look into cost of a trade up to go get Will Johnson, he would make our defensive backfield look better

I am surprised by how quiet everything is on the trade front which makes me think that everyone is just waiting to see who is there at about #10 and then we will see 5-6 trades before end of round. I also think that due to the lack of top end talent but lots of similar graded guys that the Bills might've be up farther than expected because the cost will be less.

I have had mixed feelings about Francis since he took over the papacy. At this point I think he will slide a bunch because no coach wants him unless they think that Sanders will be like Bo Nix and truly pro ready as a rookie, but the teams at the top have too many holes. If Sanders struggles and a coach is a top 5 pick two years in a row it is unlikely he gets year three.

I do worry that all the QBs stay on the board outside of Cam Ward and everyone is taking defense and WR before us.

My realistic hope is we draft Kenneth Grant, because that is the easiest upgrade but if the backend of our defense is on lockdown because our DBs are so good I think we can survive a year with the DL we have in place.

With the signing of Tre I feel we don't have a position of true need like in years past. We can now choose BPA from the DBs, and DL in the first two rounds unless a great WR drops. For the QBs this draft feels to me like 2013, nothing that will pan out as special
