I will tell you that we knew in March of 2020 that COVID was truly only dangerous for the elderly, because when we shut down schools in FL I stopped going to see my parents till July 4th, but you pretend otherwise because if you admit it then you must acknowledge your willingness to destroy children's lives so you did not have FOMO.

Don't believe your own eyes and ears is the matra of the left, no one knows anyone under the age of 30 without at least 2 comorbidities who was hospitalized, much less died, but you wanted to force everyone to get the shot, which was known not to be effective for more than a couple months. You expect me to listen to "experts" who get everything wrong, but I am the moron. I want to to answer one question directly: are my healthy teen children a threat to your health because they are not vaccinated?

I do not remember if you have mentioned what city you live in but I can say with certainty that the collusion of the media and the "experts" caused your life to be paused much longer than mine. Much of the "expert" claims were laughable from the get go, closing schools, the lab leak being conspiracy theory, the "vaccine" being long term. None of these concepts held up to the smallest amount of scrutiny but due to the lies and those willing to repeat whatever they heard we went through a time where my wife had a 25 year old family member not allow me and my kids to come see them because my kids were not given the shot. To not recognize you were lied to so blatantly is an indictment of your ability to reason.

Usually is the proper term and you are correct, my preferred method of coaxing business plans is to allow them tax breaks for X months, basically allow them to build the business without worrying about government taking a chunk too early. Have had multiple events with people at house over past few weeks and politics has come up briefly on several occasions and a couple of things that came up that surprised me. 1) people who are "well informed" but only by MSM and NPR did not know that the Hunter laptop was real, several stated it was Disinformation repeatedly until I showed them a liberal source. 2) the more liberal you are the more in favor of Ukraine war and the less you think it has cost us so far. Though to be fair I had a conservative friend who though it was approaching a trillion. 3) the more you hate Trump the less likely you are to care that Joe Biden denies the existence of his grand child in Arkansas, which to me is the most horrendous thing he has done. No discussions have gone too deep because of the events but thought those 3 points were interesting

When students discuss with me anything that has to do with the media most of them are at a point where if the MSM, which includes FOX, says it then it is mainly wrong. Most kids recognize that the main goal now is to get clicks, not accuracy.

Before I get to my point- you did your job as a father and should be proud, your kids were taught where you invest your resources and it is in your kids. I work in one of the largest school districts in the country and while some of public schools suck, some are phenomenal for allowing kids to flourish. My sons school has kinda the two tracks in the school itself for kids who choose to be great and those who just want to graduate. In my school we have public schools with billionaire kids mixing with the welfare kids based more on effort than resources at home. Crappy school are not a forgone conclusion for public schools unless the parents accept it.

Part of the lack of love for Tyrod is he was kinda boring to watch unless he was running. I prefer Flutie and Fitz because they were exciting, sometimes really bad things for Fitz but exciting. Yes, immigrant kids, outside of the really rich Brazilians, are never my issue. I will point out the additional time kids rarely use it, parents just want it to make themselves feel better about being crappy parents usually. The other most common accommodation is "preferential seating" which some parents think that means the kid gets to choose where they sit, it means I have to pay attention to their location in class.

The trend was in place but the explosion has been since COVID. COVID broke many parents which in turn overwhelmed the schools ability to help kids until it really bad. But the two things we as society need to do is stop making being a "victim" a point of pride. If you are mentally ill or truly victimized I want to help you, not confirm you. Secondly we need to stop telling kids that a terrible effort will be tolerated, I have parents telling me there kids "did the best they could" when the kid spent 3 minutes on the 4 questions assignment I gave them 20 minutes to do in class. (Yes that was a real example) I know the kid would struggle but he did not ask for help, he did not do research, he simply did not try because he is not afraid of me because parents would not back me. Last thing is one school policy- no phones in class at all and each violation is a out of school suspension.

Florida has already worked a way to help poor children who go to lesser schools gain admission. If you are in the top 10% of your class you are automatically eligible for acceptance to all State Universities except UF and FSU, they are even more selective. If your school does not offer all the AP courses my son was able to take them you still can go to a good school and if you fulfill the Bright futures scholarship requirements you can go for free, or at least really close to free.

A large push to close mental hospitals cake from "one flew over the cuckoo nest" and Nurse Ratchet. I have some interaction with the main one in Orlando and I don't see much help happening, just stabilizing and release again. The vast majority of mass shootings are from the left, they just don't get the coverage normally. Whether it is gang members, the Nashville shooter, or Uvalde if they don't mention the shooters politics they are liberal. There are some from the right side but much less than the left. Secondly 2020 was a violent summer in liberal places, it was not related to politics. Murder and arson are not political unless it is focused on a politician, that was simply violence, trying to pretend it was political says you can justify anything if you call it political.

So murder and burning down police stations in 2020 is political discussions but removing someone from office is political violence, what a dumb argument.
