  1. The whole reaction to the play call has been a little too black and white for me.
  2. If they can get a real offensive coordinator like Norv Turner, I'd be reasonably happy.
  3. Thanks, Stadium Wall Welcome Wagon!
  4. Yes, the playcall is a quick rollout and a pass to a TE or something. If the play is not there, you either run or throw the ball away. It's pretty simple. JPL executed it terribly.
  5. To be fair, Belichick spent some time being successful as the DC for Bill Parcells.
  6. They are two completely different QBs. Why not get a veteran who would work in the same system as Trent? Pennington would have been perfect.
  7. I feel you. I enjoy the fun of a December game played in the snow as much as the next Bills fan, but not only has the team not benefitted from it, selling out games has been a struggle late in the year. Unfortunately, the team needs to attract casual fans along with diehards to the stadium. Casual fans may not enjoy freezing their butts off.
  8. The new mag-lev train that will get people from Albany to Buffalo in an hour or less will probably revitalize interest fan interest in Albany.
  9. How much did it cost to build Lucas Oil Stadium? A standard high quality dome would not be too terrible, but it ain't happening any time soon.
  10. Maybe you should look down the Thruway when thinking about large corporations in the area.
  11. The coaches and OC will almost certainly be picked by the start of free agency. That said, the guy needs a fresh start anyway.
  12. The likely 2010 version doesn't look too bad: http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y146/jdesign/2010Taurus.jpg
  13. How can his performance be misleading because he came back from behind in the second half of games producing overall good numbers?
  14. Wow... I thought the Bills collapse was more unprecedented than it appears. I remember the Vikings now.
  15. Just all march out at an early point like at the start of the second quarter. You need to do something that will be on TV.
  16. We still have the NBA despite the Raptors and the NHL with all the internationalness of it.
  17. I say this because of our ongoing playoff futility. Other teams are worse this year, but only the Lions have as long a playoff drought.
  18. The only team with a worse situation for the fans is the Lions and that may not be the case with there being little concern of the Lions leaving Detroit.
  19. This is a perfect opportunity for the CFL to return to America: Shreveport Pirates, Las Vegas Posse, Baltimore CFL Colts here we come.
  20. So which is it, Bob, the talent or the coaches? Two consecutive columns with different conclusions.
  21. If the Bills just did the standard slow start, mid-season surge, then late season collapse then I think we would all be handling this far better. It would be the same old problems. Sure we would be sick of it and probably calling for Jauron's head but it wouldn't be as bad. Instead we had a great start at 4-0, then 5-1. Sure we were waiting for the other shoe to drop, but it was hard to envision that the Bills would not at least get a wild card. Then they just completely choked and collapse, losing in just about every way imaginable. And the Bills fall somewhat corresponds with the worsening economy. It is hard not to be pessimistic and pissed. I thought the Dallas game last year was a low point. But this feels far worse. I would almost say like we are experiencing the Dallas game as a season. Amazing early performance, struggles along the way, but it seemed almost impossible to blow it, then they blow it in shocking fashion.
  22. Watching JP play is like watching a slow-motion replay or like someone sleep-walking. The three and outs, the rolling out into sacks, the drilling short passes so that they are almost uncatchable, it's annoying.
  23. It's like there is a conspiracy against Donahoe.
  24. I am with you on the whole changing coaches every three years thing. What bothers me so much about Jauron's failure is that I know that this every three years a new coach thing is not good for the team. Unfortunately, I think that keeping him is even worse. It would be one thing if the Bills showed consistent improvement under his tenure, but outside the 5-1 start this year, the team has become worse each year. The value of consistency is why you don't fire a coach who has a bad season or two after showing success in the past.
