  1. Would it be so bad for the NFL to just expand? These stupid 4 team divisions and the scheduling ease they create seems to big reason why they don't, but it seems likes a silly reason to prevent the NFL from coming back to LA and expanding to San Antonio.
  2. There will be a huge relocation fee paid to the NFL by any team that moves to LA as it would deprive the NFL of a very lucrative expansion site.
  3. All right, DE is solved...
  4. Sign a veteran like Toomer and then draft best players on the board in the mid-rounds down (absent exclusions... we don't need 5 QBs). DE, TE and C are far bigger needs.
  5. ^^Post of the day.
  6. Paying for improvements for a stadium that may or may not be built that may or may not house an NFL football team seem like the perfect use of taxpayer funds in this economy.
  7. Copying the successful teams is what got us into this mess to begin with. We cannot keep chasing the schemes of the teams that are successful. By the time we have the personnel and have the scheme down pat, the other teams will have already changed to next new thing.
  8. Was this guy a safety for us?
  9. I really do not buy that the Bills were such a terrible team all along. Something happened to the offense, to Edwards and perhaps the coaching that explains why the Bills were suddenly so terrible. The Jets and Dolphins games that began the slide were very winnable games against -- at the time -- good teams. The Bills suddenly starting making stupid mistakes.
  10. Perhaps Bills fans should not root for teams that once played elsewhere (Ravens, Cardinals). They also should not root for a team that occupies the field of "best fans" and "blue collar" (Steelers). Further, Bills fans should not root for a city with A-holes (Eagles) and fans who think that somehow getting to a bunch of NFC championships and losing =s what the Bills accomplished (Eagles). Sorry, there's no team to root for. But I will root for the Ravens. All my relatives are from Maryland (my father actually moved to upstate NY and since I was just 2 when the Colts moved, I picked the Bills as my team).
  11. The funny thing is that both Wire and Leonard showed flashes when they got playing time. Wire did well both in special teams and when he was finally moved to back to his natural position.
  12. Which games did you see this year?
  13. I think the key is that so many of the people so skeptical about Edwards were the same ones who were such defenders of Losman. It's hard for one not to wonder whether there is some bitterness there taken out on Edwards.
  14. To be fair, he did fail to win 10 Super Bowls.
  15. He was on Countdown for one year and on NBC as a color commentator with McGuire for one year.
  16. Was Jim Kelly really that much worse than some of these guys?
  17. Bills minus five losses = playoff team.
  18. If the Chargers get into the Super Bowl or at least beat the Steelers, do they suddenly count as a winning team that the Bills beat?
  19. At what point does everyone get sick of the "woe is me as a fan" stuff and move on?
  20. The Bills very well might have made bad selections by going RB, but certainly teams have done just fine drafting RBs high.
  21. Paul Tagliabue presided over the worst period of franchise relocations since the NFL's infancy. Not only was there such crushing franchise relocations, they were fueled by taxpayer money and the abomination of personal seat licenses. Browns moved to Baltimore Oilers moved to Memphis/Nashville And... Raiders moved to Oakland (not necessarily a bad thing) Rams moved to St. Louis I remember when Houston got the expansion team, the question arose as to what this new team would be called. Some said "let's call them the Oilers." "No!" said Tagliabue, "that name is permanently retired." As if it would be so terrible for Houston to have the name the city's team had for decades. And why was there such franchise relocation? Yes, the 90s boom times had given governments with more money to support new stadiums, etc., but the way he promoted the bullsh-- that perfectly fine stadiums were no longer good enough for his shiny corporate NFL and the way he approached expansion caused it all. Baltimore and St. Louis were the most deserving cities to get an expansion team in 1990s. Yes, Charlotte was an up and coming city that was probably ready, but going to Jacksonville and then implying that the NFL was just going to shining new cities rather than revisit the past by returning to cities with a storied football history, created desperation on the part of these cities.
  22. Is a car a good investment IN THIS ECONOMY?
  23. It is too bad that the big upstate cities cannot merge into one super city.
  24. Was he with the Bears when Jauron was there? I doubt it, but maybe someone can correct me.
  25. I believe the Bills ran up an impressive win streak towards the end, but loss 2-3 games before beating KC to the end season in order to clinch a playoff spot.
