  1. Your post is funny for two reasons. 1. Inferring that I want pit bulls banned because I was making parallels to the two arguments and 2, b/c the article you linked to shows how common it is to let cats outside-regardless of how much it bothers people who like songbirds or hate cats. (For that matter, I suppose those who like disease-infecting rats probably hate cats being let outside as well.) And again, I never claimed that cats should be let outside, I was saying that they are. And the harm within the risk of letting a cat out is that it might kill a vermit or a bird, or might get hit by a car or might run away. It is not that someone will kill it for their own amusement. Therefore, she wasn't asking for it or anything else when this happened. If the cat got hit by car, then you could be making that argument.
  2. Whether or not I or you think it's okay to let cats outside, it is extremely common and accepted that people do it. I might think that pitbulls shouldn't be allowed as pets at all--but they are. I am not going to enforce my own standards of what I THINK should be allowed and start killing the ones I see in people's yards. When I was a boy, the neighbor's dog kept on breaking out of its run and would chase me down outside with its jaws open. I didn't think it was appropriate to try to kill it just because I didn't like that it was coming after me. Likewise, if one thinks that too many songbirds are being killed by cats the solution is to change the rules on cats or try to convince people not to let their cats out, not to go all vigilante and kill someone else's pet. Acting in that way shows callousness to the pet-owners who care about their pet regardless of how low regard you might have towards the animal. What clearly isn't allowed and what violates common decency is to purposely have your dog kill another's pet in their yard or anywhere else.
  3. Perhaps in some places there's a law against letting cats outside, but that's not the norm. In fact, I would bet that most people let their cats outside. Sure there's a risk that something will happen to them, but for many cats I don't think keeping them inside works very well. Besides, there's a different between letting a cat out--which is normal behavior--and that cat kills a bird or something and going into someone's fenced in yard with a pit-bull to kill someone else's pet and property for your own entertainment.
  4. That is the opening remark before the article by Forrest Mims, who was there. Usually it's good to read more before spouting off.
  5. They would make more of a comeback if there was 90% fewer people here.
  6. Note that he supports someone actively spreading Ebola on purpose in order to achieve his goals.
  7. Do you support this?
  8. This makes me sick.
  9. 12 Monkeys Comes True
  10. Um.. or we could just read the actual article in the Buffalo News.
  11. Your work has copies of draft services? Where do you work?
  12. This makes it seem like BF to me.
  13. 1. QBs are different. No one is sweating Sam Aiken's performance nor Fast Freddie's... WRs can ride the bench without much detriment. Leadership and faith of one's teammates are crucial. Forget his ability and crappy play, JP appears to not have the faith of any of his teammates. 2. I don't want JPL off the team, but if management and the coaching staff was really down on the guy enough to want to dump the guy--then all I am saying is that I am going to assume that there's something really wrong with Losman rather than that the coaches/management don't know what they are doing unless I see evidence otherwise.
  14. Wow, exactly how I feel about this.
  15. I wouldn't lump those who want Moulds gone with JPL haters. I have my doubts about JPL and don't understand the love fest for him. However, Moulds has actually proven something in this league and for this team. For that reason, the situations are completely different.
  16. Could we have gotten that deal with him? If so, then I have to question Levy's handling of this.
  17. I wonder who has been making the decisions the past 5 yrs.
  18. Listen I don't want to run the guy out of town, but if the Bills actually felt that it was worth moving on, then instead of assuming they don't know what the heck they are doing, I would assume they would have some legit reasons to go this way.
  19. That reason is that the hope that Losman will turn it around is the only hope some people have for this team. This is despite the fact that he was awful last season and appears to be hated by his teammates. If he wasn't a former first round pick, people wouldn't give two craps about this guy leaving the team.
  20. I haven't followed the Jevon Walker drama... is his main beef with GB or with what they are paying him? If it's the latter, then it's just the same headache with less draft picks involved. How many of Favre's receivers have left Green Bay and done much of anything?
  21. What does the other team need to pay if they take on Moulds via trade? 5 million? That's not bad in today's inflated FA market. Giving up a pick or a similarly disgruntled player is a small price to pay to guarantee that you retain his services if you are desperate for a receiver.
  22. Ridiculous. Are you trying to pick a fight?
  23. FWIW, I can see parallels to investing with these FAs. Marv is trying to look in players entering the prime who look like they might take it to the next level. Some likely won't pan out, but if a few end up being great signings, his strategy will have paid off big time.
  24. Maybe so, but this to me is another example of a judge abusing his discretion. Making an example out of someone always rubs me the wrong way.
