  1. The peak 24 season was last season. This season has been stretching believability more than normal. I can suspend disbelief normally, but the writing has been sloppy this year.
  2. That's actually how he should make his decisions and I hope it's true. In today's NFL, that's probably much how things go. You can get away with writing off one season (as we did last year) but two in a row is no longer the norm.
  3. Sorry if this has been posted already, but why didn't Jack ever play the recording into someone's voice mail or try to make some effort of getting people to hear it as early and as quickly as possible?
  4. The point is that he was the only who has done it, albeit in the past. Fans have no say in the end. But I just hope that people aren't pinning their hopes of the season on JP starting. They should just be pinning their hopes on competent QB play by someone this season.
  5. What is upside? Based on what people thought of the QB when he was drafted? How much that is invested into a QB is irrelevant. Sunk costs are sunk costs and the only thing that should be considered is who will do the best job at starting QB now. I truly hope this isn't a ruse and that however incomplete a picture you see in training camp and the pre-season they truly use that to make their decision. They have to pick a QB somehow and past draft position should not be the sole deciding factor.
  6. 1) TD 3) People assume that's the only good outcome.
  7. Impatience? It's about not giving up on a season for a late first rounder who got worse the more he played. Impatience? The Bills haven't made the playoffs in six years. For JP to start, he simply needs to actually be the best QB, not the QB with the greatest potential. The unemployment lines are full of late first round pick QBs who had lots of potential but never worked out.
  8. They are letting the star QB ride a motorcycle?
  9. I found 8mm to be highly unenjoyable when I saw it. Very boring I thought at the time. Maybe I need to see it again.
  10. He'll be respected if he outplays Holcomb and Nall. That will solve the leadership problem. Anointing him all over again won't solve it. That being said, it was ridiculous not letting him play those last two games. But this season isn't lost yet.
  11. Blitz, blitz, blitz!!! That always worked on 3rd and longs...
  12. Losman should get nothing. If he's the best QB on the roster he should start. If he's better than Nall and the team is out of the playoff hunt he should start. Otherwise, sit his ass down. The regular season isn't training camp for flame outs.
  13. As in dismally bad IMO. I had to watch it six times in the space of a month for a freshman writing seminar. "This is not my speaking voice, it's my mind's voice!"
  14. Maybe so, but I haven't seen JP establish himself as any more of a leader in the eyes of his teammates.
  15. Yet the offense seemed to do far better with him as the QB.
  16. B/c he's not sexy enough.
  17. He also actually needs to hit his receivers on the short patterns.
  18. If Holcomb's the best, so be it. Things may change, but if it doesn't... Well, you can't change reality and if that's the reality he should start.
  19. Which QB has been looking best in practice. Have they said?
  20. Thin Red Line and I didn't like it the first time I saw it.
  21. Naw, no animals in it. It was a pretty dark show for kids actually. It was definitely targeting kids well into grade school.
  22. No, thanks for the effort, but that's not what I am thinking of. The latest I probably saw this show was when I was 7 which was 1989... It looked like it was dated at the time.
  23. Naw, looks like "Read All About It" is not the one I am thinking of. Everyone was from the future except the librarian it seems.
  24. Was described in the comments of that IMDB listing for the other show. This sounds more like the show I am thinking of.
