Obviously Buffalo would struggle to keep this new team and it's not going to happen anytime soon. But as everyone else says, basketball would do the best. Cities like Sacramento, Salt Lake City, Oklahoma City are all great basketball towns. I actually think that if there was a basketball team brought to the area, it would be better for it to be in Rochester since it would be that city's own and people to the east would have an easy time getting to the games. Besides, Toronto already has a team. Rochester Royals yet again?

You can put all sort of exceptions you want on when the Bills won when he was the QB and when they lost, but using that logic, you can say that every game that Holcomb started was not by him. It is a team game afterall. Holcomb didn't win X game, that was b/c his receivers caught the ball. Holcomb didn't win Y game b/c the defense didn't let the other team score 45 points. I can understand wanting JP to start for various reasons, but I am not sure I understand the animosity towards KH. I don't think he has ever complained or whined about his situation. He hasn't tried to start a QB controversy outside of playing well at times when JP struggled. He has the potential to be a third string QB after being the best QB on the team last season, but I don't think he has been going to the media about it. But I suppose it is hard not to get personally invested with the horse we each have picked in the fight and view the others as almost enemies.

I remember how the standard ESPN line was that fans did not care about steroids, they just wanted to see "dingers." Then they realized how wrong they were and then I thought they had turned a corner. Now, all they do is felate Bonds over passing someone on the list.

Note that this thread is really about love. I used to love ESPN and hope it can regain its past glory. What has happened to it is that it has become like the Cable News Networks, lots of cheap shows, debate and opinion that doesn't tell you anything. Keep in mind that I do like PTI. Debate can good if it is not repetitive, not nasty and has a wide-breadth that is what makes it different.

I have been one of those down on JP. But there was one game I did not see until I watched a tape a couple of days ago, that of the Carolina game. I have to say that Losman showed me something in that one. He was hitting the short passes well for once and looked more like a young QB still learning from his mistakes than one that just couldn't get it. I am curious, what were his stats, including QB rating, from the KC game onward?

Amen.. the constant blitzing is what always got me. It was amazing how many big plays the D let happen on 3rd and long. Certainly it would be a surprise if the Bills were in the playoffs. But in the NFL, it is hard to predict success or failure. Anything can happen once you start playing the games. Until the Bills are eliminated from contention, I ain't ceding anything.

Also, I think that next season Michael and Walt have to either get away from the island or they have to save Jack, Kate and Sawyer somehow. I doubt the writers would let the rest of the people execute him or anything for what he did and he certainly could not come back to everyone else like nothing had happened. I am assuming that the only reason that the Others chose those three people is that they viewed them as the greatest threat. They are not all "bad" since while Kate and Sawyer are murderers, but Jack seems like a saint in his past life so far.

I thought Charlie was acting strangely when he came upon Claire. It almost seemed like he was happy with the thought that the two of them were no longer there since he is so bitter about actions by both Eko and Locke. He almost seemed evil in that scene... I didn't think there was that much to that look. Instead, I thought it was meant to show that Jack is her true one and only. She chose to look at him rather than Sawyer. In general, I think it was just supposed to show trepidation over what is to happen.
