Well don't worry about me and supporting them. I own stock and own one of their cars. I have faith in you guys!

If they are going to keep KH on the team, they should play him a bit next game. Rightly or wrongly this guy did start 8 games last season. It seems like he would take it as quite the slight if he saw such little action during the preseason and was suddenly third string. He has not been complaining about Losman starting this season or last season, but I wonder how much he can take.

I can't answer your question, but is Ford field named after the car company or the owner, William Clay Ford (Henry Ford's grandson)? I wonder b/c if it is the car company then the Ford motor company is paying extra $$ to the Lions at the same time it kind of honors the owners. Seems like sort of a conflict of interest.

Heard Mort on the radio in ATL this morning
Arkady Renko replied to buffaloboyinATL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Mort was saying that Buffalo was one of the times interested when Collins was still available. I am surprised Mort would have any scoop on the Bills considering Donahoe's change in employment. -
I thought this was an introduction to Holcomb's Arm's replacement: Nall's Balls.

I suppose you could say that I grew up in the 90s, although I was around for 7 or 8 years in the 80s as well. I suppose it was a decent time to grow up. The Cold War ended soon into it and we were not too worried about terrorism.

It's Official, Drew is out of Dallas, (Henson)

It's easy to be smug when you have a hot wife sleeping next to you. -
DJ knows how to use the preseason
Arkady Renko replied to SuperBills12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, we should be patient. I hope that by Week 3 the convential wisdom here does not change to Mularkey actually was a genius and great motivator as evidenced by the winning streak in 2004 and his problems were b/c Wilson and Donahoe were too meddling. -
I am now a 2L. My advice 1. Everyone will stop writing out briefs by the end of the first semester. The key thing is to note the BLL for the final and be able to recall enough to handle the professor's questions. 2. Remember that it's the final that matters, not memorizing the facts of the case. 3. Don't freak out. It's hard to know how well you are doing b/c you don't get much feedback until the final. Work hard, but realize that most people are feeling the same as you. 4. Get plenty of sleep. It's much easier to read cases and recall what's in them when you can focus. 5. Ignore the gunners. The people talking all the time in class are often not the best students. Don't worry if you have trouble coming up with pithy reparte w/ your professors. 6. Make sure to have a life separate from law school. I found it was important to have an escape outside of school. I was glad I lived off-campus. 7. Find a mentor whether he be a professor or someone else. 8. Don't be a dick. Yeah, you are on a curve and competing with everyone else, but don't get caught up with how well everyone else is doing, don't hate on others accomplishments. Worry about yourself, the curve will take of itself. 9. The best method for preparing for finals is to get a hold of an old outline and update it w/ the new material as well as customizing it to your own liking. It seems the most time-effective and it allows you to avoid the cramming that others do.

How long has Upshaw represented the players? I believe the NFL was the last to get true free agency (1992 or 1993). If Upshaw inherited the lack of free agency from his predecessor, I think he had less bargaining power than those who lead other leagues' unions. Now I know that a court allowed for free agency, but I believe the NFL agreed not to fight it or something if the players agreed to things like the salary cap.

He does have a point on guaranteed Ks, but whenever he makes his point he tries to needless be shocking and over-dramatic w/ his language. Remember his comment about the Winter Olympics?

Another tidbit to like about Fairchild
Arkady Renko replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Both past coordinators, in my opinion, made things too complicated and tried to outsmart themselves too often. Whether it was FB option passes or constant, weird blitzing...I am glad that it appears that things are different now. -
I went a year and a half ago. Being a grad student, w/o dental, I have been delaying going back. I think my fatigue extends farther back, but maybe I should go anyway just in case. Thanks for the idea.

Is it just me or am I the only one who thinks...
Arkady Renko replied to HeadInTheClouds's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's doing color for the preseason games as well--Gus Johnson is doing the play-by-play now. Last season, Tasker did play-by-play and Levy did color IIRC. -

I wonder if maybe we are a little tougher on the former Bills as announcers than we would be otherwise. We want them to do well and we want them to be nice to the team. When they aren't, we might be a little harsh. I hated watching Kelly on Countdown. Not b/c I actually thought he was the worst, but b/c I was always nervous about how well he would do and I always hated when he messed up. But maybe that's me. -

Arkady Renko replied to HeadInTheClouds's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I kind of like him, but maybe my standards are low. Gus Johnson appeared to make a lot more mistakes than Tasker the last 2 games. Someone seems to like him, as he has moved up the announcing ranks at CBS. I certainly think there are far worse color guys, like Randy Cross for example. -
Peerless hasn't just been missing from the offense
Arkady Renko replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I heard he went to South Africa to get away from it all. Rumors about drug use are unfounded. -
I guess part of the problem is that for so long I wasn't sure if there actually was a problem or whether what I was experiencing was normal. It sounds like it isn't. This has helped.

Thanks everyone for their opinions. I am going to give it another go w/ a different doctor soon and see if I can get anywhere.

Can anyone tell me how Nall looked?
Arkady Renko replied to Kiwi Bills fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess a question is whether the coaching staff feels like Nall deserves a chance to start the next preseason game. Considering that he was promised that he would be allowed to compete for the starting job, I am wondering if in light of last night's quality performance--admitedly against scrubs--the coaching staff feels like they owe it to give him at least the first quarter. The only reason I see them cutting Holcomb is that it is a Posey situation where they think they can't give him much playing time or anything else here, but feel like he might be able to catch on somewhere else. But, I really doubt you'll see him cut. -
Danny Almonte or whatever situation here?

Yeah outside of allergy stuff, I don't have anything besides fatigue. So I think it isn't Lyme disease. Sorry to hear about your wife. I hope she's getting through it all right.

What makes u say that?

I kind of wish it was something cool like that. Unfortunately, there's this woman who's normally sleeping right next to me and I think she would notice.

I am pretty thin. Is it still likely?
