Can anyone compare the winters in Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse to those in Ithaca and Albany? If you can do some but not all, that's great too. I am interested in the character of the winter, how good the snow removal is, how easy it is to get around in the winter months, etc.

1. Unfortunately, the economic realities is that the opportunities are so much better for the people that moved that they have to take them. If New York was its own country, things would have changed already as people who have had to have stayed would not suffer this for very much longer. 2. The people who leave, left for the reason. The people who stayed, stayed for a reason. While you will find people who are looking to come back who left and people who are here who wished they left. People's own experience of the situation will somewhat color their perceptions of the macro situation.

My guess is that he wants to reduce false start penalties b/c he feels that lowers the quality of the games. I disagree but I think that is the extent of this story and his reasoning.

If you find the job you want up there: salary, the nature of the job whatever and you want to move up there I say it's a no brainer. I would base my decision on the job I get not how the overall economy is.

I don't believe Cornell is closing anything up there. I believe that this lab is simply moving from Albany over to there.

I think the Jets game was far more winnable than the Pats game. It sort of reminded me of a Texans game a little while back where Tony Banks came in and did us in again. I would have been quite happy with 2-1
