  1. In spite of it all, if they hold teams under 24, that should be good enough for a win. We should be able to count on our offense for 24 every game. That is a baseline for a solid NFL offense.
  2. While I liked a lot about Roman's scheme today, the gimmicks are horrible. Every time he trys to get too cute with a flea flicker or something, it backfires. Just line up and play to your players' strengths. You've got enough playmakers to win without a chan gaileyesque offense.
  3. Tyrod is the best when he's rolling out to his right. Every time I see him get outside contain, I am 100% confident that he is about to throw a strike for a big play or take off and run for a big gain. Until teams can completely shut this down, Roman needs to keep a healthy dose of sprint outs and naked boots happening. Preferably with Sammy running across the field from the left side.
  4. Yeah, let's go out and get Greg Hardy or someone of better character.
  5. Clearly you've already identified the problem with a thorough and accurate medical analysis. Perhaps since you have done a full mental assessment from watching him play football, you should treat him? You seem immensely qualified.
  6. How dare he bobble it then have the absurd concentration and athletic ability to haul it in for a 70 yard gain. He should play exactly the way I think a football player should or else he stinks!
  7. Bull rushed the tackle with both speed and power and gets him in full back pedal on his heels... was able to spin on a dime to the inside, but in spinning to the inside, he still kept outside contain on the QB. Then he strips it, grabs it off one bounce with one hand. If he hadn't blasted Tannehill so hard that his momentum brings Jerry down, he might run this back. Honestly, I know it was against a scrub tackle, but being a former D-end, this is one of the most beautifully athletic pass rushes I've ever seen. Ever. Sure can. Rex and co. gotta keep coaching him up. He's a great player and I love him as a Bill. He's got some fire to him.
  8. Don't worry, you're in with the majority of Bills fans. On his next personal foul, the masses will calling for him to be cut or benched once again. Then he'll sack Fitz with one hand, take the ball from him, run it back for a touchdown, and set us up for a win. A bunch of fans will be mad that they were wrong, and they'll brood until there's another penalty so they can call for his head.
  9. Strip sack, Hughes and Mario both lined up on left side. Mario is playing the 3 tech and Jerry is the 5 tech. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/0ap3000000575192/Bills-Jerry-Hughes-forces-and-then-recovers-fumble Also, Mario is 1:1 with guard and doesn't beat him. Not sure if he was supposed to hold up to be a QB spy... sure hope so. Otherwise he just gave up on this rush.
  10. Seems like something a high school coach would do. These are professional football players and multimillionaires. They need to be coached, not benched. He pushes it to the limit, and sometimes that results in a penalty. A good NFL coach can work with guys like Hughes. An amateur disciplinarian would just bench him because it's easier. Different players require different types of coaching. Also, his PF today, in my opinion, was a pretty soft call. Typical for an NFL ref though I suppose.
  11. I can see that it helped. I would have to rewatch film to look a little more closely. I did notice they were lined up on the same side a few times. That was interesting. At the same time, I've seen Mario get 1:1 matchups a number of times this year on passing downs. It seems to me that Hughes is winning those matchups when he has them more consistently.
  12. Gregg is a dirtbag. Good for Zimmer calling him out. Did anyone else catch Rodney Harrison call out Fisher a few minutes ago on Football Night? He said while playing against Fisher's team (Titans I guess?), one of the Titans(?) cut out his legs on a play. He said he looked up and saw Fisher laughing as he was hurt on the ground.
  13. He's making a strong case to get paid before the season is over. The longer we wait, the higher the price goes.
  14. He's been the most consistent pass rusher every game. He doesn't have the sack numbers of last year (yet), but no one does. He's collapsed the pocket more often and more effectively than anyone. Mario's absence in that category is troublesome.
  15. He runs nothing like Spiller, but yes, he is great player. If he can avoid the head to head shots (he's already had 3 concussions in college/pros), he is going to be a great back in this league. Starter material.
  16. And it's not close. He showed everyone why he got a big contract today and why he is a game changer. That strip sack/fumble recovery was incredible, and it was absolutely critical to the win. The defense was bleeding, and the Dolphins were moving the ball at will. Hughes single handedly stopped that in one play, which subsequently led to a TD on O and flipped the game's momentum. You can credit Hughes as much as any other individual player for today's win. Also, he forced their tackle to hold him all day, one of which led to a critical game changing penalty, as well. IMO his personal foul was pretty ticky tack. He was playing to the whistle, and it was very, very close. He did everything he could to keep him up while making sure he didn't gain another yard. He has an attitude that is by far a net positive for our defense. He also makes amazing game changing plays. I can understand the occasional frustration when he makes a personal foul, but if you're one of the reactionists who calls for him to be benched or cut every time he gets a penalty, you're a fool. The guy plays his heart out week in and week out, and we're very lucky to have him.
  17. Amazing how he looks better when he as a real NFL QB throwing to him.
  18. Bills are back this week. Mario and co. tee off on Tannehill per usual. Bills 35 - Dolphins 14
  19. What's up with Karlos? Is he practicing yet?
  20. Jesus please stop. And please remember this was all against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Only Bills fans could look at the qb play from yesterday and think there's anything there to build on. Sometimes I think some fans like to watch us lose. My god. Does it hurt being so wrong?
  21. This is correct. If you still think the fundamental flaws of EJ Manuels basic ability to play football can be fixed (and in two weeks???) I'm sorry, but you dont have the slightest clue what you're talking about. You are a casual fan of the game who obviously hasn't played or coached it at a high level. You should consider listening to those who have and stop pushing this ridiculous agenda because you like the guy. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but this is getting absurd. Maybe some people just like watching the Bills lose? Maybe EJ reminds some people of themselves or their kids or something who are not very good at sports but they try really hard so they have this unyielding faith that someday they'll make it? Im actually really fascinated by this state of denial that so many are in with this particular player. Don't know if I've ever seen anything quite like it. Just amazes me, because unless you're blind, you're just choosing to lie to yourself.
  22. PI call was absolutely absurd. That said.... shocking we got back in it. Bortles gifted us that pick six. Ej Manuel is not an NFL football player.
  23. Why are we drawing up plays for gragg? Maybe we should be doing that for clay or an actual playmaker?
  24. Yeah. Even the homiest of homers must finally get itnow. Not an NFL QB... at all. Hope he pulls some type of miracle in the second half here. Really wish we would have kept cassel.
  25. Just realized that EJ cannot throw to his left. Always late. Slightly better to his right.
