  1. Messing around with the playoff machine tells me we have a decent shot at the 6th seed even if we finish 9-7. Chiefs are probably a lock for #5, if we beat the NYETS we will win the tie breaker, and the Steelers have a lot of tough games ahead of them. Not worried about the AFC South, they won't send two teams to the playoffs
  2. This. It is Schwartz that should be missed. Not Marrone.
  3. If Pitt beats Seattle, they will go 10-6 and get a WC spot. If we beat KC, we should only need 9-7 to get in. AFC South won't send 2 teams to the playoffs
  4. Good, now I don't have to cover my eyes every time McFumble is back deep
  5. During which they played the Broncos, Packers, Vikings, and Bengals to be fair. They did lose to Chicago though. I think this game really is a coin flip. A lot of it comes down to if Taylor is healthy.
  6. Interesting site. "Team with the Best Defense" picks the Chiefs (58% correct on season) "Team with the Best QB" picks Buffalo Bills (58% correct on season) I would actually predict that the Bills defense plays better from here on out this season. I also think Alex Smith is the better QB, in terms of "who would I rather have on this team".
  7. I'm still at half mast thinking about his one-handed grab on Monday
  8. I don't know why they let Ray "I got off because I'm a superstar" Lewis anywhere near the NFL
  9. Agreed. If anything should have grinded Gruden's gears, it should have been that play. I was furious how one-sided the commentators complained about the Pats getting screwed by the refs
  10. Anyone else upset about the non-PI call on the Pats CB when he shoved Hogan on the deep ball (1st Q?). Haven't heard anyone bring it up Also, on the offsetting penalties that reversed the INT - why isn't illegal formation a dead ball? If they are lined up illegally, why should we get nicked for a holding when we might have needed to hold to make up for the illegal formation?
  11. In other news, the Patriots and Panthers are really good teams.
  12. I'd rather not sneak in either because we will just play the Pats that much sooner. We need to take 5th seed not 6th
  13. The Buffalo community needs a win on Monday night. More than that, we need to see the Bills players play their hearts out.
  14. Not including last season's finale when they benched Tom Brady... The Patriots have won 40 of their last 40 in-conference regular season home games. Chew on that for a minute
  15. When your division leader isn't over .500, your division sucks. This applies to NFC East and AFC South Are the Giants a better team than us? Probably. Will they win the division? Probably. But if I was Dallas and only 2.5 games behind NY, I would give Romo one or two starts until the light completely goes out.
  16. TBD has been calling the Dallas game a L since the schedule came out. Haven't they lost like 7 straight? Okay, so Romo will be back by the time we get to them. But will they decide to tank the season after being eliminated from playoff contention? Will they play with the same heart as a team fighting for a WC spot? Will they even risk starting Romo for the remainder of a season that is lost for them?
  17. IIRC Bryce Brown's fumble was probably the play that cost us the game? Either way, we outplayed KC the last two match ups and still came away without a W
  18. IIRC, the eagles wanted Woodie for Shady, but we counter offered with Kiko I don't know if later developments would have caused any differences in hindsight (acquiring Clay and Harvin, less production out of Brown and Bradham) but...eh, it tells me the FO likes what they see from Woodie. I think he's a valuable asset to the team
  19. I'm in a similar camp. I think adding more spots devalues making the playoffs. And allows teams who haven't earned it all season to make a superbowl run
  20. I agree that naming IK captain isn't exactly crossing any red lines. It's not a total *$%# move, but there are definitely some subliminal tones. You have to agree Rex runs his mouth more than an average NFL coach, and that's what people have a problem with. After yesterdays game, when asked about the upcoming matchup vs the Jets, Rex says "Yeah I hate those guys......uh, just kidding, it's just another game"...giving the impression that he's a coke bottle filled with mentos about to explode with trash talk
