  1. No problem. What position was he at? left or right side of line?
  2. I just reviewed the DVR (gotta love it), I didn't see McGee #24 on the line. I did see #84. Thomas was the back #28. Most of the lineman jerseys were hard to make out, but none looked like McGee. So, upon further review, I'd say this is a case of mistaken identity.
  3. I find that nearly impossible to believe. Perhaps as Fla Bills Fan suggested, corporations are buying large amounts of tickets elsewhere. There's definitely something to that, because the Miami game back in game 2 was noticeably devoid of fans. And I'm sure we could see similarly empty seats in other teams stadiums. So, I just don't buy it.
  4. Oh. Well, in that case.... I have no idea.
  5. Maybe for his speed to run down a Jag if the kick was short and they tried to run it back for a touchdown??
  6. I have the exact same mojo! For that reason, I haven't worn a team jersey in 2 years. I wear a generic Bills sweatshirt and t-shirt. The only jersey number I wore successfully was Kelly's; however, that was actually an old Ferguson jersey. I tried that with Losman - wearing my old Fluite jersey last year, the guy was benched 2 weeks later. (I think the curse is getting stronger.) Within a year or less of me buying a jersey these players were gone... Thurmanater, Bruuuce, Flutie, and Drew. I, too, really want a Losman jersey now that he appears to be here for more than a few years, but I'm reluctant. I was thinking of getting a Wire jersey.
  7. Why can't we just have a couple of guys in the booth that talk about the football game that's being played and the players that are playing it. Explain formations, breakdown plays, point out little things that most fans may not notice, and give decent play by play calling - ya know who tackled who and where. That would be so refreshing. All this rambling crap about what happened in so and so game years ago or some inside joke, blah, blah crap just gets old.
  8. I would argue that for many fans, they've simply reached their breaking point. You buy and buy and hope and hope. Eventually, you just say, "screw it". So, until the team wins consistently (and I think that's the key) I'd guess you'll see this reaction. And I have to things to say about that attitude: (1) Who can blame people for having that attitude with this team? I certainly can't and won't. (2) Maybe that's what the team ownership needs to see to start spending money again on free agents and trying to put a winning team on the field.
  9. Stop confusing us with the facts. I much prefer unwarranted opinion.
  10. Given that these highlights show up and leave without my interaction and that the box records shows without me turning it on; I'd say it' might be smarter than me or at least working independent of my actions. Hence, I figure I better give it some respect before it takes over my house and tells the refrigerator to kick out my beer.
  11. I do believe it's short for "My Video on Demand". I'm fairly new to it, just getting a DirecTV DVR this fall. It appears to be where all the shows that I record reside.
  12. I think numbers like these, plus JP's play of late make, throw in all of Jauron's comments on him and it's a foregone conclusion that JP will be the QB for the rest of this year (regardless of our win/loss record) and next season and in all probability for the next several years.
  13. Anyone else notice this? They have highlights of all the games. Pretty nifty. Not sure when they started this feature.
  14. Very good points and reason for hope. However, what concerns me is those teams seemed to run all over us and then try to pass to get in the endzone which meant we could stop them eventually. The Chargers, on the other hand, rely on LT to get the ball in the endzone. So, I can see them scoring big on us. And I do agree, we can't focus on LT so much we over pursue or that Rivers burns us in the passing game.
  15. I really hate trying to read other boards. They're all so messy with graphics and colors and sigs and crap. It takes forever to try and figure out who's talking about what. That's the last link to another board I follow. I love the look here. Its clean and easy to follow with a tasteful use of color and limited graphics in the avatar.
  16. But the two go hand in hand. If he thought Young had thrown the ball, then he thinks following through on the tackle likely causes a penalty. The problem here is there are so many ticky tack calls when guys touch QBs that its causing defensive players to let up; thereby, giving QBs chances to continue a play like Young did. I agree with a previous post - they should just put flags on the QB and leave it at that. Also, for all those complaining about the celebration penalty, please don't bite the hand that feeds you. On that same play, there was clearly a blatant hold on Coy and Thomas was holding Parrish up - both (if called) would have brought the ball back and took the points off the board. IMO, we got off pretty darn lucky there and this is definitely a week we shouldn't be complaining about blown ref calls.
  17. Hence my concern this week with perhaps the league's best runner coming to town. If we make average backs look great: what will LT look like after this game? I can only hope that Jauron et al. have some serious mojo to pull out of their collective rears to do what they haven't done all season against the one guy that does it as well as anyone all season. Maybe 10 in the box and 1 guy playing back on the goal line?
  18. What's your plans this coming Sunday afternoon? Going to see the Penguin movie, perhaps. I'm sure we can get a pool together to buy the tickets.
  19. I agree, crap it is. But, this is one of the problems with the Sunday ticket - you get most of the games, but not all. When I first moved here, I got the ticket, but of course, no local channels. When the local CBS station is showing a game, it's blacked out on DirecTV. Which sucks because for the local channel I used to have to switch to an antenna feed (like it was 1970 or something). Well, with the current state of the Bills, I doubt they'll ever be on local TV down here. So, no biggie for me this season. I always wondered why they couldn't just show you all the games on the ticket without all these restrictions and such. I suppose that corporate America at its finest.
  20. I agree with you and JP seems to be playing to that level. Similarly, Peters looks to be ending a long-time need for us as well. That... is nothing short of miraculous. For anyone that's not sure of JP's play, I offer this: He played such a good game that he has caused LSI Cadet to officially jump on his bandwagon. More importantly, he's done what no other poster on this board could do... he's silenced Deluca! Now that may be the most impressive stat from the game. The haters are losing their ranks fast.
  21. Thank You.
  22. am I the only one that saw a tremendous hold on Roscoe's punt return for TD? It looked like Coy Wire holding number 31 on about the 45 yd line. We always give the refs crap about BS calls (i.e. the celebration after the punt return TD). But, shouldn't we also give them some credit for helping us out there? Or am I just seeing things.
  23. Could this be it....... Bills Zone 2006 Year in Preview
  24. First time in JP's young career?
  25. I understand what you're saying, but I'm not ready to write him off just yet. He may not have gotten alot of tackles, but I saw him moving around alot and regularly in the middle of the action. As many have noted, his is typically a career ending injury and therefore we should reasonably give him more time to regain form. Perhaps he'll never be the beast we remember, but he may still become a solid player.
