  1. No, it doesn't. The only weather that's a significant hindrance is wind or a field with bad footing, and that will affect all players. And the amount of true "bad weather games" in Buffalo are so few that it's of no concern. Blabbing about weather is filler for TV/radio personalities.
  2. Manuel was reached for with the 16th pick and will make millions because of it. Everyone would love being in that situation. That's not a positive with some of the cases this year. Rogers only chose Buffalo because his agents told him this was the easiest team for him to play on. Pough, because of scheme and our LBs being garbage.
  3. None. The optimal situation is Kolb plays well and stays healthy for 2 years. Then make the tough decision to keep him over Manuel. Manuel is very very raw, and people expecting him to walk in and dominate will be extremely disappointed.
  4. I don't know about the leadership stuff, but Geno is a good, smart kid. I wish him the best. I think the reason he dropped is that he's not a good QB. I concur with Cosell's assessment of his "slow eyes". I really doubt Geno has what it takes for the NFL.
  5. Sheppard is slow for an NFL MLB and can't cover anyone man-to-man. That's the big reason Pettine wanted to cut him, he does not fit his scheme at all.
  6. I don't think so. Duke Williams should play SS, he's competition for Searcy. Meeks is a guy they reached on for ST, I guess.
  7. Both teams trading their busts. Hughes was a big disappointment for the Colts. But, the Bills have more of a need at 34 OLB, especially if Dansby is signed, so yay.
  8. I'm just happy the idea of only 'high-character' guys on the Bills is over.
  9. While I think the Bills reached on Manuel a little, I'm most pleased they did not settle on Nassib. Gives me some hope this staff is finally a competent one.
  10. If tonight's picks go like I think, Manuel certainly wasn't lasting to 41. Odds are that Manuel busts, anyone that watched him at FSU knows he has to improve immensely and learn how to run an offense. Good luck, Marrone. But, I can't fault the Bills for finally addressing the QB position, and recognizing value for once.
  11. Getting that 7th irritated me, because it justified WGR and John Murphy's constant mention of only having 6 picks this draft like it meant a damn thing.
  12. Glennon says all the right things. I think he knows all the right things. And then on the field he stares down receivers and tries to make stupid throw after stupid throw. He drives me nuts.
  13. Kenny Vaccaro. I assumed he was junk because of Texas' horrible defense and he seems like an idiot, but he's a really great player. I'm still not enamored with taking a safety at 8, but I wouldn't hate it now.
  14. Everyone hits and misses on players, no matter how much research you do. I can honestly say I've been right more than the Bills have been in the past decade, though. Barkley is my reluctant choice in this poll. I doubt any of these QBs end up being a top 15 starter in the league.
  15. I don't think Nassib would sell a significant amount of tickets, especially when that matters by December. However, it's undeniable that Nassib would draw a more positive reaction because he went to Syracuse and grew up in PA and Barkley is from California. It's frustrating being around these people.
  16. It's far from obsolete. The draft remains far and away the optimal way to build your team.
  17. One thing I like about Manuel is he quickly separates people who've watched him play and who has simply looked at his stats.
  18. I'd look to trade, then settle on Jordan. He's the only potentially special talent I see in this draft.
  19. I'm going to say it when Nassib is drafted, but know I won't live up to it because I'm a masochist.
  20. Nothing will be better than Gailey admitting on Day 1 that Spiller would never be his workhorse back.
  21. Nassib is accurate. That's about the only thing I like about him.
  22. Because it's the Bills, and Nassib would be the most embarrassing pick.
  23. I don't agree. Gailey's offenses were 28th, 14th and 21st in the league. Gailey had some decent parts to work with. A potentially great RB that he refused to use. An above-average OL for most of his time. Fitz wasn't optimal, but I still think he's a passable starter in the league (and let's not forget that his choice was Trent Edwards, Gailey is the WORST at determining QBs). I think suggesting that Gailey was some offensive guru here is a stretch. Gailey got a pass until the end because he wasn't Jauron, and his offenses were slightly more fun to watch. At the cost of being possibly the worst defensive coach ever.
  24. I remember watching him with UNLV. I don't know if he's much of a blocker, but he's a big guy who can catch. Could be a sleeper FB for a west coast offense. McIntyre wouldn't fit well, so it will have to be someone.
