  1. I'm glad to see Easley getting some recognition. He battled through that heart ailment from his rookie year and found his role in the NFL. What is the over/under on the number of receptions he makes for the rest of his career?
  2. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't Houston and Miller considered LBs, whereas Hughes is a DE?
  3. Who do you think/should be selected to the Pro Bowl this year? I think Dareus has the best chance. Mario might have a shot too. Obviously Gay is a lock if the AFC opts for a kickoff specialist. Kiko also makes it, but everyone already knew that.
  4. I certainly wasn't expecting that type of performance considering everything that went on leading up to this game. I know the Jets are a train-wreck that crashed into a tire fire, but maybe there is something to the "only practice for 3 days" thing. I say try it every week just for fun.
  5. I'm surprised Roger didn't move one of the games to 4:30 today so he close out this debacle of a press conference with, " Let's get ready for some football!".
  6. I wasn't thrilled with the accuracy on some of his throws.
  7. How long does everyone think the "don't let E.J. do too much" game plan can be effective?
  8. We better not go up big and knock Rivers and whatever other quarterbacks they have out of the game. I'd have to think Reich is their emergency backup and envision him lighting it up for another comeback win.
  9. I was listening to "The John Murphy Show" tonight and one caller said we have been winning since E.J. is being utilized as a game manager. Murph disagreed pretty strongly and said he is too talented for that role. I think, as of right now, game manager is all I want him to be. It ain't broken, so no need to fix it.
  10. He may have to drill a gas well or two.
  11. I think they should let the Pegula family rock the owner's box on Sunday.
  12. Do you think Higgins can get this done by Thursday? I need to see the Jordan Palmer/Jordan Gay era begin without a tape delay.
  13. They had until the end of the month and here we are. I wonder when the findings will be made public.
  14. He had a bit of an up and down career.
  15. It's not a great John Houseman name like Alec Berg.
  16. The Raiders are the most popular in California? Methinks this study is a little off.
  17. I think they are looking for which singular play is the most memorable.
  18. ESPN is having fans vote on the most memorable play in each team's history. The three they came up with for the Bills are a tad disconcerting. The first selection is wide right, which will be followed by the Music City Miracle and Beebe chasing down Leon Lett. It would have been nice if one of the plays was positive. What does everybody here think is the most memorable play in Bills' history? http://espn.go.com/b...play-wide-right
  19. I said that I find it a little annoying. Even though I have a problem with his questions, I still enjoy listening from time to time. I just think it would make the show better if he didn't predetermine the responses of his guests.
  20. I'm sure this thread is dead, but I thought it might be fun to play a game. In honor of John Murphy, pick any subject and come up with the easiest question when interviewing someone about said topic. For example if it was fracking, you might ask, "That involves drilling, am I right?"
  21. "I got to think that pizza has cheese on it. Is that true?"
  22. I've listened to The John Murphy Show a few times since its inception. Each time I've tuned in, I get a little annoyed everytime he conducts an interview. He always asks questions that automatically elicits the guest to agree with him. He had MIke Catalana, the sports director for 13WHAM in Rochester on the other day. One of his questions was, "I'd think the people of Rochester would be pretty happy with a new stadium in Batavia, wouldn't you say?" These kind of softball questions seem to be a part of every interview I catch. A few weeks ago, he asked one of the players (I forgot who) that if they have an improved run defense this year, will it help the defense? I think it might be helpful John. I'm surprised he doesn't ask somebody, "I gotta think that footballs have laces on them. Does that seem right?" I can tell that John is a very nice man and cares a lot about the Bills, but I wish he would ask a few more thought provoking questions.
  23. I listened to Mike and Mike this morning as well and they said the Bills weren't going to L.A because they were going to Toronto instead.
  24. "And it'll be Dennis Dixon backing up Jeff Tuel as the Bills try to avoid an 0-8 start"
  25. "T.J. Graham starting today because of injuries to..."
