  1. Ofer so far huh? Let me guess at some names that were mentioned on the tour: Drake, Sagan A name that might have been mentioned: Fermi Names that definitely were not mentioned: Ward, Brownlee, Von Neumann. Accurate?
  2. I understand but the Mets have Alonso as their signature veteran. The Yankees are an atrocious mess. If they lost Judge who was their main attraction/leader? Stanton? Gleyber Torres? Donaldson? Shirley. Might as well be Horace Clark. Judge should have left. He’d be much better off. Look at Baltimore’s team and pipeline. Add Tampa’s. Toronto and Boston should both be reasonably good the next few years. The Yankees only option is to spend big dollars on free agents because their prospect pool is very bad. They have nothing to trade and very little to build upon. They are going nowhere for years.
  3. I don’t doubt it’s a great place. If they’re making claims about aliens, they’re embellishing. If they’re simply talking about the cosmos it indeed sounds like a great place.
  4. To Next: 1. Yes 2. Yes 3. Kaku is a charlatan 4. See 3 5. I’m sure he’s smart but being a charlatan is where the $$$$$$$$$$$ are. To RTH: They’re either wrong, embellishing or lying but everyone has to make a buck.
  5. It’s all they have. They had to pay him. If another team had paid him the same, I’d agree it was a bad deal, but there was a lot of CYA in there for the Yanks.
  6. I would love to visit there and the universe is incredible. Like many, I look forward to the incredible discoveries to come. Your statement about math is false.
  7. How big of a scoreboard is needed to write “0”? Mac Jones is still their QB after all.
  8. Then add that to the list you’re wrong about.
  9. Oswald Peraza is at this point far superior to Anthony Volpe but Volpe’s name makes him more popular so the Yankees are rushing him and holding back Peraza and/or playing him out of position. They are likely to ruin both.
  10. No one has refuted it at all.
  11. It’s inthis thread.
  12. Why not? It’s how they select their roster. This is probably nail in the coffin weekend for the Yanks.
  13. I offered no politics in that I took no sides. I just stated facts, answering a question. It isn’t like the Jauronimo stuff in the Barbie thread which I’m sure precipitated some warnings.
  14. Basic math is all that is needed to explain the falsehoods in play here.
  15. Some of the American women playing for the national team are not acknowledging the national anthem while it is playing.
  16. He didn’t do what you wanted him to do.
  17. Or maybe he could make sure his return men aren’t run over by jet skis.
  18. If I’m doing my math correctly he and Ullmark were the only two guys on that team who aren’t complete douche bags.
  19. You brought all your prospects up. Some of them have potential but I’d agree that the results have been disappointing, Too bad the Yankees don’t have much to offer. Could you imagine what they’d give up for a guy whose name sounds as Italian as Vinnie Pasquantino?
  20. If you knew about stuff that was happening which is why other stuff not happening when stuff happens is happening you might not be able to figure out why stuff isn’t happening.
  21. Jackassery for the sake of jackassery? If you believe innjackasseery.
  22. Two words: Anthony Rendon. Just kidding. But they made a lot of bad moves.
  23. The Yankees are not a well constructed team. The Bills are one. You seem to inexplicably believe the opposite. Next up: Josh Donaldson > Josh Allen???? FWIW I think you should root for whatever team you like. But rooting for them and assessing them are different things. Calling the current version of the Yankees a well run organization is comical. But hey, they swept the Royals winning by the skin of their teeth each game.
  24. The Orioles have a bajillion prospects. I agree they should not make the trade. I’m not sure why but I think the Angels retain Ohtani short and long term. I don’t think he gets the record. If he were to get traded, I think the team that can give up the most prospects is the Dodgers but no way does the Angels owner allow that. Texas and Seattle are next….both division opponents. Not much makes sense to me. I will throw out two wild scenarios. The Twins are a good team with prospects but need a top line bat. They can give back well rounded players/prospects. The wildest is the Padres doing a 1-1 for Soto. Soto has one more year and neither team can afford both. It gives the Padres a shot at signing Ohtani and gets a great consolation prize for the Angels. Lastly the Padres give up Soto as a seller in a three way trade with Ohtani going to a 3rd team and the Padres getting the bulk of the prospects.
