This one sentence from the article says it all.. "Witherspoon didn’t capitalize on the momentum of the Turner Battle years." He had all the momentum on his side(Battle, Cage, Middleton, Jordan, etc...) for a couple of years and couldn't use this to recruit any legitimate prospects that would be able to step in and continue the success of the program. The last two years have been huge disappointments.

IMO one of RW's dumbest moves during his time as the Bills owner. The Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Buffalo rivalry would have been tremendous.

That being said, the new "master plan" was promised in August, then September. Haven't heard a word about it since then. No accountability=no results.
