  1. Can't get off the field on 3rd downs and no pass rush...what else is new?
  2. I'd be okay with trading Lynch for an established veteran(assuming someone other than John Guy is doing the e v a l of the player coming back in trade). No way I'd trade Lynch for a draft pick(s).
  3. Can we play Miami tomorrow, so this nonsense can end. The dome is closed, it won't be opened even if a billion people sign the petition, and even if it was opened, there is no advantage to the Bills if there is a blizzard.
  4. You must have missed the earlier posts. He's a good locker room guy, hard worker(high motoro), the Bills FO likes him and thats all that matters!!
  5. Don't forget about Bennie Anderson!
  6. The Bills are 3 deep at WR? Evans, Reed and who?
  7. His last two years in SD(2004 & 2005), his numbers were pretty damn good. When exactly was his pro career over? http://www.nfl.com/players/drewbrees/caree...ts?id=BRE229498
  8. It's fixed no matter where you finish except for two games. 2009 opponents: Home: Buccaneers, Colts, Dolphins, Jets, Patriots, Saints, Texans, TBD AFC North opponent Away: Dolphins, Falcons, Jaguars, Jets, Panthers, Patriots, Titans, TBD AFC West opponent
  9. Ellis is a DE pass rushing specialist. How is he going to be replaced by DiGiornio or Bowen who are LB'ers?
  10. Next years schedule is going to be a lot tougher... 2009 opponents: Home: Buccaneers, Colts, Dolphins, Jets, Patriots, Saints, Texans, TBD AFC North opponent Away: Dolphins, Falcons, Jaguars, Jets, Panthers, Patriots, Titans, TBD AFC West opponent The Bills have a lot of work to do in FA and in the draft in order to even have a sniff at the playoffs in 2009.
  11. Calgary's kicker, Sandro DeAngelis who played HS football at St. Joes and is from Niagara Falls has had a successful career in the CFL. I'm not sure if he has ever been invited to an NFL camp, but you would think sooner or later he'd give it a shot...unless he is content playing in the CFL. http://cfl.ca/roster/show/id/408
  12. Thanks for clearing that up Captain Obvious! All this time posting here, I thought my opinion really mattered to the powers that be at OBD.
  13. So he is a good locker room guy, who brings it all, does his job and works hard...and how does this equate to being a starting DE in the NFL? PS The two plays he made were the exception not the rule for Kelsay and do these two plays make up for the fact that he is bringing NOTHING to the pass rush at a time when the Bills could really use some help in that regard(and no he is not being double teamed, so don't even bring that excuse to the table ).
  14. All I was doing was stating my observations on the two. Did I say anywhere in my post that Ellis needs to replace Kelsay in the lineup? Maybe you are the one who is insane.
  15. Just a reminder...Kelsay's contract, 4 years 23 million!
  16. I agree that Brady is good no matter who is out there. I was referring to a less talented QB like Cassel who does benefit from having talented WR's around him.
  17. I like Mitchell(I think he needs to show more against the run), but he had a couple of plays yesterday that were approaching Eddie Robinson-esqe levels.
  18. Considering his salary, Kelsay should be off the team next year. Not benched...OFF THE TEAM! Don't tell me about the two times he actually made a tackle yesterday. He is a joke of a player. Wasn't it Kelsay who was chasing after Thigpen while Johnson was running in a lane where Kelsay should have been, on his way to a 60+ yard gain? When he isn't taking himself out of position, he is getting locked up in a big way by whatever tackle he faces, good or bad. On the rare occasion, that Kelsay does get a shot at the QB, even QB's with little mobility can find a way to make him miss. Denney I can live with since the Bills aren't paying him a ton of money, but Kelsay is a joke and so are the Bills for giving him the contract he has. Just one quick note on Ellis and why he may not be playing. There was a play yesterday(it may have been one of McKelvin's interceptions), where the RT knocked Ellis to the ground with what amounted to a straight arm to the shoulder. I mean send him flying backward right on his ass. Hopefully Ellis hits the weight room in the offseason and improves on his techniques.
  19. Does system=player talent? Forget about schemes or play-calling. Any QB who has Moss, Welker and friends instead of Berrian and bunch of nobodies is always going to look better. That being said, I wouldn't call Cassel a scrub. He still has to make the throws regardless of the system and the talent level of the players around him. His play is getting better as the season progresses.
  20. You are forgetting one thing. McGee will be a UFA after next season. Who do you think will be easier and cheaper to re-sign Greer or McGee? Is McGee that much better than Greer, because he will be looking for the Brinks truck once he hits FA. Or do the Bills let Greer and McGee walk and then spend another 1st round pick on a CB?
