Report: Katy Perry will play halftime at Super Bowl XLIX
LabattBlue replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You will never please everyone, these are the typical comments you will hear... Classic rock act...Those guys suck, they are 100 years old. Pop...That music is all fluff, no talent hacks. Country(look out it will be coming to a SB very soon and then many more after that)...Who likes country music! Alternative Rock...Who the f*** are they and what songs would I recognize. Rap...You call that music. R&B...Boring -
Multiple Reports : Pegula IS the new owner
LabattBlue replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not being negative. I just have seen the Pegula's not being "in the spotlight" type of people as Sabres owners. If they have an announcement/introduction/gala/whatever great. I am excited to have them as owners of the Bills as much as everyone else. I just wasn't expecting it. Nothing more, nothing less. -

I guess we will see. I'd be surprised, but it wouldn't be the first time i was wrong. -

I'm not sure what you are expecting, but I wouldn't look for anything substantial. 1 - What are you hoping for, 4 days after they take ownership? Also, Pegula never struck me as someone who has to be in the spotlight ala Jones & Snyder. 2 - The Sabres also open the season this week, which I am sure the Pegula's are also very excited about. -
Well said.

At this point, does anyone think we keep Spiller?
LabattBlue replied to Big C's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1700 yards from scrimmage and 8 rushing/receiving TD's is just a "good" season? I'm not saying he is the be all, end all, just that I think that the coaches could play to his strengths more than they are. I'll move on. -
The guy has a funny nickname, rips off one big run, and I read repeatedly on here that the Bills need to get him the ball more. Anyone ever look at his track record? He is a journeyman ST'er who can be the infrequently used short yardage back/blocker. Nothing more, nothing less. If anything, I'd like to see Bryce Brown get a chance to get some carries.

Duh. Jackson is a different type of runner who also is probably 20 pounds bigger than Spiller, and built to run between the tackles. This is a case of a coach(es) trying to put a square peg into a round hole instead of taking advantage of player strengths. BTW...If Spiller is such a bust, why did he have success under Gailey. My guess is that in 2012 when he was having a very good season under Gailey that you were probably drooling over him. -

Where Spiller was drafted or if he should have been drafted by the Bills is a moot point. He is a very talented RB, and it is the job of the coaches to figure out a way to use him successfully. I guarantee you that if Spiller was with New Orleans, Philadelphia, or another NFL team with a forward thinking OC, he would be a weapon. To continually run him between the tackles is STUPIDITY 101. If Whaley & Marrone wanted to build an OL of guys who are immobile, and hire a "green behind the ears" OC, than they should have trade Spiller in the offseason. -
I like Gaenzler, but the signal strength is awful.

You don't know that he can't be better in Buffalo than his previous NFL stops? Maybe the last couple of years as a backup have been a wake-up call? Maybe he will find this system to be a good fit for him? ...or maybe he will stink it up? I don't know for sure, and neither do you! But if he can be accurate and decisive, that will be a 100% improvement over Manuel whose head is completely messed up.

Just saying to call out Watson in front of the media instead of behind closed doors was a ****ty thing to do. Not saying that Mickelson questioning the strategy was incorrect. Just the way he handled it.

Buffalo fans, and their love for the backup QB.

100% agree. -
Mickelson is an !@#$ for throwing Watson under the bus at the PC after the tournament. Even worse, Watson was sitting a few seats down from Lefty. I hope he never gets sleected for the Ryder Cup again.

Marrone, Hackett, Whaley, & Company Over their heads
LabattBlue replied to rcatty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
- He gave up next years #1 pick and if this thing continues to implode, it could be a top 10 pick. - You have no QB to get the ball to the WR's, so it doesn't matter how elite you are. Fix the QB problem, and then we will see if Watkins is really an elite WR. -
Marrone, Hackett, Whaley, & Company Over their heads
LabattBlue replied to rcatty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The buck stops at Whaley. - He hired Marrone and during that interview, I am sure Marrone's potential assistants were discussed. - Gave up a #1 for Sammy which if the Bills have a 7-9 record or worse could be disastrous for him with new ownership coming in. - Drafted Manuel at a point when most observers felt was a big reach. 1-1/2 years later, it appears to be a pick that was wasted. - All this talk of the Bills being the best team on paper is just that. The OL has been a trainwreck and continues to be one. Don't know if it is coaching schemes or player talent, but the pass blocking has been way below average. Is it really that had to find above average OG's? - I'm not sure how much input Whaley has in terms of the decision of Orton vs. Manuel, but this is the one that could determine the fate of Whaley and the entire coaching staff. Stick with Manuel too long, let the season fall apart, and you will probably all be gone come next spring. Get Orton in there now, and he might just save all their jobs. -
How many of those 4 dropped passes were game changing plays?

Multiple Reports : Pegula IS the new owner

All I ask from Pegula is to make the last 14 years disappear from memory. Marrone, Hackett, Manuel & to some extent Whaley will make his decision to clean house, an easy one.
