  1. Bar Bill is opening a joint out in the North towns for us lucky folk up here Opening Fall 2019
  2. Couldn't agree more on your thoughts about Trent Murphy
  3. They could very well become 1 and 2 this year. However, I'd take the under on a combined 80 receptions without Kroft in the picture all day. For a measuring stick, Kroft had 42 receptions for 404 yards in 2017. You're more likely to see one of them reciprocate this than both adding up to 80.
  4. I'm more okay with this prediction more so than the OP's either Sweeney OR Knox. No doubt they're hard not too root for and get excited about. But I'm trying to temper expectations. What's a successful season for either of these guys statistically? Rec's, Yards, TD's? Our leading TE last year was Croom with 22 receptions, 250 yards and 1 TD. Go ahead and add in Clay's statistics (21, 184, 0) to form a total and you get a whopping 43 receptions, 434 yards and a TD. That is less than average as far as the league goes...collectively! Let's stop comparing our current players to past players, and start looking at them in comparison to players across the league: If either player totals this amount of yards or receptions as last years COMBINED total, you can certainly count it a success. A rookie TE with these stats (43, 434, 1) would be encouraging. But keep some perspective. If you compare this stat line to last years TE crop across the league, we'd collectively finish 19th in yards, right ahead of Jesse James but behind C.J. Uzomah (43, 439, 3).
  5. They kept 4TE's last year I think the difference is you'll see 3 on the initial 53 and then 4 once Kroft is activated from PUP
  6. I appreciate this post but I was being sarcastic. See my post prior to the one you quoted stating I liked Tyrod: "Always loved me some Tyrod. In hindsight, not sure if it was because it was a glimmer of excitment in an otherwise dreadful decade or I truly thought he could get the job done. Either way, I hope he finds happiness and success in LA. He always seemed to be a 1st class player and guy"
  7. I always knew he was garbage

  9. Yes, 100. I ain't going to lie, def said I was going to buy a Sweeney HOF jersey. But if there is one thing we do well (or me at least), it's getting overly excited for a usually disappointing reason
  10. No worries, it comes natural to me! One thing we can agree on is that we’re optomistic regarding the position. One thing we vastly disagree on is that these potential players are studs. I mean, show some confidence in this prediction and narrow it down. If you feel strongly about it, which TE is going to be a stud, in your opinion. To me, Ed Oliver is going to be a stud. To put any TE on this roster in the same class is ridiculous. You're entitled to your thoughts and opinions, and no hard feelings over a disagreement. I just don't understand the confidence you have
  11. Yes, in a way. Mostly they’re expanding their market and making there product more available. The NFL is becoming less of a sporting event and more of a year round entertainment package. Look no farther than the new stadiums being built. These things are amusement parks. Or us. Just a bunch of sad sacks of crap with nothing better to do on a Sunday afternoon than discuss football.
  12. He’s got a kegger the night before. Frat Stafford knows what’s up.
  13. This. It’s just evolving
  14. Pass #13 for those keeping track. I like his comments here. I’m not going to speculate on the pre-snap communication because we really don’t know the protection/scheme that their in. Biggest take away and my favorite point he makes that I initially thought as well: he makes the right throw. Could have had Beasley or Jones for the first, but had the confidence, awareness and ability to make the bigger dagger down the seam.
  15. We the North think this is not happening. You don’t dole out a contract to make a player the highest at his position and not play him when he is healthy.
  16. Yes it was a really nice play. No doubt he can get separation, despite his average measurables. I’m optimistic about our TE situation, actually, for the first time in years. Yet, we still have a glaring, unproven hole at the position. Bringing in a couple young players sparking with potential and coupling it with some feel-good stories and a few nice plays, isn’t enough to have me feeling that we’ve got “studs” at the position. I’m neither of those guys, but I was just behind them to their right about twenty minutes ago
  17. My biggest injury concern is for Cam Lewis. Dude came out undrafted out of a local college to outperform expectations to the point where he was earning reps that indicate he was fighting towards a roster spot when no one else, including myself, ever gave him a second thought. I hope he gets another chance, if not with the Bills, somewhere else. Feliciano, regardless of Morse’s injury, might see the field. In a situation where Ford plays tackle (idt it will happen, but possibly with injury) Feliciano should slide into RG. I’ve like him more than Long at this point
  18. This is funny. Knox has been injured a majority of camp, yet based on his limited college statistics and media camp reports, he is going to be a stud. But don’t worry, hedge your bet by throwing in the 7th rd pick who has had a couple nice catches in preseason, and you can’t go wrong.
  19. No one, as long as they play smart. I want to see all the starters as a unit playing together into the second half next Friday. That being said, I don’t need JA sliding for a first downs trying to be a hero in a meaningless game. However, I do think it’s important for them to go through another dress rehearsal, practicing making in-game adjustments and developing as a more cohesive unit. I get the injury debate, I really do. But it could happen anywhere, anytime. Teddy Bridgewater exploded his knee during a practice. Many others have gone down in training, not even in a football setting. There is always a risk of injury, more so during live action than anywhere else. But it’s a risk I think is worth taking, otherwise you wouldn’t see the widely used 3rd preseason games across the NFL
  20. At this point in the late pre-season, I think it’s more valuable to spend time figuring out how they can make pressure with what they have, rather than dealing in hypotheticals in the future. Firstly, I think they’ll be able to force 1v1 matchups on downs with long distances to go. You saw evidence of this so far in preseason with a shuffling of the DL. Murphy/Oliver/Star/Hughes flipped on a long 3rd down to Murphy/Star/Oliver/Hughes. This simple adjustment forces the offense to decide which player is getting doubled: Oliver or Hughes. It’s small adjustments like this that I think McD will likely tinker with to try and generate a 4-man pressure. Another adjustment you’ve seen this preseason, and will likely continue to see all year, is 3 down lineman with LoRax in the dirt. Against the panthers, you saw him at the 3T position on a passing down. Save the discussion on next season’s additions at EDGE for the long and uneventful offseason we will undoubtedly have to struggle through. The discussion now should revolve around what can be done with the players/scheme on hand to generate pressure with a 4 man rush
  21. I’ll take the under on Murphy at 10 sacks
  22. I can’t believe this rabbit hole is still going...and look at me, contributing to this pointless merry-go-round
  23. In what way is that bar intended to be Buffalo themed, aside from the name?
  24. It's totally possible. Regardless of his intention, my take away was that he was not chucking it up for grabs as if playing 500 in a neighbors backyard. Whether he intended to try and make a play, or purposefully tossed it to his feet, it was good to see him be responsible with the ball.
  25. Sweeney is packing Croom’s bags for him
