  1. No. Do not do this. There has to be more reliable options on your team, no?
  2. Kumerow for S. Brown seems like an unfair swap. Was this no-trade backs-ies?
  3. I hate to say it but idk how Brady isn’t the clear front runner. He’s thrown 27 TDs so far this year and leads the league in yards. Maybe these are based off of what they expect to happen 2nd have of the season, which for Allen based on last year, could be lights out.
  4. Klien is a free argent in 2023, same as Edmunds. I doubt the agent or team would allow for such short sightedness to have any legitimate impact on offers from the team or on expectations from the player and agent. I was discussing with some friends yesterday the idea of having them use Klein situationally, or in a specific package. Then you remember the Bills defense is and has played lights out all season. I doubt they’ll mess with the their current formula and I think you’re right on the money here. Let’s not overreact to a single game and instead appreciate him as a very reliable depth player on a defense that plans to make a deep run into the playoffs. He’ll likely be needed at some point.
  5. Hope we have Star back for this game
  6. Has anyone heard of a Quinton Nelson ankle injury suffered yesterday in their W v. Jax? or am I hearing this wrong
  7. Only time I really noticed him was on the TFL with the cheap 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty on AJE which was so ticky tack
  8. Probably hoping for a flag, would be my guess.
  9. No colts thread yet so I’ll ask here: Anyone see news of a Quinton Nelson injury today?
  10. Why does collinsworth keep saying they’re going to try and hit Zay deep? That’s not his game? Super weird imo
  11. Wow, roll the QB away from the trips. Just complete ingenuity. Love it.
  12. Haven’t seen those Rogers State Farm commercials in a while
  13. Pass! They are a well coach and experienced team. Pair that with the difficulty in having to play someone twice, no thanks.
  14. They play entirely different defensive schemes. That being said, you are right: generally guys play better when they play next to a guy who is good.
  15. Let the Travis Kelce show continue
  16. Are the raiders good? I just don’t see how. Convince me otherwise. Temporary placeholder HC. Lack of talent at WR. A few decent pass rushers and a leaky secondary. Aside from the week 1 OT win against Balt, who have they beat? Miami in OT? The eagles? PIT? They’ve lost to the bears and the giants, and play in the Uber competitive afc west. they are not a threat.
  17. Klein played well. And I am not a huge fan of the style of play that Edmonds brings to the table. But let’s not get carried away. Edmunds is a versatile athlete who gives the bills the flexibility and range MCD wants. Klein is not. I was talking about this today, too. Not necessarily rotating but finding a specific role or package for Klein they could use situationally. He diagnoses very quickly and plays downhill with a thump.
  18. I would agree. I wasn’t arguing any of your other points, but instead clarifying the design of most RPOs as I know them. I also never called into question the use of frequency of RPOs in todays game (which I did watch btw). I was simply disagreeing with your point that the design of the RPOs were to blame. It was the execution of the running game that has held them back, and today they executed at a higher level. Go Bills
  19. This is not accurate, IMO. RPOs upfront are running plays. They are never expected to pass block, and instead are playing the run from the get go. Specifically, these plays are designed to be executed in a way that allows for the QB to still pass the ball, while the OL is run blocking. For example, stretch zone with horizontal movement…. They are coached up not to move onto the second level, but instead work down the LOS, washing guys who cross their face. The QB generally reads a specific player, who would determine if they have the hats to get it done upfront or if it’s best to swing it to a WR/TE where the numbers are better. Pair this with the a quick decisive throw, and the OL is none the wiser. I’m not sure this is the Kryptonite they’ve faced on O the last few weeks. I think they ran the ball better today, because they weren’t relying on Cody Ford, and had early success with the quick pass game. I don’t think the RPO aspect was a huge factor, although it is coincidental.
  20. This isn’t going away, idt. Best thing they could do for him. They should rest him and make sure he is 💯 before activating him. These soft tissue injuries tend to linger, especially for fast twitch type athletes. Hopefully they lose a few games along this stretch.
  21. Are you NYSTRS tier 6?
  22. I am intending to use the three-pronged system: Pension, Investments, Social Security. My wife (31) and I (30) are both state employees, and can retire at 55. However, our retirement tier for said pension substantially improves in value for each year past 55 that we vest (approx 8% additional per year of the average of our highest 3 years salary, maxed at 63 years of age). We have separate, aggressive 403B accounts that we have been contributing to since our mid 20s in tax-sheltered deductions from our checks. We also recently opened a Roth IRA (in her name, of course!). Additionally we have the “rainy day fund” in our personal savings and obviously account for home improvements, vacations, surprise expenses, etc. Aside from the mortgage at 3.6% interest (we owe approx 188k over the next 25 years), we have no debt aside from the car payment and credit cards, which we clear off in full each month. The one area we are knowingly missing is the life insurance, which now that my daughter is 6m and we have a little extra income, we are going to secure in the coming months. We don’t live a lavish lifestyle, but live comfortably, afford what we want to a certain degree, eat and drink well and take the occasional family trip. One day I want a vacation home (not sure where) and in 30 years I am hoping that Roth IRA will the down payment on the home. Other than that, I plan to live easy and keep it simple and hopefully celebrate a few super bowl victories along the way
  23. Any age factor to this, no requirement for number of vested years?
