Maybe l’m in the minority, but I really like some of their players/stories: Purdy = Mr. irrelevant? How can you beat that? McCaffery is a McMonster Debo is a horse. Kittle is a crazy man. T Williams is also a mauler. Their whole defense plays with speed and decisiveness (Bosa, Warner, Hufanga, etc) and they make splash plays regularly. It’s good football.

Game script; Broncos hang around long enough for you to tease a glimmer of hope only for it to be ripped away by #15 who does something ridiculous, and overcomes boneheaded and less than stellar offensive production from the rest of the squad.

I’m really struggling with this whole play: At first glance it’s kind of clear what Dorsey is trying to do. They’ve got the strength of the formation to the boundary, and trying to use the width of the field to open things up. Allen’s big arm has no problem throwing from the far hash to the sideline. So why doesn’t he take Sherfield right off the bat? Was he waiting for Kincaid to open up? Eyeing up the vertical. Obviously we don’t know his read or his key on this play, but it seems like they got a look they wanted (vertical route held off the S covering #2) but Allen doesn’t take it. Interestingly enough, I feel like the design is there, but maybe this one was just run into a poor coverage option for what they’re trying to do. After all, they had 3 guys release into 6 men covering. I don’t think this is nearly as much of a respect for thing for Kincaid from the Dolphins as it is that they were just in a good coverage, the LBs disrupt his route, and the robber jumps the over essentially taking 86 out of it. All very puzzling to me. Wish I could be a fly on the wall when they’re breaking this down.

It’s like that with our safeties and our LBs…heck even Taron Johnson is techniqually filling the LB shoes many times. 49ers and the Fins run essentially a positionless offense. In my fantasy league, we do a weekly payout. Each week is randomly assigned a category at the beginning of the year. Some weeks it’s “highest scoring offensive player” or “most rushing yards”. Everyone throws in an extra $70 a season (5 a week) and it’s paid out fifty bucks a week. Makes each week more interesting even if your actual team sucks. This week is “longest FG”. Current leader of a K started in our league is 50 yards from Brandon Aubrey of the Cowboys. Carlson just missed the 53 yarder which would have earned another buddy in our league the $50. Pretty funny. I’m sitting here just hoping Raiders drives stall around the 35 yard line just for the drama

Based on his resume, history and prestige…I’m giving Von the benefit of the doubt here. No need to scrutinize his return to action because he didn’t have a sack fumble and 3 TFLs. I also agree the signing will be a burden (it already has been) as we continue to try to make it to the holy land. That being said, I think this man has earned a bit of patience from the fan base to give us what we signed him to do.

Allen and Diggs Everybody else. The offense is good when anybody else can do something. Otherwise, it’s just the elite playing back yard football and it isn’t sustainable: we’ve been saying it since last year.
