Rosenthal: True QB value rankings from 1-35
billrooter replied to chris heff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Williams MVP crowd is factual, not funny. It is called Super Bowl Game. Mahomes had three crappy quarters and a great 4th quarter. He had two passing tds, two ints. and a rushing touchdown. Williams had 104 yards rushing while averaging six a carry and a td, 29 yards receiving and a td. To me Williams should have been the MVP.. you can't change my mind but you have an opinion and thats great. The discussion on Allens great Steelers game, not sure why that is included as I didn't think he had a great game? -

I do agree with one thing in here Yav, he should have never been the MVP in the super bowl he played like crap, that should have been Damien Williams. -

LOL, I had a hard enough time configuring that, I am not tech savvy at all. Maybe the Mahomes fan can? -

Was not comparing him to Jackson, after last season and hopefully only up till this point there is no comparison, only saying they should factor one of his biggest positives into the equation as well. Josh Allens passer rating by quarter 71, 87.3, 76.2, and 102.7, tells me three things he needs to get alot more consistent, plays better when in the flow of the game and he is typically much better when the game is on the line. Is that better for context? -

Wow, first up I said what are you smoking crack (was trying to be funny) never called you a crackhead though. You lived in KC for 12 years, so whats your point Mahomes career stats 65.9 career completion percentage 76 tds and 18 interceptions and 9,412 yards, sorry he doesn't pass your genius eye test. -

8 game winning drives in two years does sound kind of clutch doesn't it though, or better yet 8 game winning drives in 27 starts? Just curious to this point, how Darnold and Mayfield (after last year) can be rated higher than him, you have to figure in rushing to the equation as well hell they did with Lamar I am sure. This is going to be an awful interesting season if you would take a depleted 43 year old Brady over Mahomes, wow are you smoking crack? -
Aiyuk undergoes surgery: could he fall to us?

Going from last years play I have to agree, but think back just two years ago......Foster had like an 8 game span where he played much, much better than 99.9% of fringe players ever play. I wish he could find that again. -
Well I had you pegged wrong Dopey I figured you were of the younger generation. I wasn't offended hard to tell on here sometimes so I understand, and yes i read the panties comment and understood just had never been accused of wearing any before LOL. You got me beat BTW I believe it was around 79-80 I became a Bills fan....old man.
-
Dopey come on panties? First up that would never be said to my face. I have to admit it was a question as I guess I haven't watched the Patriots as much as you have? Dopey were you watching the nfl before everything became flagged in offenses favor? The game today is so much different for NFL quarterbacks, with the basically no contact on the quarterback to not touching the receiver. The game has changed so much and hugging f Tom Brady even gets farted on, here's the flag. The guy is definitely a great Qb as much as it pains me to say it, but Qb's of previous eras were playing a much in a much tougher time to play the position. When was the last time you even seen Brady take a good lick, it happens but far and away way less than pre 2000s? The part I don't understand is a lot of people in this thread and previous threads seem like closet Patriots fans, Dopey do you have a Tom Brady jersey in your closet?

I agree with this and I am excited to see which rb we draft if we end up getting little to no drop off while Singletary is on the sidelines it could make this offense so much better. I am not at all sure where Lamar Miller is with his recovery from a torn acl and I would guess since teams can't visit with players at this point that is the reason he hasn't been signed. Miller is 28 and has racked up some touches but was a 4.4 rb coming out of college and is good in all three phases of the game running, receiving, and pass blocking. I would anticipate someone is getting him cheap he made 6.5 a year on his previous contract, he should be had for 2-4 on a one year prove it deal for somebody. If he was signed and not right, he could probably be cut if he isn't right and we could still draft an rb regardless, after all it is a one year deal. I know McDermott likes his vet in with each position group just wondering if he could be that guy even with this all the what ifs?

It is still shocking to me that he was defensive mvp, did the system and other players in NE really coverup all his flaws or has he really gotten that much better? A lot of people on here claim that he was a scapegoat here and he played great, IMO that is a steaming pile of misinformation from a blind person. The guy got beat a lot and was a puss for a guy that when we drafted him was considered big and physical, I have never seen The White a corner with a much smaller frame than him shy away from contact like Gilmore did while he was here. Dopey is a good name, posting pictures of your crush on a Bills board like the ones above you should ashamed as should all the other guys on here calling Brady the GOAT and hugging his nuts on here, should be sacrilegious.

For those that want a RB in the first few rounds
billrooter replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I disagree I think that Taron Johnson should be the slot guy on most snaps, Neal in there ocassionally. I also believe and hope either Gaines or Norman start over Levi Wallace but competition all the way. -
Sorry for you and your families loss Mam. May he rest in peace!

Preseason is preseason but he looked good to me in the preseason, and of course that last game. I could be wrong too that is why it is called an opinion, but our coaching staff to a fault at times plays veterans over rookies. Lee Smith was the blocking TE and Kroft was a guy they gave some cabbage too and alot of times as a late draft pick you have to put in your time. Hell I wish Duke Williams, TJ Yeldon, Sweeney, and Daryl Johnson were giving more opportunities last year but they weren't.

Free Agency News and Updates - around the league
billrooter replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But that is just the thing, Shaq Lawson had 6.5 sacks for us last year, if he has 10 this year as a full time starter or a guy who plays a higher percentage of the snaps is he still overpaid? Hell everyone is overpaid in this market and has been for years. -

Isn't Trent making like 8 or 9 from us, and that is a contract that is two years old? I would of rather had Lawson myself, he is more talented IMO. -

Robert Saleh vs. Sean McDermott...Who you got?

Depends on Salehs' background, if he was a former high caliber wrestler maybe he has a chance, if not he's toast. -
Flutie talking Bills and Allen
billrooter replied to sunshynman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He gave Allen and Buffalo big props IMO, the hosts asked him those question and he just answered them. The boners people have for Flutie I don't understand, I found way after the fact he was a supposed pain in the ass while here many act like they knew it while he was here...confusing to me. -
Who Is Your Least Favorite Bill of All Time ... and Why?
billrooter replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought of Lynch as an idiot myself since you brought that up, and while he was here Fred Jackson was a way better running back IMO. I didn't care for Donte Whitner as well. -
Everyone has their own opinion but my opinion is that this is goofy.
