  1. The family and I are on the move...from RTP, NC to the Bay area...I will be in temp housing for a year with the family coming in June 07. I already know that we are going to be living in large box over a heat grate due to the difference in housing costs, but what about the important stuff like Bills bars and wings....
  2. Maybe Gary and Travis Henry can form a band.... (I can't believe I just typed that)....
  3. That's been the knock on him I have read in the past--not just heavy & slow for the cover 2 scheme but in general...here is the latest Scouts, Inc. assessment which actually is a little different from what I had previously read...All in all I would rather bring in an veteran OT or DT who is still on the market before training camp before another LB is brought in... Claiborne has quick feet, he can slip blocks in space and he has the burst to make the occasional play in the backfield. He gets through blocks quickly when chasing and he possesses adequate range. Claiborne plays with a good motor, he takes good angles to the ball and he can make plays in pursuit. However, Claiborne isn't dominant in any one area and he isn't a difference-maker despite his abundance of talent. He lacks ideal ball skills, he doesn't explode to the ball when it's in the air and he doesn't make enough big plays.
  4. The tradition starts with Jay Rosen.....Thanks again Jay....
  5. I know, but I ain't friggin' tellin'...If it was a social security number of a veteran we'd all damn sure know...
  6. Is about Marv's workout routine....I hope I can motor like Marv when I am 80.... He's tossing those 15 lb handweights around like they were toothpicks baby...No one, I mean no one, messes with our 80 year old GM... First video--Marv the warrior
  7. Its a 4.something....It's higher than Vince Young's first Wonderlic....
  8. Eggggcellent.....or excellent.
  9. You have an irrevocable license to adapt it for your students...
  10. In related news, Johnny's Gun Shop in Hollywood, FL announced a significant increase in forecast revenue growth for the second half of 2006.
  11. My traits: 1) Team before self--the only stat that counts is the final score 2) Lead by example at all times of the year both in season and off-season 3) Insatiable will to win 4) Hold yourself to a higher standard of preparation and performance than anyone else's expectation of you 5) Not afraid to express your drive and will to your teammates, forcefully when appropriate 6) Refrain from engaging in public behavior that divides the team---criticize in private/praise in public...
  12. Thanks for posting HA. Anthony Munoz personally recommended this kid to McNally and Anthony's company is Butler's agent. It was a horrible, bush league play that could have put his opponent out of football..There's no excuse for an act like that ...but you know Butler didn't make any excuses..he owned up to it, showed he understood the gravity of his act and paid the penalty they gave him. Lets hope he learned from it and can use his NFL career to prove that he is the upstanding citizen this article paints him to be.
  13. I never liked Gary Coleman either....
  14. I knew things would pick up on this thread the closer we got to quitting time on Friday....
  15. Must have had acorn squash for dinner last night.... Or maybe some extracurricular activities under an oak tree....
  16. Munoz is actually Brad Bulter's agent and recommended him to McNally....good call Stuck...
  17. From this week's tip sheet on ESPN.com Buffalo coaches were impressed last weekend with the ability of cornerback Ashton Youboty of Ohio State, the team's third-round choice and an apparent steal in that stanza, to assimilate the coverage calls quickly at mini-camp … --- guess even though the Bills draft room was drunk and disorderly that our blind squirrel front office found an acorn in Youboty.
  18. Tomorrow according to bb.com--Chris Brown's blog. Its called Bills Digest now...but I still call it Shout....
  19. From Willis' Orlando Sentinel Interview.... Q: What kind of person were you in high school? A: Woo, I did everything you could imagine. Skipped school. I played around a lot. Q: Were you a ladies man in high school? A: Naw, I was actually faithful. Q: You almost say that like you can't believe you were faithful. A: I can believe I was. I can't believe how I am now. Q: Do you think you'll always live in Miami? A: I think I'll always come back to Miami. I don't know about live in it. I need to get out of it because I'm bad. Sideline for a blow...youbetcha...
  20. Mort is really pissed at you. Clayton has actually articulated his argument of the foolishness of the Whitner pick better than Mort. Clayton has said that even if Whitner becomes a pro bowler that the 8th pick requires too much salary for a safety. I don't agree with Clayton's assessment because our D style requires a safety to have a bunch of different skills (solid man coverage, run support, blitz) and being able to do this from various spots on the field, but at least its a better argument than Mort's -- There was chaos in the Bills Draft room and Marv is an old fool.... An aside--we should have the word turd default to Mort if he really said this... The Mort in the punch bowl was the Bills draft Willis not showing for rookie orientation displays how big of a Mort he is... This morning while reading Mort's column on the toilet I noticed I had released a big Mort...
  21. That and Caddyshack
  22. I thought it was a Baby Ruth.....I am tired of Mort....
  23. I am an idiot....I did leave Coy Wire off for a reason...
  24. With this many fast guys in the secondary we should be able to cover every receiver the opponents have--even those on the bench. Whitner Nate Youboty King Vincent Bowen Simpson Kiwaukee Thomas Greer Wow.....
  25. Chris Brown's notes from bb.com. Jauron press conference is also up. Nice recovery from Youboty..... Ashton Youboty made up for a mistake in coverage Saturday when he bit on a double move going against Andre Davis and got beat for a would-be touchdown. Going against Davis again he did not bite and ran stride for stride with him down the field and broke up the pass, earning praise from defensive backs coach George Catavolos. Ko Simpson had an interception in the deep middle off of Craig Nall intended for Lee Evans. Rookie free agent DE Ryan Neill had a fumble recovery. Anthony Thomas looked pretty good in his first camp as did Tutan Reyes. Thomas was smooth making catches out of the backfield and is five to 10 pounds lighter than he was when he played for Dick Jauron in Chicago. He's right around 220. Brad Cieslak is getting a strong look at tight end and is high in the rotation, often right behind projected starter Robert Royal. Sam Aiken made his share of catches in this camp. Coach Jauron said the Bills do not plan to scrimmage anybody as part of training camp this summer. He said he's never done it as a head coach and would prefer to stay on campus at St. John Fisher and focus on his team. ---
