  1. Microsoft philosophy--keep the capability the same--keep the same flaws--just slap a different number on it if I re-issue the product..
  2. Over the years you have done a great job providing some insights Astro..as you study these draft sites--do any of them stand out from the perspective of not necessarily where guys are going to be picked--but with how they rate players--and their hits on "successes versus busts" analysis. The average fan is never going to know about a players' work ethic and intelligence--two key factors in turning a college player into a good pro..even in the top 1A college conferences--a kid with great ability can shine without being a great worker or very smart..do any of the prognosticators seem to have an edge? Thanks---
  3. I spent Tuesday through Friday in Boston on business this week....supremely confident about tomorrow's game is the way I would portray the home crowd. If Tom Brady were God -- he would be suffering instead of triumphing...Bills fans are closer to God..we are like Jesus, we have been traveling up Calvary since 1966
  4. This is brilliant....better conceived than the majority of the predictions on this board. Thank you for adding intelligence and insight into the world of insane predictions.
  5. The board has a search function -- if you're that interested-- see for yourself.
  6. I can also think of 5 times more moves where the prevelant speculation had the move/acquisition hailed as the best thing since sliced bread or the worst move since Custer's strategic war plan that turned out to be the opposite. I guess I would just rather let the team make the moves and react rather than talk about acquiring this or that draft choice or this or that free agent and hear about how great they are--when 80% of the people posting the crap don't know sh--...no disrespect -- just personal preference.
  7. 1) Spend more time with my wife and children on Sundays 2) Realize that Marv, Coach Jauron, Tom Modrak, Ralph Wilson and the Bills Braintrust make personnel decisions with much greater knowledge of a player's skill, attitude and work ethic than I do 3) Try to add thoughtful discussion to this and other forums for Bills talk regarding these personnel decisions..trying to be realistic that not every move will be with the intent acquiring a player who is or will become an all pro and getting this present/future all pro signed to an under market contract... I like where this team is going -- it should be fun to watch... Anyone with me???
  8. Not too many people would take the path you have taken jz given that kind of childhood. Congratulations young man...wow... You have the opportunity to be a phenomenal mentor as a teacher and a coach...
  9. Rumor has it that Britney Spears is pregnant again...you don't think that the father is.....???? Nah--couldn't be... http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,2...5006024,00.html If this keeps up--Willis will threaten the records of the following subjects for numbers of threads: 1) Flutie/Johnson 2) Mike Sherman is our coach 3) I hate JP 4) I love JP 5) Drew is great 6) Drew Sucks 7) Marv Levy is old 8) Dick Jauron is boring 9) TD is great 10) TD sucks 11) Mularkey is great 12) Mularkey sucks 13) Fire Greggo-- 14) George Siefert is at the airport and many many others ---------------
  10. Killdrive is a Coach Killer -- that is correct...
  11. But we can start laying odds on when Coughlin tries to punch him out...
  12. Too funny...Whisenhut could also be Bill Cowher's little brother..
  13. Damn this is catchy--I just soiled myself...ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh
  14. You know it my four legged friend...you know Connie is green with envy when he produces excellence like this.. Hey baby--want a pickle
  15. 5' 7" - 160 currently with a strained achillies.. Coach Jauron's yes man.... I would not want to be Roscoe--I saw him get killed 3 times by Ed Reed in the Ravens game--he held on to the ball all three times--he's a tough little mother. Much tougher than me.
  16. In a game where the violence ends careers regularly, where free agency changes addresses frequently, where lockerroom chemistry is tenous at best and often turns on dime and the utlimate team sport where squads working together is more important than a set of individual perfomers - the Pats have had 6 years of sustained greatness--not just a good team -- but consistently at the top of the league. If the media wants to give them a blow job -- its probably pretty well deserved. If the Bills had won 1 or 2 of the Bowls during the early 90's I would have expected the same kind of treatment from the media. If it bothers you--go ahead and post--but don't expect everyone to agree with your take on the "media bias toward the Pats". You just !@#$ing knew they were going to find a way to win yesterday...even when Heaven's QB threw the interception God intervened in the form of Troy Brown and made it okay--from there it was all she wrote--the Chargers might has well have just forfeited at that moment and Marty should have begun updating his resume...mother !@#$ers...It pisses me off they are so good. One side story: I watched a few games this year with the San Jose Bills Backers--MarkVaderr50, Wacka and crew...all great folks. The second game against the Pats it was a mixed crowd at the Britannia Arms in Cupertino..one Pats fan was yelling at Brady the whole game (Mostly Obscenities) and actually said he wanted Bledsoe back--this in a game where they were just kicking our butts....It taught me that every team has irrational fans...
  17. If NO wins its a Tedi Bruschi executed miracle..he will put himself in the game as the opposition just to insure that the miracle occurs and then he will be tearful in the post game press conference saying something like-- "If we had to lose, it was my will that we lose to the Saints."
  18. I wouldn't want to have to make this decision if it comes to this, but I don't think a trade scenario will ever be realistic. For us to get a first day pick for Willis--the new team has to agree to an extension with Rosenhaus..then I think a lower half second or upper half third is possible. The new team will be basically trading for 4 or 5 years more of play that could all be crushed on one play with a guy who has had a serious injury to both knees. I just don't think this this is realistic... I have a feeling we will keep #21--he will have a good/great year--we will let him go next year for nothing and then he will be somebody else's....With all the parternity issues -- I hope he does well in FA for the sake of all his kids and their mothers..
  19. I think we are going to do both--use a first day draft pick on a DT and sign one in FA. I think the prices will be friendly for the FA DT's and that we see this as enough of a need to use a first day pick -- maybe a number 1 depending on the other factors (other needs caused by FA, etc.). If you think about what we have as a 5 man rotation right now-- Triplett, Williams, McCargo, Anderson and Jefferson--Anderson and Jefferson are upgradeable and you would sure like a vet in one of those roles...
  20. The Colts are a good model. They built around Tarik Glenn (1st round 1997) and Jeff Saturday (a free agent in 1999) and added Ryan Diem to that core (4th round 2001) The guard positions have been interchangeable parts -- letting guys lke DeMulling go and developing guys like Scott and Lilja..(By the way--Demulling hasn't been a full-time starter in Detroit--played in 14 games the last two years and started only 5 the first year and 7 this year--) I think the Bills are on the right path with the OL..you need a strong T and one strong interior Lineman to build around--the Colts chose LT and C -- last night on the final drive the Colts ran to the left about 80% of the time (behind Glenn, with Saturday and Lilja doubling the DT)...we have Peters--what a fantastic find as a FA and now locked up smartly at a reasonable price for the next 5 years and now can spend on a great G without blowing the cap for this position. I think the line will be a strength next year with both depth and quality starters by re-signing Gandy and ponying up for a good larger G who is strong in the run and can handle the bull rush...There are 4 targets--Steinbach (little more finesse than I would like); Davis; Dockery and Dielman...We have been trying to get a gaurd the last two years and spent bucks on Anderson and Reyes---neither worked--lets spend some real cash on a proven commodity instead of the after Christmas aisle at Wal-Mart. Combining what we spent on Anderson and Reyes -- would probably net us Davis...for example...
  21. 3 pt lead, 3 minutes left, 2nd and 7 with McAlister running on the Eagles well and you pitch the ball in the backfield instead of just handing it off--you would have been spitting on Jauron if he did that and the opponent ended up with the ball..
  22. No wonder we didn't see much of Holcomb this year--he was freakin' moonlighting. Bastard...
  23. Condolences to Herman, Eddie, Grandpa and Marilyn and to Senator John Kerry on the loss of his TV wife....
  24. I don't have a problem with a guy who plays with 3 broken ribs -- why trade him when he is going to bust his ass in a contract year...makes no sense unless we are offered something of much greater perceived value than Willis is to the Bills. A second or third round pick is not a greater value in my mind.. I think Toronto is a nice city too. I stop short of wanting the Bills to move there however....
  25. Who said George Washington was the father of our country.... Hmmmmmm--I guess a hold out is not a realistic scenario....maybe the Bills could offer to fund a vasectomy...
