  1. I may have to send him the 40 year old fruit cake I have been saving if he does
  2. I hope for only successes. A decisive Bills win. Also, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas or a great December 25th if you fall outside the Christmas belief circle. We got NFL coal under the tree this year...but who knows about 09. Lori--thanks for all the work you do to make sure we get the facts. Where the board takes the facts is always interesting but at least we have the facts...
  3. That figure would be our team lead...
  4. Bruised contract is what I heard. Guess they couldn't get him enough 0's this week. He also had a side of "Elvis may make me look baditis." Seriously--he did twist a knee last week...must have not recovered.
  5. Its too bad the Bills aren't in the Mid American Conference. I bet we would clean up there.
  6. They did not IR him this week. Who knows why.....premature IR is restricted to Angelo Crowell.
  7. Buffalo Bills 33-Jabari Greer 58-Teddy Lehman 71-Jason Peters 77-Demetrius Bell 81-James Hardy 79-Jonathan Scott 87-Jonathan Stupar 7-J.P. Losman - 3rd QB Denver Broncos 16-Chad Jackson 20-Marlon McCree 26-Jack Williams 38-Andrew Pinnock 46-Spencer Larsen 53-Niko Koutouvides 72-Pat Murray 96-Tim Crowder Just kidding about the Peters thing.....I am sure he is not game ready and unfortunately the game is something even less than meaningless.
  8. A deserving Buffalo Football Coach gets an extension....
  9. This is truly a great and insightful revelation. The owner is upset because we played the sorriest games of the year 2 of the last 3 weeks and lost to inferior teams at home. Knock me over with a !@#$ing feather. If he isn't upset he is dead...
  10. 4 of the F's will be there...mixing in a Saturday of shopping in mid-town including a stop at American Girl Doll Place with my favorite 9 year old Bills fan..
  11. The Miami Palins....
  12. Need a Warner turnover
  13. On the contrary, I can think of a million story lines related to Nordberg being in jail....wow...endless possibilities..
  14. Prison seems like a better place than the outside to find the real killers.
  15. I am in FL for the weekend and saw the game..On D--the Pats played pretty soft and Miami gashed them with both the run and the pass. The Phins kept them off balance with things like putting Ronnie Brown in at direct snap QB and running out if it the first three times and then passing for a TD the last time. Chad had a lot of short middle and out routes to hit and he was deadly. Anthony Fasano is really good at TE. The Pats couldn't cover him. On D--the Phins where just hugely aggressive with the rush and looked really quick. Lots of sacks, a few turnovers... It was never close...total domination.
  16. Thanks for the thoughts HD. I think I will still wait until we go head to head to pronounce anything for the year...It looks promising though--this is the most positive energy in 9 years and it feels really good.. Miami was amazing today. Both Williams and Brown were possessed and as you pointed out the D scheme was soft and played right to Chad Pennington's strength. I was really surprised at the scheme.
  17. Agree with all this my friend. We simply made plays on the interior on both sides of the ball and from our skill positions on both sides of the ball to win. It was a refreshing change.... 1) McGee INT 2) Youboty two open field one on one tackles 3) Evans route and catch and Edwards read 4) Hardy awesome TD and Edwards awesome thow 5) Williams and Stroud rush -- Williams Sack 6) Fred Jackson great run after catch a couple of times... The only thing slightly maddening is this inherent inability to convert consistently on 3rd and short with a run...grrrr I am not willing to call this team transformed...but they are winning me over--and not just with heart and guts like last year..this year with actual playmaking
  18. No--purely orgasmic....actually...
  19. I admire your restraint BillsPride12....Being hammered never stops most people from posting. It actually encourages some.. Langston is a cerebral lineman who can also pancake you when he has to...a great find... Dockery deserves some props as well--he has been impressive in the run game and not even dented in the pass...The Marshawn TD was sprung by Dock just road grading his man..
  20. Have you ever imagined either one of them with their mouth closed for more than say...5 milliseconds.....
  21. I hope he is...it will add to the legend.... Opposing RB: Hey Poz--too bad about the fine... Poz: I guess $5K is small price to pay for hearing screams of pain as I twisted off MJD's head... Poz's new nickname: Twist-off
  22. He's like The Dean...pure teflon....Never convicted.
  23. In the ESPN the Magazine pro football kickoff issue, Merrill picked a Seahawks/Jags Super Bowl.....We win -- hand us the Lombardi. Seriously, many of us have been here for a long time...since the dawn of the Internet basically around our last trip to the game. I have seen too many loses come from Games like today. This team is different...there's talent, heart, will and resolve. I think the horrible year last year with the Everett tragedy (now recovery); all the injuries on D...built some resolve that cannot be denied. We need to keep it going. Ralph -- open up the checkbook one last time--keep Evans here, extend Peters and if this season continues to play out (a big Caveat) make sure #5 never leaves....
  24. From Chris Brown on Friday: WINDOW TO BRING CROWELL BACK CLOSED: After seeing the Saints reach an injury settlement with injured DT Hollis Thomas thereby making him a free agent and taking him off their injured reserve list, several Bills fans have asked me via e-mail if the Bills could have done this with Angelo Crowell. The answer is the Bills could have done it up until yesterday, but the five day window to do it closed at that time. However, it’s not as clear cut as it might seem. Yes, it would make Crowell an instant free agent enabling him to sign with any NFL team including the Bills when he was healthy again. The language of the injury settlement however, is the key. A player can return to the team only after the number of weeks specified in the injury settlement plus an additional six weeks. For example, if the settlement Hollis Thomas signed was for 5 weeks he would not be able to return to the Saints until the week 12 game due to the additional six week stipulation. I believe the unpredictable nature of Crowell’s injury and rehab post-surgery likely removed any benefit for the Bills of taking such action, while also exposing him to 31 other teams prior to the free agency period in March.
