Hi Tim, Are you going to be doing mini-camp updates from OBD next week? If so, other than avoiding the VH1 cameras, what will you be watching closely and do you have any features planned? Also--hypothetical -- if The Dean's posts are a 9, what would you rate Skooby's posts? ;-)

I am not your editor. This is not Skoobypedia. Check facts before you post and then post facts....

Wonder if the 22 year old had to take a field sobriety test? If the operator blows over the limit but the horse is under..is it still a DUI?

OTA time -- possibly mini-camp time but not training camp time. You cut off the part of the article that mentions Oregon is on the same schedule as Ohio State. Wake Up MENSA!!!!

Good-bye Lombardi Trophy.....damn......

Exactly. The last time I spoke with Terry was probably four years ago. Funny story. One of my work study jobs was to help Coach Schaly and Paul Spear (our lead trainer) with fitness training for the team in January and February before baseball season. I would help the training staff put the team through their weight and aerobic training. I almost killed Terry one day. Marietta is very hilly and we would do repeats on the hill up to Marietta Memorial hospital. One day on about the 3rd time up the hill -- I stayed back to push the laggards and I look at Terry about halfway up the hill and he's white as a ghost. I grab him, sit him down, tell him to stay--grab a wheel chair and push him 150 yards or so to the emergency room. Terry never had to run hills again. I was relentless in teasing him -- gave him an academy award at the post season banquet. He had a decent career--the no hitter, lots of stops along the way. Wonderful and humble guy.

We just made the D-III regionals again. We didn't win the conference tourney but snuck in by making the final game and having a tough schedule with a few clutch wins. The rest of the conference is catching up to us. We won two D-III series when I was in school (1981 and 1983). I grew up with the Schaly's -- Don Schaly was a great coach who built the program from scratch and died within two years of retiring. He was like a second dad to all of us who played any sport at MC. He was the classic curmudgeon with a huge heart, but I digress. The Mount is amazing in football -- but BW and Wittenberg were dominant when I was there. I knew you had great roots--an OAC man!

BF'89--you really think we need another DE? Denney can flip, Spencer Johnson can play both, Ellis and Maybin all can back up Schobel.... I agree on the DT by the way--but I am willing to give McCargo a chance with new Coaching and attention from Bob Sanders.

Tim, I didn't realize until this moment that I have to hate you...you B-W Yellowjacket....I remember getting my ass kicked on astroturf at BW as a young undergrad (it was one of those games where the scoreboard resembled a slot machine--I think it ended like 62-0--your kicker's leg got tired of kicking extra points)... JoeF Marietta '83 Losers of 17 in a row while JoeF played PS. I forgive you....those OAC schools are centers of academic and division III athletic excellence.

Sutherland turned down 2% of the gross on that movie for 1 day of pay. Calls it one of his biggest regrets in acting. -

Wonder if Chris Watson is still kicking around somewhere? Wade thought highly of him as a punt catcher if I recall.... What Wade really needs is Ronnie Jones back as ST coach....He is a high school defensive coordinator in Arlington, TX now. Come on Wade--make the call. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ronnie_Jones -
I was actually thinking the same thing this week. I see another RB with one of those 9 picks as well-- maybe one of the first 4. RB is a low shelf life position. Most crap out after 5-6 years and the way Lynch runs I can see him on that scale.....so both from a behavior and a practical standpoint....hmmmmmmm Get your salt shaker and lime ready Buffalo

Some Realities About The Peters Trade That Some Won't Accept
JoeF replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is what it is. We are where we are...flying rabbit...we must move on. We may never know the inside scoop, but I think we do know that even last year the agent and player would not engage in regular communication with the team. Did they feel they had been dissed in some way? Did they just decide that Jason wanted out of Buffalo? The team developed a player from scratch...paid him well once..he became at the very least top half of the league at his position..and then sold him to the highest bidder whose experienced coach says he is the best in the game. The good: - We got three draft picks five years after acquiring the guy as an UDFA--including a first rounder - We get rid of a "me" attitude - his comment about the pro bowl being his goal and his non-communicative style the last two years cannot be popular among his teammates The bad: - We suck in the trenches once again on offense. Trent was seen at Body Armor R Us yesterday in Los Gatos. No team wins when they suck in the trenches on Offense. The season doesn't start tomorrow--but the o-line requires continuity and time to form a cohesive unit..we didn't have it last year cause of Peters' hold out. Hopefully we will have a starting OL from the first OTA and it will develop through the summer. Coach Kugler and Coach Brown have a lot of work to do. -
Glazer's article says its a second day pick. Remember the 3rd round is a second day round now. I would hope it would be a top 100 pick.

JoeF Marietta College (Marietta, OH) Age 48 Punt Catcher Height: 5'7" Weight 160lbs 40: Stopwatch ceased working Bench: Yes Vertical Leap: Shoes glued to ground Cone/Shuttle: Likes ice cream cones and has no desire to travel in the space shuttle PROS: Talks his way out of speeding tickets with regular frequency. Nice smile. Easy to maintain--due to baldness. Funny laugh. Loves his kids. Never been tasered. Will work for training table. Shows some leadership ability. Reliable. CONS: Often irritable. Described as an SOB sometimes. A little low character at times. Possible underachiever. The kind of guy who may shirk it a bit after a pay day. SUMMARY: Non-descript. Shows some proclivity to loyalty. Nothing special but always shows up. PROJECTION: Perfect candidate for Mr. Irrelevant but with his luck the Bills draft him with a 7th rounder acquired in the Tim Graham-Chris Brown trade.
