possible coaches that could be available after the season
JoeF replied to trolls_r_us's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Eric Mangini -
Interesting tidbit...If Vic is right--Coach Jauron's extension was not a 3 year extension of the original 3 year deal but only included 2 new years -- 2009 and 2010. Ralph "only" owes him through the end of 2010 not to 2011. They must have ripped up the original deal when they negotiated the extension last year and the new $3.5M a year deal was for 2008, 2009, 2010.

Me too Rico...but his stock will be down because he just got canned and Shanahan, Holmgren and Cowher all are the beauty pageant winners because they have been out for a year or more (Cowher). -

Simple-its ego-certain personalities like to take the ultimate turnaround jobs...There is huge satisfaction in taking on something that is wretched and making it good or great. The only thing you want is complete control when you do it. The Browns and the Bills will be fighting for the best coach who wants a turnaround job..no one who wants complete control will go to Oakland or Washington (why do you think Snyder ended up with Zorn in the first place) and Dallas is not a great destination but Jerry will lie to someone and probably attract them.. Let's predict the openings and the potential fillers - Oakland- Charlie Weis - Carolina - Bill Cowher (See him once a week at our local Starbucks--he's ready to come back but loves NC) - Buffalo- Jeff Fisher - Washington - Jim Fassel - Cleveland - Mike Holmgren - Tennessee - Gregg Williams - Dallas- Mike Shanahan Holmgren, Shanahan and Cowher will all be back -- Oakland is not a factor in the sane world....so you have 3 plus Fisher now in the mix... -
Redskins vs. Bills - 2007 Game right after Sean Taylor's death. The first play -- 22 yard run by Fred Jackson.

Something bad happened today :(

I had to run a basketball practice for my 10 year old daughter's team. Had to leave at 1:30 and did not get home until 3:30. Normally would have driven me batty--I did not even check the score -- even though it would have been easy to. During the water breaks from practice, I threw the football with the other coach's son--who is one of the better sophomore high school football players in our area. He is a 6'1" wide receiver with great hands and speed. My 49 year old arm still has a little life -- it was fun. The older I get I realize that being a fan is supposed to bring joy. When it doesn't -- its a chore -- I have enough chores already in my life -- don't need any more. Buffalo Bills....I had a great day without you. When things change -- and it brings joy to be a fan -- I'll be back, but until then--sorry--I have more joyful things to do. -

Is Dick Jauron, Dick LeBeau or Dick MacPherson the fantasy coach of my 3 Johnsons? I just realized--NFL head coaches named Dick have curious success records.... -
MIKE VICK IN BUFFALO.....WHAT???? No, not right now
JoeF replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Philster--we get it. You don't like Vick for the horrible crimes he committed. A lot of folks agree with you. Posting it after every post supporting Vick doesn't clarify the opinion it makes you look like a zealot. Don't resort to this -- you are too good a guy from every other post I have read. BTW, I credit you for always brightening our world with the lovely Jills...they have a great booster in you! -

...and drop more passes...and seem disinterested on plays where he is not the lead option...and get caught from behind on a reverse like he did in Carolina--not getting a first down on 3rd and 2 when he had the corner. Wow that's a great reason to sign him... I see both sides of the argument on this one --- he is a convicted felon who committed heinous almost unimaginable crimes -- he also paid his debt to society and has done and said the right things in Philly this year. Even PETA has backed off.... I think more people would welcome him than chide him -- -
Oh my God stop the presses--our problems are now clearly identified thanks to Mucho Dropo's agent. What tremendous insight, what wonderful analysis. Dick Jauron Sucks, The QBs Suck and the O-line sucks. One more newsflash blowhard -- if your client could catch he would have at least 2 more TD's and about 200 more yards and be on his way to serviceable year and the Bills might have another win. Shut up Drew. Outside criticism not needed -- we do plenty of it on our own.

I think I wrote that I like Marc ROSS not Russ Brandon....but thanks for the Emily Litella routine...

Friday has joined Sunday as the Bills days of rest.. -
Browns owner Randy Lerner was pretty upset post-game yesterday. Today rumors are flying from Jay Glazer and others that the GM of the Browns (who was hand-picked by and reported to Mangini) was escorted out of the building. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/1031136...ut-of-Cleveland One !@#$ing question--How in the hell did we lose to the Browns...

These guys practice well, you know. They prepare hard. They are dedicated to their craft. They are all effort guys. -

Question: Season ticket holders, are you going to renew next year?
JoeF replied to damj's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yep. View it as an investment in the community and an economy that sorely needs the team. I know it should be about the product but its not to me. We give most of the tickets to charity so it becomes mostly tax deductible. I love the team and the city. Personally, I stick with it through good times and bad. I just wish this version of the Bills (Coaches and Players) realized how much the city lives and dies by what they do and at times like this, when the team is so bad, its a drain on the mood and outlook of the town. It helps a bit that the Sabres have started well - but make no mistake about it--the town lives and dies with the Bills. The current braintrust seems to lack an appreciation of this. Its sad -- but I just can't abandon them.... -
You are I am sure referring to the fact that Gilroy is home to the world's largest garlic festival. Garcia has been gone long enough that the garlic smell has receded. Lets think about Garcia for a moment: - Hot wife -- check - TO hates him so it would piss off the receiver I have now dubbed as Ocho dropo -- check - Will remind us all of Doug Flutie -- check What the !@#$ is there not to like--sign little Jeffy..
