Bills need some FAs to get serious
JoeF replied to Cal Bill's Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That would be a panic move...Ralph never panics... -
First player of Chinese descent drafted into the NFL. Mom and Dad were both members of the Chinese Olympic Team. The kid is very nimble and adds to the mix at T. Definitely a LT prospect. Can protect the blind side and can run block well.

Dean--I read this before I went to Dinner at my favorite grandma and grandpa's home made pasta and sauce restaurant tonight. I raised a man's martini to your dad before dinner and a grappa post meal...you and family are in my thoughts and prayers. Here is to the life of service to country and family your dad lived. May he rest in peace and bring many warm memories and smiles to your face. God bless.. -

So this upcoming year will be McKelvins 3rd year
JoeF replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He played well the last half of his rookie year. We would have seen another great step up with whole season last year. He did not have a knee but a lower leg fracture. I saw him at the Falcons game (he was in the same row). That day we could have used him as we were getting torched. He said he was recovering well and would be ready. That was the sum total of our conversation--me not wanting to be a 50 year old jock sniffer. I think he's a player and the thing that impressed me the most is that his teammates pregame (Poz, Wilson, Byrd, Florence, Whitner, McGee, Stroud, Kelsay, Maybin) all were excited to see him walking without a limp. He is a talent with breakaway speed -- that won't be impacted by the fracture. I think you will see another leap forward. We are so deep in the secondary. Whitner is as a good as gone--and I wouldn't be shocked to see another corner go with him in a trade. McKelvin however I believe will blossom as both a returner and corner this year. Look at the 2008 KC game and the Chicago Preseason game last year...he has the speed, cover skills to be a shut down. -
Is Anybody Getting Season Tickets This Year?
JoeF replied to box0life's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I renewed. We come for maybe 2-3 games and give the rest to Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Erie County. Bills ticket office put me in touch with the director of development at at BB/BS and they are really glad to receive them. So you can accomplish both -- support the team and support charity. BB/BS is always looking for tickets to events. The folks at BB/BS are world class folks--they send my children a personal note every year and goody bag full of stuff. -
Maybe we can get Lee Majors to play RG...him tossing Wilfork around like a rag doll would be fun to watch.

Bryan Scott Re-Signed Bryan Scott back Veteran safety Bryan Scott was due to hit unrestricted free agency on Friday, but instead he re-signed with the Bills. Scott agreed to terms on a two-year contract with Buffalo. Scott started the first three games of the season at strong safety, missed five games with an ankle injury, then started the next six games at weak-side linebacker, due to the Bills' rash of injuries at that position. Jairus Byrd is the Bills' starting free safety. The Bills now have three players in the fold who have started at strong safety - Donte Whitner, George Wilson and Scott. ---Mark Gaughan

http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-3...f5-02bf9e005a28 This will be my favorite off-season signing. He and Lonnie Harvey were buds in Panthers camp last summer... The Bills made their first free agent signing a few days prior to when most NFL contracts expire, as the club reached an agreement with defensive tackle Marlon Favorite. Favorite (6’1” 317) was an undrafted rookie free agent last year that was signed by the Carolina Panthers. He did not make their opening day roster, but spent time on the St. Louis, Kansas City, Seattle and New Orleans practice squads in 2009. The LSU product appeared in 40 games for the Tigers, making 17 starts. Favorite was a member of LSU’s 2007 National Championship team where he played both nose tackle and the three-technique tackle position in the Tigers 4-3 system.

Did you spend too much time institutionalized? Is that why you are doing the whole last name first shtick? I was trying to figure out who the !@#$ Gerald was.....my own idiocy got in the way. As for the Avatar--I didn't realize you were such a big Aretha Franklin fan...

You read Florio religiously--this is his MO. No-one or nothing is sacred...Read some of the stuff about Vince Young and others he has targeted. Also, you can bet Saban will use this on the recruiting road. BTW, Florio loves Saban because he is a native West Virginian just like Florio. West Virginia guys always get cut slack.... As for Tebow--a different angle is to applaud him for being proactive about making the change. He is basically saying -- if you want a pro quarterback -- I have the talent in 8 - 10 weeks to become that pro quarterback. He has nothing to lose by doing this--right now he has fallen completely off a lot of draft boards--if he shows promise he gets back on some--if he is very successful his attitude and will make him zoom up to round 2 or 3..

Do you think Thurman would have taken the GM job if it was offered to him? Do you think Jim would have taken the title as president of the Bills? I think both would have taken these roles if offered. If Ralph is so tied to them why waste money on Nix -- just move Jim and Thurman into these roles if you are going to listen to them anyway. In fact just sell the team to Jim. Ralph now listens to Buddy and Chan. Jim loves Tebow for the intangibles -- that is what the interview to which you refer states. He was probably as shocked as anyone when he saw at the Sr. Bowl that Tebow can't handle a center snap and can't hit the broad side of a barn...
