  1. No one reacted? Oh come on, that was funny, I don't care who you are. Lighten up people!
  2. This guy from the Chargers board is a complete moron and should stop watching football. "Kyle Williams would take our defense to an elite level. I like our offense over their offense at all of the skill positions. Im not sure who is even on their O-line. I like our defense from a pass rush and secondary standpoint. I think they only have us beat on the D-line."
  3. Haha, very colorful! Nicely done!
  4. Gates has been pedestrian for the last couple years. He has a great game and the national pundits and Chargers fans think he's 24 again and going to return to his pre 2010 form. Am I missing something here? I say he regresses back to pedestrian.
  5. Not funny!
  6. Haha, I knew there would be some smart alecky remark to that. Clear as mud, I know. That's why I edited it, but it probably makes no sense still. It's too long ago for me to remember. Been a long day, but it was likely because you were suggesting things that most people were saying that I did not agree with or that I thought you were speaking directly to my statement. Either way, I wasn't attacking you, just having a conversation with people in this thread. Or the voices in my head. I think I'm going nuts, I need more sleep.
  7. The question you had asked in your response to my response was answered in my origional response. I don't get what you're not understanding.
  8. Oh I see, "NO respect for Brady". For a moment there, I thought I saw "New respect for Brady" as the thread title. Whew!
  9. Agreed, he's just trying to deflect
  10. The problem is, he appears to give EJ no credit ever! He is not objective about it, he thought EJ sucked from the beginning and wants to be proven right so bad, he won't relinquish anything. EJ has done what he needs to do so far, and has done a good job doing it. How about a little objectivity and thereby, praise for some of the things he did.
  11. I believe the correct nomenclature is "twits"
  12. Cant see it at work, but could it be that there was a high safety not in the picture that he was about to run behind?
  13. Love the All 22 review...Hackett's game planning is coming around!
  14. There are certainly good things that come with bad too. I recognize what's in bold, it can help to change things that are absolutely morally wrong.
  15. Hmmm weird, I've lived in Raleigh for the last 4 years and never heard this.
  16. Yes, the AP situation is a little different, he admitted to doing what he did and the pictures substantiate it (which he has not denied either), so I think his case is open and shut. Just the little grey area of what constitutes child abuse and what doesnt. To me, open abbrasions on his skin in multiple places IS child abuse. What does the system think?
  17. No, I dont have AP in any of my FF leagues, I tend to stay away from aging RBs, though he continues to prove me wrong when he plays. See above for the real issue here. You commit a felony and are proven guilty (Greg Hardy) then by all means, you need to be fired and never play again. I agree with that. I also agree that the NFL did what it had to do. The problem it all boils down to is the court of public opinion. It's a dangerous road to do what the court of public opinion wants you to do. That leads to what we have now, guilty until proven innocent. A post above I said this: "I'm saying theres an intrinsic problem with the court of public opinion swaying things so much. Often times, people react on feelings and don't have the facts in hand. Their views are skewed, and they want to roast and skewer the person who is "wrong" in their opinion without any intelligent thought to it. This is a problem."
  18. This is why he should not be in a uniform.
  19. Lol, I believe that people are a slave to their upbringing but that does not exhonorate them from all punishment. At the very least, if found guilty, he should be suspended for some length of time, and told to take some classes on the subject. I'm a proponent of corporal punishment, but it has to be reasonable. Can't do what AP did. I think we're arguing about two different things. I'm saying theres an intrinsic problem with the court of public opinion swaying things so much. Often times, people react on feelings and don't have the facts in hand. Their views are skewed, and they want to roast and skewer the person who is "wrong" in their opinion without any intelligent thought to it. This is a problem. If I've gone off on a tangent otherwise, I apologize, but that's the underlying problem here.
  20. Wow you took that in a different direction. I believe calling me a name like that is against the COC? That's not the point I was making at all, you're assuming the poster that I was responding to was a CEO? I'm assuming he was just another run of the mill employee, an assumption yes, but that how I took it. Now, a normal employee, underling, etc is not going to get front page news. They are going to get their due process. Again, I don't condone anything any of these people have done, I simply think everyone should have their due process just like it was meant to be. Innocent until proven guilty. The comment of there being many people who are under these despicable conditions of child abuse and domestic abuse was merely to point out that they are not on the front page. By no means do I say its right, I'm trying to make the point that they are NOT on the front page and so they would likely not get judged in the court of public opinion and would get their day in court. Exactly This is precisely the problem, "The court of public opinion" which is backwards and messed up. We're in a NOW NOW NOW generation, and its causing the right of due process to disappear. You're instantly judged w/o facts, that's a sad state of affairs.
