  1. And better coaching too right? Why don't they win more often?
  2. If you want it, you have "hope". The Titans lost their first SIX game last year, the sixth by a score of 59-0. I'm sure many of their fans were more despondent than ours. Then, they won their next five straight and seven of their next eight. But you know the crazy part? They did it by putting in a QB that many (most?) here had COMPLETELY written off as worthless and, gasp!, suicidal! That's right. The Titans started their bats#it crazy, depressed, suicidal QB and went on a winning streak. Now, I'm not saying the Bills will do that. I really doubt they will have that dramatic of a turn around. But I can see them making improvements (not hard to believe with a new staff, new D, young OL) as the year goes on. And I'm hoping the QB change helps move things along. I'd really like to see Brohm step in after a few weeks to see if he's got the goods to be a starting NFL QB. Of course, if the Bills are winning and the offense is running well with Fitz, I'd be perfectly happy too.
  3. I'm not sure what an optimist would tell you. I think a realist would tell you the regular season is 16 games long, and only a moron would post "I told you so" after the second week.
  4. "undisclosed injury" http://www.google.com/hostednews/canadianpress/article/ALeqM5iLmoX1dFDSM9Y2AM6dvhfBajitaQ Well the Saints came back, but I hardly think the 9ers blew this one. And they looked FAR FAR better than the Bills have to date.
  5. I'm sure they would love to have someone above Leftwich (and possibly Batch). But all this is moot. Albany has already said Brown can never be an NFL QB in any capacity, as he was cut from the Bills. Chan has declared him to never have NFL potential.
  6. Well, you may have a window into the future. Right now, SF has tied the game with 1:19 left in regulation. Maybe they do everything they can to blow it from here on? BTW, how about the play of Alex Smith? How many here wrote his NFL obit several times over?
  7. Slow day in a one lawnmower town. And, Chef, you ain't the only one curious about the Oyster Shack's clientele.

  9. It's like a "maroon" but a little bit redder. For the record, the Bills had several losing streaks of three (and at least one of four) under Jauron. But by all means, everyone PANIC!!!!!!!
  10. I would be devastated and I would not root for whatever team the Bills became. But I'm a football fan and I like a few teams. I'd continue to root for the Steelers (they'd probably become #1) and find a few other teams to like. The Packers, a team I despised as a youth, might become a team I root for. I like the small market thing, great fans, cold weather, etc.
  11. Great stuff. But I don't quite understand the first pic.
  12. If Bell continues to improve, the Bills actually have the makings of a good young offensive line. They clearly need a better RT (or LT and move Bell) and depth at all the positions. An upgrade at Center would be nice, of course, but Hang is serviceable. Obviously the line needs work, but that doesn't mean they all suck (as some would have you believe).
  13. Indeed. Did anyone notice a few completions against McKelvin (for one)? He had GREAT coverage on a few. Still, the passes were complete. Why? Because the ball was thrown where it had to be thrown and the WR made the play. Some seem to think a WR has to look like he's running by himself through an open pasture to be open. That's nonsense. For the record, I have WAY more confidence in the Bills WRs making the catch than I do Trent making the good throw (or even letting it go). EDIT: Alex Smith just completed a pass into good coverage. You complete 0% of the passes you don't throw.
  14. I'm not Chef. Seriously, did you think that was good? Really? I like some of JJ's stuff, but that was pretty much pap, IMO. And the video was terrible. I expected something a bit funnier, even from Samberg, who does little for me.
  15. This single statement demonstrates the lack of sense of your entire argument. I'd bet Chan made no such determination when cutting Brown.
  16. Just a poster making stuff up and trying to present it as fact. I'd take Vince Young. But he is still the starter in Tenn.
  17. I heard there was a "brain drain" from Buffalo. You know, the intelligent people fleeing the area, leaving the stupid behind. Well, I never really believed that before. But you provide some strong evidence it might indeed be true.
  18. That was sensationally unfunny. And it wasn't Johnson's best work, either.
  19. The most underrated legume, IMO, is the snow pea.
  20. Did you post that before or after my PM? If before, outstanding!
  21. How about this one? "Go f#*k yourself, newbie." Take your blah blah blah and put it you know where.
  22. BeerSphere, I think you may owe him one of these.
  23. For what it's worth, the Bills did make an attempt to get McNabb, from what I have been told. They also were trying to get Gaither, but were scared away. None of us know what else they may have tried to do. As for Vick. No thanks.
