  1. It might be a good album, if Elton has very little to do with it, other than play the piano and perhaps sing, one or two songs. But I fear his messy tasteless sellout fingerprints will be all over it. Elton and Bernie made a few great albums, but then Elton went and developed a severe case of badtasteitis. The song that's out now, Leon's "If it Wasn't for Bad", might have had a chance to be good without EJ's influence. Now it sounds like an empty shell of a song, it's soul sucked out from the association with "little Liberace". And, "Yes", Pooj, I know that was rough. But listen to Tumbleweed Connection and then, immediately afterward listen to any of his recent output (try on "Something About The Way You Look Tonight" for size) and tell me you think these are created two different artists.
  2. Hmmm? Dunno what to tell you. I went to atdhe and clicked on the new link and get the same color bars I had before. Anyway, there is already a StreamTorrent link to the game posted here: http://www.myp2pforum.eu/threads/44842-Streaming-2010-NFL-Week-1 And Stooge usually puts the links in the chat room right around kickoff time. Anyway, I'm just about out of here. Good luck with the streams.
  3. THE team leader? Probably not. A team leader? Probably
  4. I'd be a bit wary, then. I don't get the XviD notice, and Avira is quiet on my end. Let me try something and get right back. Try installing that codec from here: http://www.xvid.org/Downloads.15.0.html I just installed it with no problem and no Avira warning.
  5. I'm not getting that requirement, when I click the link. Maybe I already have it. That should be a safe codec, BTW.
  6. Yikes! Hope everything is OK. Well, at least you'll get to watch the game.
  7. SDS doesn't rely on me for anything, to my knowledge. Posting links is not a copyright violation. Sopcast is just another of these Internet TV operations. They use their own proprietary player. A while back it was in use a lot for these games. It is used more rarely now. Some players I'd have installed, if I were going to rely on the Internet streams for Bills games are: Windows Media Player Flash Quicktime StreamTorrent TVAnts Sopcast Veetle Maybe, V-Share This way, if you get a link to a stream, and it relies on one of these players, you are ready to start streaming right away. The P2P thread I linked to, supplies links once they confirm they are real and operating. Typically that site links to streams that require StreamTorrent or TVAnts. The Atdhe links sometimes have required Veetle or V-Share. You really never know what the stream will need until you link to it. Now, I advise against keeping too much junk on your computer, but if you are relying on the stream for the game, these are things you may very well need. Just keep in mind when installing these players (or any software), uncheck any options that include a toolbar, or other software that appears to be in addition to the player you are installing. Also, be wary of any claims that you need to install a special codec to view the game. Fake codec installs are a leading distribution method of computer infections. This can usually happen when you are scrambling to install something and will say yes to anything to watch the game. That's why I advise to have them installed well before kickoff...just in case.
  8. I agree re: the league. My point is, with atdhe, if posting the main link is OK and we can find the game from there, how does posting the exact link make enforcement any easier? The atdhe links are fairly well known. Yes, I understand. I think if SDS had an issue with this, he would have said something by now. He isn't shy. All of the links are subject to being shut down. That just comes with the territory. I just can't see how sharing a static link, on a site that does this every week, can really do much to make that happen any sooner. The NFL already knows where this site is.
  9. Again, not really, in this case.
  10. What does Stooge have to do with this discussion of atdhe? When Stooge was at it's best it used MMS links, that were only active for about 30 seconds. That was sweet. What wasn't sweet is them closing down three times a year. Atdhe has static links which it has already announced.
  11. OK, I'm going from memory here and some of the info might be old. Justin is a hosting site, like youtube. The content goes through the Justin TV servers. At one time you could find the feeds on Justin, but lately that seems to be next to impossible. All the links that claim to have the game are dead, and really just advertising sites. You might be able to hang in the chat sections of one of the feeds and hope to get a link that is live...or leads you to a live link. But that treasure hunt is way too frustrating for me. Atdhe is a linking site that supplies links to the streams. I don't believe the video is on the Atdhe servers, which are located in Sweden, I believe. Swedish law is a bit more forgiving of these links, I believe...at least it was. V-share is a youtube clone. And they have a plugin (and toolbar we learned recently) video application. Dunno how much that helps you. But they are three different sites that do similar things in different ways.
  12. You can't find the game at Justin w/o having a private link, for the most part. Posting the main page of Justin is close to useless to someone looking for a feed. But is it the same with atdhe? If so, again, posting the main page doesn't do anyone any good. If it is easy to navigate, then the NFL and their attorneys can navigate it just fine, and posting the direct link here does no real damage. Atdhe keeps their servers in Sweden. I think they supply links to the feeds, but don't actually host the feeds...at least that was my understanding in the past.
  13. I disagree on several levels. First of all, Donte is a defensive leader on the field and in the clubhouse. He really has become the spokesman for the team. He really didn't trash Jauron, and was quite complimentary, in fact. This was more of a boost for Chan and company than it was a knock on Dick. (Yes, it was a slight knock on Dick, too. But it was gentle.) Donte has a way of saying things that works quite well, I think. He finds a way to say things that doesn't paint him too far into a corner. This week's "guarantee" is a perfect example. He really didn't guarantee a win, if you read it properly. I like a guy like that.
  14. So, you're suggesting it is OK to post the site, as we should be able to find the games ourselves. But you think posting the direct links aids in getting the streams shut down? Seriously? You don't think the NFL can find the game from the site link as easily as we can? You think they don't know about the site? It isn't just you, dog, I have seen this argument from others and it doesn't make any sense, IMO.
  15. Donte hit the nail on the head right there.
  16. Glad to see it is back. (I was quite surprised yesterday when I didn't see it.) Excellent job as always, Lori.
  17. Thanks. I won't use it today, but it's good of you to post it. Should that link go down (as it did in preseason once or twice) I advise people to be ready to switch to another link. The most consistent over the years, IMO, have been the links announced in the following thread (right before, or at, game time): http://www.myp2pforum.eu/threads/44842-Streaming-2010-NFL-Week-1 You may need to have one of the following players installed: StreamTorrent or TVAnts. Sometimes they use Sopcast, too. The games are also listed in the following link, but there are many false, or dead, entries. The thread above usually has the best real/live streams. But in an emergence you can try the streams that will be listed here: http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=86143&part=sports
  18. I believe the OP might argue they have already sent us the middle finger via TV/radio/magazines/blogs/etc. The Bills losing would simply be some justification.
  19. This looks pretty recent, and is pretty damn good: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFRZxyh0vDU
  20. Why do you assume his remark was directed at you?
  21. Isn't ONE win a bit early to be flipping off the naysayers? I'm with you if they make the playoffs.
  22. Ah, yes. Now I got it. Thanks
  23. Good point!
  24. You have to keep in mind, The Senator is, minimum, half-in-the-bag most of the time. But otherwise (with the exception of the 19-0 prediction) I agree with you. Of course I am often, minimum, half-in-the-bag much of the time, too.
  25. What's 62-7?
