Stephen Stills is a great songwriter, too. And yes, they were better with Young. Neil is also a terrific musician and he was at his best in CSNY too, IMO.

Exactly! Most people who hate on Steely Dan do so because they aren't rock. But they AREN'T rock. They shouldn't be judged on a rock standard, or a jazz standard for that matter. Steely Dan is Duke Ellington meets Ray Charles. Steely Dan is modern Cole Porter/Gershwin/Rogers and whoever. But they aren't rock. If you expect/demand rock they won't fill that bill. I'm no Eagles fan and I believe they are very overrated. With that said, there is probably at least one good song on most every Eagles albums (I don't know about the last one or two). How is predicting the Bills to make the playoffs (and who knows from there?) any less realistic than them getting 2 wins? Seeing as how they won 6 games last year, and now look to be in better shape with a much better offensive coach, how is 2 wins (4 fewer than last year) a better, or more realistic outcome than 10 wins (4 more than last year)? You're a "bigtime Bills supporter" and you want the team to suck this year in order to get a high draft pick? You prefer that (it was #1 on your list) to the team demonstrating progress from past years? To the young guys showing they can really play? To finding out we aren't in desperate need for a QB or LT (maybe Bell is the real deal, maybe Trent or one of the others steps up)? You're a big Bills fan, but you want the Bills to lose TWICE to both the Fins and the Jets? Right.
