  1. Nassib's own college coach, Ugh Marrone, passed on him but you think he will lead the Bills to the promised land? Do you have "insider info" that the rest of us are not privvy to ?
  2. Jerry Butler worked with the Bills front office for 7 years before moving on and and doing the same with Cleveland for 12 years. He was fired in 2011. I hope Freddy never ends up in Cleveland, or God forbid, an AFC east opponents FO. That's a nauseating scenario.
  3. Moral of the story, don't open a Versace bag store in cities where Richie Incognitos former teammates now reside.
  4. Newton and Boling are both excellent choices and both can swing to guard or tackle. Newton, a RT, will draw the big contract as he is considered an up and coming star. Boling, a LG, will get a decent but not huge offer as he sat out 2013 due to a knee injury but came back this year and played well. Iupati of the 49ers will be very expensive on the market.
  5. She'd be deadly at the NFL bakeoff competition
  6. Did you factor in the Bills equation ? 14x0 =Bills
  7. It looks like hes doing 100 lb reps on the bench. I'm not seeing 225 but its been a long time since I actually lifted a finger.
  8. If you look around the league at some of the best tight ends over the last 30 yearsand current es lie Gronk (rd. 2), Gates, Jimmy Graham (3rd) , Jason Witten (3rd) , Julius Thomas (4Th) theres a vast majority that were not 1st round picks much less top 10's.es, Tony Gonzales was picked by the Chiefs in the first round at 13 but he never won a super bowl. Vernon Davis was another first roundera who hs not won a SB. Do you really want to spend a top 10 pick on a situational receiver who MIGHT be able to block or would you rather get the best impact linebacker (Mack?), a homerun wr or an offensive tackle you can plug in for the next 10 years? I just don't get the draft a TE in the top 10 crowd. .I think the Bills can do better at number 9.
  9. I agree with the douchebagginess assessment of Manziel and I also think that finn has a point asking if we all need a resume to post thoughts on here. It seems like theres a misguided snobbiness on TBD and SOME posters think they're "experts" just because of the huge numbers of posts they have put on the board. Being wrong 15,000 times just makes one an expert douchebag. Back to the 9th draft slot, why would the Bills draft another qb in the 1st round when they still don't know if EJ is the man ? I'd draft Clemson WR Sammy Watkins after watching his 16 catches for 227 yards and 2 td's vs. Ohio St. in the Orange Bowl or UB lb Kahlil Mack. They're both huge playmakers and what the Bills lack. Just my douchebag opinion.
  10. People who are having their first adult beverages should be given a timeout before posting new topics
  11. This is just a ridiculous stretch to ASSume that the other 31 teams did not also draft possible DROY and OROY candidates. Homer much ?
  12. Aaron Maybin has to be included in any subject that includes the words "Draft Busts".
  13. Does anyone know if theres a 24/7/365 on call interpreter at TBD to decipher the code of this ancient language ?
  14. The reason you are not "getting this argument" is that you're fixated on the QB position. if you take an honest look at our beloved Bills you would see that we desperately need LB'ers, our WR corps is Stevie Johnson and nobody, our only decent TE is coming off ACL surgery on his knee and may not be up to par, our DB's are thin or overmatched, and our OL has lost starter andy Levitre while Eric Pears is coming back from an injury. Its a deep draft at almost every position but QB and you want to go after 3 QB's with our first 3 picks ? I'd say thats a bit myopic and a recipe for disaster. I'd draft one, sign Kolb or Flynn, then sign a FA college qb with a major arm who needs time to develop (Peter Lalich-Great talent-Maturity issues). I share your frustration with the Bills qb position but panic is not the way to build a team. Articles on Peter Lalich: http://www.chicagonow.com/chicago-bears-huddle/2013/03/from-riches-to-rags-and-back-my-interview-with-peter-lalich/ http://www.knowitallfootball.com/2013/02/26/nfl-draft-2013-peter-lalich-the-forgotten-one/
  15. Thats why it might not be such a gamble to trade this years pick for long range gain. We all know its a bad team that needs a top qb, not a fringe guy who might be another Carson Palmer, Andy Dalton, Christian Ponder, etc. We might get lucky and find another Russell wilson but thats just pure luck. All 32 teams passed on him at least twice including Seattle.
  16. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, well.................
  17. Its purely a gamble guessing which team is going to flop. I'm sure other teams would look at the Bills as one of those "flop" teams. Thats why I mentioned Jacksonville, Oakland, Cleveland and Arizona as possible trading partners. I actually left out the team that I think may have the worst record in football this year as they're a divisoional rival and most teams shy from trading in division................ J-E-T-S, J-E-T-S, J-E-T-S I honestly believe they may be the worst team in the NFL with all of the vets released and their poor personnel moves.
  18. Just wondering here, but since the Bills are in obvious re-building mode for the umpteenth time would you trade the Bills 8th pick overall this year to a team that might be bad enough to give the bills a chance at the #1 overall pick in 2014 ? The trade would have to bring back the other teams 2nd round pick this year and their number 1 in 2014. The trade would also have to be with a team that is likely to have a poor record in 2013.Teams like Jacksonville, Oakland, Cleveland and maybe Arizona need more help than just a 1st round pick (as the Bills do) and since the 2014 draft has better qb's it might pay off in the long term to lose now, win later. We are all tired of the Bills chronic losing but I'm looking at the long term success of the Bills and would put up with more pain now if it pays off in future wins.
  19. Taking a guard, any guard, at number 8 is a reach. The Bills could sign ex-Jet Brandon Moore who was a Pro Bowl guard in 2011-12 or draft a decent guard in the 3rd round of a talent heavy OL prospects draft. The first 2 picks are needed to address the qb and wr positions. Just my 2 cents.
  20. Where's Joe Dufek when we need him ?
  21. Excellent choice and thats exactly how I meant it, most DISAPPOINTING pick. I still think of Ronnie Harmon as one of the more disappointing picks. There were rumors lasting til present day of him throwing the game in the 1986 Rose Bowl where Harmon fumbled 4 times, all in the first half! I could not believe the Bills drafted a rb who performed so poorly in a huge game. Then Harmon repeated his act of coming up small in the Bills playoff loss at Cleveland when he made "the drop" in the endzone with seconds left that would have won the game. Heres a link to the Harmon possibly throwing the Rose Bowl incident. http://iowa.scout.com/2/55311.html for the Bills. I've always wondered about that drop after Harmons 4 fumble Rose Bowl. Heres a link
  22. The list is long but heres my picks in football, hockey and basketball. I did not include baseball as Buffalo is a farm team. Football: Walt Patulski , DE Notre Dame, #1 overall pick 1972. Not a great draft year period. Almost as big of a bust as the Raiders JaMarcus Russell and his purple drank Honorable mention: Perry Tuttle, Clemson WR Basketball: Elmore Smith, "The Big E", Number 3 overall pick of the Buffalo Braves in 1971. An excellent rebounder but that was his whole game. Hockey: Morris Titanic, defenseman selected number 12 overall by the Sabres in 1973. Career stats: 17 games, 0 goals, 0 assists, 0 penalty minutes. Looking forward to seeing names added to this motley crew
