  3. NFL salary cap could drop by as much as $40 million in 2021 per report It should not come as a shock to anyone with what is going on, but the NFL stands to lose quite a bit of money if regular attendance is not going to happen. Yesterday, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that the NFL salary cap could fall by $40 million in 2021 https://www.revengeofthebirds.com/2020/6/5/21280858/nfl-salary-cap-could-drop-by-as-much-as-40-million-in-2021-per-report-az-arizona-cardinals#:~:text=Yesterday%2C NFL insider Ian Rapoport, heading into the 2021 offseason. It can't drop that much unless all players take a temporary pay cut. The Bills have $19M cap space so far.
  4. It's the right move by New Era to try and stay viable .
  5. Buffalo had shortage of school bus drivers before covid , now more are quitting. So a hybrid system with those who can remote learn may be the better option and more parents driving students to and from school.
  6. I don't blame 45 for not shutting down air travel to and from Europe a lot sooner , I blame the CDC , Fauci and WHO
  7. That is true but only the federal gov can stop air travel to and from China and Europe . The European strain hit NYC and NJ very hard. On 31 January, the Italian government suspended all flights to and from China and declared a state of emergency. This is when the U.S. should have stopped flights to and from Europe. (I know hindsight is 20/20)
  8. We're wasting time talking about herd immunity Antibodies to the virus would increase sharply after infection and peak after about two weeks. But then their presence would decline, generally disappearing entirely somewhere between four months and one year. In one case, a person was reinfected with the same strain of coronavirus after just four weeks from first infection. https://www.cnn.com/2020/07/13/opinions/herd-immunity-covid-19-uncomfortable-reality-haseltine/index.html Would a vaccine also lose effect after a short while if the above article were true ?
  9. I agree with Republicans that include Kellyanne Conway's husband in the Lincoln Project.
  10. I like Christmas music , it's a good idea , it does calm me .
  11. officials announced that the city would be called Washington, in honor of the country’s first president, George Washington. The larger federal area would be named the District of Columbia. Columbia had become another name for the United States, one that was used by poets and other writers. The name came from Christopher Columbus, the explorer who sailed from Europe across the Atlantic Ocean to the Western Hemisphere. https://learningenglish.voanews.com/a/a-23-a-2004-10-13-6-1-83122312/123257.html I learn something new everyday , thanks B-Man
  12. The high death toll in NYC and NJ was from the 3 million people who arrived from Europe by air “To keep new cases from entering our shores,” Trump said in an Oval Office address on March 11, “we will be suspending all travel from Europe to the United States for the next 30 days.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/one-final-viral-infusion-trumps-move-to-block-travel-from-europe-triggered-chaos-and-a-surge-of-passengers-from-the-outbreaks-center/2020/05/23/64836a00-962b-11ea-82b4-c8db161ff6e5_story.html By March 11 the damage was done. Early on did not know that the elderly and nursing homes were the most vulnerable. The rest of the country had time to learn from NYC and be better prepared. I'm not making any excuses for Cuomo and de Blasio
  13. Trump Shares Chuck Woolery Tweet That CDC ‘Is Lying’ About COVID-19 The president retweeted an attack on “Dr. Fauci and the Democrats” from another account, then went back to Woolery to retweet a second attack on Democrats. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/trump-shares-chuck-woolery-tweet-124445783.html

  15. 6 promises Trump has made about health care By HENRY C. JACKSON 03/13/2017 10:14 PM EDT No one will lose coverage. There will be insurance for everybody. Healthcare will be a “lot less expensive” for everyone — the government, consumers, providers. ‘INSURANCE FOR EVERYBODY’ Before he was sworn in, President Trump made a bold promise: The as-yet-unreleased Obamacare repeal and replacement plan would have “insurance for everybody.” “We’re going to have insurance for everybody,” Trump said in an interview with The Washington Post. “There was a philosophy in some circles that if you can’t pay for it, you don’t get it. That’s not going to happen with us.” https://www.politico.com/story/2017/03/trump-obamacare-promises-236021
  16. If a person walks into a ER that is not an emergency direct them to a immediate care facility. It's sad if they had primary care coverage but went to a far more expensive ER instead . jmo
  17. NYPD cop placed in headlock as cheering crowd looks on, video shows https://www.foxnews.com/us/nypd-cop-headlock-bronx-crowd-video good grief , this country is going in the wrong direction
  18. I'm saying preventive care is more cost effective then hospital care for the uninsured .
  19. A person is innocent until proven guilty. Let Barr charge him with crimes , if found guilty put him in prison. Same goes for any politician who breaks the law.
  20. Hospital care is an extreme cost , better to have coverage for uninsured for primary care drs , HMO and dentists.
  21. 44 million Americans are uninsured, and eight out of ten of these are workers or their dependents. Why is being uninsured a problem? About 44 million people in this country have no health insurance, and another 38 million have inadequate health insurance. https://www.pbs.org/healthcarecrisis/uninsured.html#:~:text=44 million Americans are uninsured, million have inadequate health insurance. These are the working poor who earn too much to qualify for medicaid but can't afford insurance.( Not sure if that is a up to date number)

  23. There is a group on Grand Island trying to keep Amazon out , just beyond belief. Good jobs and property tax revenue stay away for these idiots like AOC
  24. In Paris schools chose certain students to return , children who's parent or both parents had to work , those without internet or proper computer. Children old enough to remote learn without supervision or who had a stay at home parent . This is in a area with covid under control. A hybrid system like this is a safer way to start.
