  1. The bills have tried to rebuild since Bill Polian and John Butler were let go.
  2. Buffalo waterfront dome , Warren Buffet money could afford, is just a nice dream for WNY
  3. If I could only afford Levitre or Fitz (at present salary) I would keep Levitre. Go for a qb in 2014 or 2nd rd this, T Jax is on the payroll, use him
  4. The bills have there share of 1 st rd mistakes, so we can't throw stones.
  5. Agree If the Bills don't re-sign Levitre, OT 1 st rd for sure, OG later rds
  6. S. Merriman is a good leader, but only at a much lower contract due to being injury prone.
  7. Pettine might bring in a FA who knows his system from the Jets ,March 12
  8. Pettine will know how to get Aaron up to his potential.
  9. Excellent info by OP, thanks, drafting is a lot harder then it looks. I won't be so critical of buddy now , but wish we could draft like SF or NE
  10. Mayocks view for bills 1st pick http://blogs.buffalo...-has-holes.html a different idea http://blogs.buffalonews.com/press-coverage/2013/02/why-the-bills-should-think-about-drafting-another-ot-early.html?ref=brp
  11. Example of good front office and scouting is SF 49 ers Start counting up the first-round draft choices on the roster and you're going to need three hands. San Francisco boasts an astounding 15 players who were deemed blue-chip and selected in the league's opening round. And there's even a fascinating subset within those numbers. Nine of those first-round 49ers are homegrown, but six were imports from other organizations. That list features receiver Randy Moss (1998, Minnesota), defensive end Justin Smith (2001, Cincinnati), guard Leonard Davis (2001, AZ) cornerback Carlos Rogers (2005, Washington), safety Donte Whitner (2006, Buffalo) and receiver-return man Ted Ginn Jr. (2007, Miami). Clearly San Francisco can see value in another team's refuse. Read More: http://sportsillustr.../#ixzz2M6KnfAWk http://sportsillustr...first-rounders/
  12. Deion Sanders , 4.21 sec , it matters . With todays spread offense, Teo better be able to chace down a qb at the least.
  13. If the new staff can fix the defence, they can get by with Fitz (restructured contract) till they find a better qb.
  14. Focus on run (good OL) and stop the run this year. Too many holes to fill.
  15. Cleveland misses: 2007 Brady Quinn rd 1 #22 , 2010 Colt Mc Coy rd 3 #85 , 2012 Brandon Weeden rd 1 #22
  16. He doesn't look like rd 1 , especially after the Alabama game. John Harbaugh shook his head watching his slow run.
  17. Watching the combine I don't see a qb in rd 1. That must be why KC is trying for Alex Smith. Restructure Fitz to sign Levitre , bad move to cut Nelson.
  18. The article impressed me a lot. He's very serious working with Ken Anderson and Paul Hackett both qb coaches . If they both agree that Nassib is a franchise qb, then I would take him in the 1st rd if Marone wants him.
  19. Both teams have let good FA's walk, poor drafting , trades, same results.
  20. Excellent data find, thanks. We need both players to stay to make any progress from here out. T Jax $1.75 million looks a lot better then 4.5 early report. Get Fitz down to $4 million plus good incentives if he delivers or cut him now. Stop letting good players walk .
  21. If we don't re-sign Levitre , Byrd and restructure Fitz contract, then we are back to square one yet again.
  22. There are two types of franchise tag designations: the exclusive rights franchise tag, and non-exclusive rights franchise tag: An "exclusive" franchise player must be offered a one-year contract for an amount no less than the average of the top five salaries at the player's position as of a date in April of the current year in which the tag will apply, or 120 percent of the player's previous year's salary, whichever is greater. Exclusive franchise players cannot negotiate with other teams. The player's team has all the negotiating rights to the exclusive player. A "non-exclusive" franchise player must be offered a one-year contract for an amount no less than the average of the top five salaries at the player's position for the previous year, or 120 percent of the player's previous year's salary, whichever is less. A non-exclusive franchise player may negotiate with other NFL teams, but if he signs an offer sheet from another team, the original team has a right to match the terms of that offer, or if it does not match the offer and thus loses the player, is entitled to receive two first-round draft pick as compensation. Under the Capped years a team can designate one additional player only as a transitional tag. A transition player must be offered a minimum of the average of the top 10 salaries of the prior season at the player's position or 120 percent of the player's prior year's salary, whichever is greater. A transition player designation gives the club a first-refusal right to match within seven days an offer sheet given to the player by another club after his contract expires. If the club matches, it retains the player. If it does not match, it receives no compensation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franchise_tag
