Are we ramping up to war with North Korea?
ALF replied to dpberr's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
It's April 15 and N Korea is 12.5 hours later then EST so it looks like Kim will behave for now anyway. -
why draft a raw QB when we've got Cardale on the roster
ALF replied to Commish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Cardales potential and hope he gets good coaching to improve even to the point of backup. Same with Logan Thomas at TE -

Eli Manning accused of fake "game used" helmet scam
ALF replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is not likely that Manning, the Giants or their employees would be subject to criminal prosecution as the alleged actions in question have passed the federal five-year statute of limitations. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/19153348/eli-manning-new-york-giants-accused-fraud-court-documents -

Interesting article recap of Middle East Yes, we need to deal with ISIS. However, what most Americans do not understand is that the CIA has provided covert support, weapons, materiel, and money for so-called “moderate” rebels, who became ISIS, Al Qaeda and Al-Nusra. The U.S. did this in cooperation with our allies, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar, in order to overthrow the Syrian government, which, for all of its faults protected the freedom to worship. http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2017/04/14/dennis-kucinich-mother-all-bombs-is-actually-mother-all-warmongering.html -
very sad , such a humble and gentle man RIP The house where Dan Rooney grew up and lived to his final days is just two stories high with a small porch, located on a modest block on Pittsburgh's north side not far from a fast food restaurant and some empty lots. You can almost see it from Heinz Field, and for years, Rooney would walk the cracked sidewalks down the hill to get to Steelers home games, one of the most influential people in NFL history remaining firmly a part of the city where he resided -- save for one very celebrated interruption -- all his life. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000799785/article/dan-rooney-left-indelible-stamp-on-pittsburgh-steelers-and-nfl

Reuben Foster Athleticism gives him cover ability that former teammate Reggie Ragland never possessed. Has Pro Bowl potential as a 3-4 inside linebacker or a 4-3 weak-side linebacker, but concerns over his medical history could be a consideration, according to some teams. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/reuben-foster?id=2557837 I would rather go with a healthy player this year

Here's the father of all bombs: Russia's answer to the MOA The bomb, the Massive Ordinance Air Blast, nicknamed the "Mother of All Bombs" because of its acronym, is the largest nonnuclear bomb in the US's arsenal. But Russia has an even bigger one. The so-called father of all bombs is thought to be about four times as big as the MOAB. http://www.businessinsider.com/heres-the-father-of-all-bombs-russias-answer-to-the-moab-2017-4 -

Heard one retired officer explain that China wants N Korea to keep U.S. assets tied up in case of war between China and U.S. China also does not want millions of N Korean refugees if U.S. takes out Kim jong-un -

Thanks for a link to a more accurate site. I'm being conditioned to not believe anything anymore, maybe this next story is true, maybe not US intelligence intercepted communications between Syrian military and chemical experts By Barbara Starr, CNN Pentagon Correspondent Updated 10:46 PM ET, Wed April 12, 2017 (CNN)The US military and intelligence community has intercepted communications featuring Syrian military and chemical experts talking about preparations for the sarin attack in Idlib last week, a senior US official tells CNN. The intercepts were part of an immediate review of all intelligence in the hours after the attack to confirm responsibility for the use of chemical weapons in an attack in northwestern Syria, which killed at least 70 people. US officials have said that there is "no doubt" that Syrian President Bashar al-Assad is responsible for the attack. http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/12/politics/us-intelligence-syrian-chemical-weapons/index.html -

So, your United flight is overbooked?
ALF replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Outrage spread to Vietnam on Wednesday over United Airlines' handling of a passenger dragged from his seat after it emerged that the 69-year-old U.S. doctor was Vietnamese by birth. Although United Airlines has no direct flights to Vietnam, there were widespread calls on social media for a boycott after video showed a bloodied David Dao being yanked out of the plane by airport security on Sunday to make way for United employees. http://www.reuters.com/article/us-ual-passenger-vietnam-idUSKBN17E0H7 -

Is this fake news ? They are all situated in the Syrian borderland with Iraq, DEBKAfile’s military forces report. http://www.debka.com/article/26004/US-Air-Force-to-quit-Incirlik-move-to-Syria-base -

The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
ALF replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Trump on pace to surpass 8 years of Obama's travel spending in 1 year Donald Trump's travel to his private club in Florida has cost over an estimated $20 million in his first 80 days as president, putting the president on pace in his first year of office to surpass former President Barack Obama's spending on travel for his entire eight years. Not only does Trump travel frequently, but New York City officials have said it costs between $127,000 to $146,000 a day to protect first lady Melania Trump when she is in New York and the president is not there. "The habitual vacationer, @BarackObama, is now in Hawaii. This vacation is costing taxpayers $4 milion +++ while there is 20% unemployment," Trump tweeted in 2011 with an incorrect unemployment figure. Trump later tweeted: "President @BarackObama's vacation is costing taxpayers millions of dollars——Unbelievable!" http://www.cnn.com/2017/04/10/politics/donald-trump-obama-travel-costs/index.html hypocrisy ? -

Neil Gorsuch - Nominee to the Supreme Court
ALF replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
The democrats really messed up not voting for a moderate Gorsuch. Next time Trump can nominate a far right judge and just need 51 instead of 60 votes. -
It would be nice if Chad went UDFA and signed with the Bills. If he does not look good in preseason can go on the PS and hope to progress on and off field. If the Bills do not draft a QB earlier I would gamble the late 5th rd on him.
