Earth Overshoot Day: We’ve just exhausted a year’s worth of the planet's resources The earliest-ever Earth Overshoot Day on Aug. 2, 2017, means that humans are pushing the planet to its ecological limit at an accelerated pace. Previously known as Ecological Debt Day, it’s when the global population’s demand exceeds the amount of resources that Earth can produce for the year. The date has slowly crept up from Dec. 21 in 1971. https://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/earth-overshoot-day-weve-just-exhausted-a-years-worth-of-the-planets-resources/70002351 interesting article -

Bills' 2017 Training Camp Discussion - Week 2
ALF replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
PITTSFORD -- The future of Seantrel Henderson's football career has truly become a 24-hour struggle. As he adjusts to living with Crohn's disease, it's not enough for Henderson to simply report each day for practice and film study. He has to work just as hard to maintain the weight needed to play offensive line in the NFL. "I have a meal plan," Henderson said after a recent training camp practice at St. John Fisher College. "Meats and greens every day, protein shakes, a lot of fruit. As long as I keep gulping up a lot of everything, and getting my calories in, I'm good to go. I can keep my weight up." At his lowest weight after being diagnosed, Henderson dropped to 280 pounds. He weighs 345 today -- a testament to how hard he's worked. That is truly amazing , rooting for the big guy all the way. Leave him alone Roger. -

Several New York Democrats ask for lenient sentence for ex-CEO of male escort service website NEW YORK – Some Democratic politicians are asking a federal judge to go easy on a former CEO of a once-popular male escort service website who pleaded guilty last year to promoting prostitution in a case that prompted accusations of anti-gay bias. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/08/02/several-new-york-democrats-ask-for-lenient-sentence-for-ex-ceo-male-escort-service-website.html -
2018 election will be really big if it doesn't get fixed. Senator announces bipartisan health care hearing on Obamacare (CNN)Several Republican and Democrat lawmakers agree that Congress needs to prevent a collapse of the health insurance market, which could hurt millions of consumers -- and that concern has opened up some bipartisan dialogue. Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tennessee, said the Senate health committee will hold bipartisan health care hearings on how to repair the individual market. In the House, a group of 40 lawmakers from both parties endorsed an outline of ideas aimed at making urgent fixes to Obamacare. The step toward bipartisanship on health care comes as some Republicans consider an approach that diverges from the president's stance. http://www.cnn.com/2017/08/02/politics/senate-health-care-hearing-bipartisan/index.html finally

Oil reserves in Venezuela. The proven oil reserves in Venezuela are recognized as the largest in the world, totaling 297 billion barrels (4.72×1010 m3) as of 1 January 2014. I could see China stepping in to save there economy in exchange for oil -
Unless Comey and Kelly say the story is false , it's possible If they both say no comment then it is likely true. They wouldn't want the orange guy to freak out.

What is better, no guns, or more guns?
ALF replied to Security's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Chicago gets bad rap, but gun violence in Buffalo isn't much better The number of shootings in Chicago exploded last year and became the focus of a national discussion on gun violence. But over the last six years, the risk of being shot in Buffalo was nearly as high as the risk faced by residents of the Windy City. In the five years before Chicago's shootings exploded in 2016, Buffalo and Chicago were neck and neck in the number wounded or killed by gunfire per 100,000 residents, according to a Buffalo News analysis. Buffalo actually had a higher rate of shootings than Chicago twice in the last six years, The News found by examining Buffalo Police and Census data, along with Chicago shooting data published by the Chicago Tribune http://buffalonews.com/2017/07/31/chicago-shootings-buffalo-us-cities-rates/ -

Bills' 2017 Training Camp Discussion - Off Day on 7/31
ALF replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mike Tolbert is a beast, and poor Kevon Seymour, who was starting in place of Ronald Darby today, found out the hard way. He tried to tackle “the Toldozer” one on one...it did not end well for Seymour, as Tolbert ran right through him. He’s a big, tough dude who could definitely carve out a role behind LeSean McCoy this season. https://www.buffalorumblings.com/2017/7/30/16064810/injuries-matt-milano-tanner-vallejo-rod-streater-storylines-sunday-bills-training-camp-practice Toby try not to break any of your teammates save that for the season.
