According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is about to start throwing, and has gone to Los Angeles to work with passing gurus Tom House and Adam Dedeaux. The Bills still need a bridge QB whoever they draft.

I don't blame the Bills for trying to save cap space as long as Eric gets the same payout. Coach or ambassador to make up any difference.

If Taylor is let go his cap hit is something like $8M. The bills could find a cheaper bridge unless they trade for Alex Smith. That would give enough time to develop a drafted QB. Very critical draft , free agency and trade time. Bridgewater and Bradford could also be a option if healthy.

I would try to get Alex Smith for a 3rd rd and take a qb without moving up. If the new scouts can really id a good QB try to move up. It's going to take a few good years of drafting to fill all the holes .

Browns at #1 could afford to sign Cousins. Giants at #2 Shurmur said Eli has years left. I still hesitate to move up though.

Sign Cousins , trade down #1 for a rebuild.
