Looking at his first 2 years , not impressive to be a bridge here http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/9274/teddy-bridgewater

If the Bills could not trade up , then Bridgewater and take a QB at 21 works for me.

Jags release RB Chris Ivory - Update! Visited Bills 2/26
ALF replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Only if it takes McCoy in a deal to trade up for a QB. -
Would like to see Rosen and Jackson at a higher weight. Jackson has CB / WR speed 4.34 (school timed) , hand size next ? He would be a project , seems like a very humble , hard worker.

Davis had a base salary of $10M in 2017 , little more then Gaines is projected for 2018 by spotrac. Maybe a show me contract with incentives for Davis who will be 30 on May 27. Better then just letting Gaines walk if he is asking too much with injury history.

Vikings Will Make a Strong Push for Cousins in UFA
ALF replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I still hope Browns make Cousins a offer he can't refuse and take Barkley #1. Playing in a new dome for a playoff team would be very hard to pass up. Frees up their other QBs , Bridgewater might not be a FA though. -
Vic C & Greg Gabriel - Don't see Bills moving up in RD1

If the Bills could trade up with 21,22 , maybe a player but not next year's 1st would be ok. Depends where Viking QBs and Cousins land. -
Rapaport: Bills won’t cut Tyrod, fine with paying 6 mill bonus
ALF replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they cut or trade Taylor the Bills will have to sign another bridge QB . Just Hoping Peterman will make progress does not make him the starting QB The theory is they will draft a QB with future starting potential or a Viking FA that can start. -

The Bills last playoff win was 30 Dec 1995 that's what ridiculous. A better draft position while rebuilding instead of 8 or 9 wins won't hurt long term at this point. -

I would be ok with a cheaper Fitz (just no long throws) , hope Peterman might start , sit a drafted QB . Depends on Vikings QBs also in free agency. I'm just ready to move on from Taylor, he might have a long career as a backup . As long as the drafted QB has good potential not worried about making the playoffs in 2018. -
Realistic expectations for Draftee QB
ALF replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives

With $26.5M guaranteed he is now set for life , he can relax even if St Doug yells at him. -
Is DACA Issue Just A Dem Slight Of Hand?
ALF replied to 3rdnlng's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I agree, it will backfire on the Democrats. I could not believe they did not take that deal . -
I've watched his interview , you can tell he is from a humble background , very respectful , wears a big crucifix. I will bet he will work hard to be successful. I hope he has a good career , rooting for him. The junior quarterback ran a 4.34-second 40 , wow https://www.courier-journal.com/story/sports/college/louisville/2017/03/09/lamar-jackson-runs-40-yard-dash/98930194/

Active shooter at Florida high school
ALF replied to Canadian Bills Fan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Sources: Coral Springs police upset at some Broward deputies for not entering school When Coral Springs police officers arrived at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, on February 14 in the midst of the school shooting crisis, many officers were surprised to find not only that Broward County Sheriff's Deputy Scot Peterson, the armed school resource officer, had not entered the building, but that three other Broward County Sheriff's deputies were also outside the school and had not entered, Coral Springs sources tell CNN. Some Coral Springs police were stunned and upset that the four original Broward County Sheriff's deputies who were first on the scene did not appear to join them as they entered the school, Coral Springs sources tell CNN. It's unclear whether the shooter was still in the building when they arrived. The resentment among Coral Springs officials toward Broward County officials about what they perceived to be a dereliction of duty may have reached a boiling point at a vigil the night of February 15, where, in front of dozens of others, Coral Springs City Manager Mike Goodrum confronted Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel. https://www.cnn.com/2018/02/23/politics/parkland-school-shooting-broward-deputies/index.html -
The nuclear option (or constitutional option) is a parliamentary procedure that allows the United States Senate to override a rule – specifically the 60-vote rule to close debate – by a simple majority of 51 votes, rather than the two-thirds supermajority normally required to amend the rules. The option is invoked when the majority leader raises a point of order that only a simple majority is needed to close debate on certain matters. The presiding officer denies the point of order based on Senate rules, but the ruling of the chair is then appealed and overturned by majority vote, establishing new precedent. This procedure effectively allows the Senate to decide any issue by simple majority vote, regardless of existing procedural rules such as Rule XXII which requires the consent of 60 senators (out of 100) to end a filibuster for legislation, and 67 for amending a Senate rule. The term "nuclear option" is an analogy to nuclear weapons being the most extreme option in warfare. The nuclear option has only been used in practice twice. In November 2013, Senate Democrats used the nuclear option to eliminate the 60-vote rule on executive branch nominations and federal judicial appointments other than those to the Supreme Court. In April 2017, Senate Republicans used the nuclear option to eliminate the exception for Supreme Court nominees, after the nomination of Neil Gorsuch failed to meet the requirement of 60 votes for ending the debate https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_option

Steelers are "listening to potential deals" for Martavis Bryant.

I'm fine for drafting Mayfield. The Bills having some good character players is a nice bonus. -
New indictment accuses Manafort of paying European politicians The new indictment came less than two hours after Gates pleaded guilty to two criminal charges in federal court and pledged to cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation of Russia and the 2016 presidential election. In total, Manafort now faces five federal criminal charges in Washington, including money laundering and foreign lobbying violations, and 18 federal charges in Virginia, largely related to alleged bank fraud. https://www.cnn.com/2018/02/23/politics/manafort-mueller/index.html

We will see what someone might offer for Taylor a safe backup , or the Bills keep him or release by March 16 . Depends what happens in early free agency .
