  1. we go bust every year playing it safe anyhow so what's the difference? roll the dice, take a chance
  2. I had a good idea. How about do something different and actually go all out and get a QB. You know. the most important position possibly in all of sports. Or do the same old thing and be a .500 team. Tough call works on desktop, not on mobile
  3. If you want 5 more years of Tyrod type production then sure. He will keep you on the path you are already on where you might win 7-9 games and maybe make the playoffs. He can't pass you down the field with the clock running out and the game on the line. We saw how necessary that was in the super bowl. No thanks, we need a real QB not a gimmick Wentz wasn't Wentz when he was drafted so it's funny that Mayock says that. Wentz was the 2nd pick in the draft because Wentz had a lot of question marks. There are 4 guys in this draft that would be graded very similar and 2 probably higher. So no, there isn't a Carson Wentz in the draft. There's 4 of them
  4. He shouldn't be picked as high as he will but best believe some teams will have him as not only the #1 QB but also the #1 player in the draft. If he starts falling teams will be tripping over themselves to move up to get him. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2018/02/nfl-draft-josh-allen-crossbar-50-yards-arm-strength
  5. That's a nice thought. If you put your life savings into a business and hired a manager to run things and someone in the business that you admire told you not to hire someone you wouldn't tell the manager not to hire them? I know for a fact that Pegula and Polian talk on the phone often. They are looking for a QB. I'm sure they have discussed it and Pegula will be relaying his thoughts to Beane. If you want to know Pegulas message to Beane then tune in to NFL Live on ESPN to see what Polian has to say
  6. They aren't drafting Lamar Jackson. Polian still has the ear of Pegula. I'm sure Pegula asked him his thoughts on QB's and he told him that Jackson is a WR. I heard the Bills are trying to trade up in hopes that Josh Allen drops but imo there's absolutely no way he gets out of the top 6. They are just fronting with Tyrod. They desperately want to trade him but teams probably think they will cut him so why give up anything. So it's smart that they are now putting it out there that they are willing to keep him which is of course nonsense. Worst case, they pay him $6 mil and nobody wants to trade so then they cut him. I'm sure someone will at least give up a late round pick though. Hes an ok veteran QB under contract for $10 mil. That's cheap!
  7. most other teams have a QB. who can outbid us when we have 2x 1st round picks and 2x 2nd round picks this year? Rosen is absolutely a future 4000 yard passer. He's going to at the very least be better than Cousins who is going to make $30 mil per season but we are going to get him for about 1/3 the price. use the rest of that money to fill whatever holes you can't fill in the draft over the next 2 years. it's a no brainer
  8. The expectation is that within 3 yrs you will have a QB that can win you the Super Bowl and make you a contender for many years to come. It's not all about instant gratification
  9. pretty cool! wish it was a lombardi though
  10. sounds like he enjoyed the west coast trip. I think it will be Raiders or 49ers
  11. first off, a QB they draft will be super cheap compared to a veteran. the contracts these days are nuts. secondly, i'll gladly take the 2 super bowl wins over the next 14 yrs. not sure what people expect but if we had a QB as good as Eli in his prime then we hit the jackpot
  12. here you go a-hole I posted it in a few different threads but this was the first i was able to find and it took me like 20 min so you're welcome! Posted April 28, 2017 I agree with them. Chiefs will pick around same spot next year. A late 1st round 25th isn't the same as a top 10-15 pick obviously. I think we needed to get a 2nd rounder this year to say we "hosed them." A 3rd is like ehh ok. Cleveland will have pick 1 and a top 15 since they traded with Houston who is going to stink this year.
  13. if someone knows how to search the archives they will find it in the thread talking about the trade up. when I search my posts it seems to only go back so far
  14. Oh did the retire? I guess I missed the announcement Apparently that's not good enough to be a Bills QB!
  15. Yet he's 1 of only a couple that checks off most of the OP's wishes, wishes that are absolutely absurd to begin with.
  16. I said that on draft day and people scoffed at it. Houston was clearly going to be drafting higher. I expected the Chiefs to win 11 games and pick around 25 and Texans picking top 15. It was a no brainer
  17. I posted that I thought Josh Rosen's NFL comparison would be Eli Manning and I had numerous people respond that he's not worth trading up for if he's only as good as Eli Manning. There are a lot of delusional fans on this forum.
  18. Kyle Boller did the same thing, didn't turn out too well for him. Takes more than a strong arm to be a QB. A lot of people in the know think Josh Allen is the Bills target.
  19. Haha I think someone photoshopped his face and arms on EJ's body He's been eating Mighty Taco and Ted's hotdogs
  20. I saw this online. Not the best Photoshop but I thought it was worth posting. THE CHOSEN ROSEN
  21. Trade up and get the 2nd QB off the board otherwise why did we accumulate all of those picks? Now is the time to be bold and change this franchise's future. You can get defensive players in any draft. We need a QB and this is the year they are available. I like Rosen but you can make a case for any of the top 4 guys. They all have something special worthy of a top pick. Just form a consensus and get your guy. At least we will know you did everything you could to make it happen rather than sitting back and doing nothing!
  22. All of the above scare me except for Tyrod and McCown. This year is really going to reshape a lot of teams. I don't think there has ever been so many QB's moving around ever in the history of the NFL
  23. It scares NFL teams because they want someone that they can control. Mindless zombies in unison where no one person is above the team. Don't ask questions just do what we say. This is my favorite article on Rosen and it will tell you everything you need to know about the young man . I posted a thread about it last year in case anyone missed it: http://thelab.bleacherreport.com/a-beautiful-brash-mind/ He's the best QB in a very long time and the only reason he is not #1 is because he has a mind of his own and he intends to use it. He's using football which isn't any different from how football uses and discards players every day. He just understands that and is using it to his advantage.
