NFL Week 8: 10/30/22 GAMEDAY BIlls vs Packers Pregame Thread 🎃
K D replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wonder if he would wear Reggie White? He seems to celebrate all of the greats regardless of team. Last game vs KC he had Derrick Thomas, but that was his favorite player all time and the reason he wore 58 so it might be the exception -
Smart kid. If I was that small I'd probably befriend the biggest kid in the class too. Schools these days are rough and it's all about survival!

Visiting for the Packers game - seeking tailgate recommendations.

Let everyone you meet know you are in town from Hawaii and I'm sure they will make sure you get the full game day experience. But be warned you may need a designated driver to get home! -
It's not your fault. You probably grew up playing the wrong kind of "football" over there. We probably can't kick a ball as well as you over here so you would have to teach us. My cousins had an exchange student from Spain and he wasn't good at soccer in his country but he came here and he was one of the best players in the area. I'm guessing we could come there and be the best American football players Italy has ever seen.

Trade Deadline (Nov 1) Bills Rumors / Speculation

Moss for anything. I don't want to watch him run straight into the pile for 1 yard anymore. -
Trade Deadline (Nov 1) Bills Rumors / Speculation

Yes to the 2nd one. They would give up a 1st round pick then have to deal with the backlash from his trial and his suspension for possibly half the season next year. Not worth it -
Trade Deadline (Nov 1) Bills Rumors / Speculation

I listened to them talking about bildos for 5 min and I missed the Kamara talk originally lol. They said they like the stadium renderings and they want to see bildos flying into the new field and then they were questioning if people have sex dungeons. It got weird They would have to overpay for Kamara considering he's going to be suspended for a large number of games next season. He's not worth a 1st or whatever it would take. I don't want to hear anything about RB's unless it's like a 4th round pick aka you couldn't draft someone that good with the pick presumably. Lots of good backs available in round 2-3 usually -
Cam Akers for Moss straight up. Or...Moss and a 5th for Hunt!

Tom Brady has been playing for 1/3 of the entire existence of the Buffalo Bills franchise

She saw the game last night and was like that's it I'm out!

Broncos getting trade calls for Jeudy and Chubb
K D replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the Steelers would be dumb to trade Claypool for a 2nd. Who can they get in the 2nd that's as good as him? They need to have guys for baby hands to throw to. Pickens is very very good and Claypool has good size -
Tommy have up his marriage to a supermodel for THIS?

I always thought it was funny that radio guys who "work" 4 hours a day also take days off. Isn't their whole life a day off? I don't even think Bulldog leaves his house, he was doing the show from his attic for like the past 2 years

Employee Rentention Program is the next thing coming. They are just giving away free money as a bonus for those businesses that kept on their employees.
-
It might be the last time we get to see Aaron Rodgers here. I think he's still a good QB, but GB not giving him any players to throw to so he might just decide to walk away and do ayahuasca and podcasts. On paper this one shouldn't be close, but that's why they play the games!
-
He's a Percy Harvin type player in that he's quick and shifty buts he's no Percy Harvin! In his prime he was possibly the best athlete in the entire league. For anyone who is worried about this, KC already has Sky Moore and they don't even play him.

We'll find out Sunday if Kareem Hunt really does go to LA!

The Tottenham one looks like an actual roof structure too at the base. The Bills stadium looks like they are reusing some car port coverings from an apt complex
-
The Tottenham covered pretty much all of the seats which was a pipe dream for us but they did say 80% of the seats at one point and then they decided that was too expensive most likely which is a bummer. The other aspect of that was that the Tottenham stadium was designed to keep the crowd noise in to make it louder. I'm guessing a lot of that will be lost if the roof doesn't cover as much of the stadium. If you are seeing both renderings for the first time I would say that Tottenham one is nicer and that stadium is already 3 years old so by the time ours is built it will be 6-7 years old and better than our "new" one seemingly
-
I'm comparing this rendering to that rendering. Roof was said to cover 80% now it's 65%, you can tell that's where they cheaped out
-
It definitely does not and that's the problem. This rendering does not look as nice and the roof covers much less. I would have been excited if they just up and copied that stadium but this looks like they said we can't afford that give us something much cheaper

With all of the "wind confusion" the rain won't know what to do!

It was the biggest abuse in possibly the history of this country (not counting the ongoing abuse of welfare, medicare, rent assistance, other long term socialist programs) and not a lot of people are talking about it. I wasn't even talking about the obvious fraud committed by people overseas or by giving false info. Right off the bat that is probably 1/4 of it right there. You could Google the name of a company and get all the details you needed and put false phone number and address, it was really that easy. They were sending money first and asking questions later. Just a total trainwreck of a process from the start. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/ncna1279664 Surely you understand that I can't say how I know but I'd wager that 7 out of 10 cases I came across from actual companies were very very wealthy individuals that clearly did not have to sell their 3rd or 4th house to be able to keep payroll going. In fact they were buying more houses, cars, etc with the extra dough. It wasn't hard to inflate the numbers to maximize their payouts either. Popular belief was that the money had to be used on payroll only and that's not true, it was pretty much all operating expenses to keep the business running including rent, mortgage, utilities, operating costs, etc which were much easier to fudge the numbers on. The only people I know personally who needed the payroll money owned restaurants/bars and there were ways to cut hours temporarily and still accept the PPP because technically you weren't laying people off. They definitely didn't need the money and the salaries of those types of employees is already low because they work mostly for tips. Do you think they were making as much in tips with nobody going out during that time? Was their salary increased after getting the PPP money? Absolutely not. It didn't end up in the right hands. Basically it was a complete money grab and I personally know some wealthy folks who got even richer off of this. One guy we know made so much that he bought a 3 story condo with an elevator in FL, a speed boat, and a new Corvette. His income was never impacted because his business was deemed essential from the start but that didn't stop him from collecting millions in PPP! True story.

Although the outcomes of the past 2 seasons are similar to 88-89, the Bills were never considered the overwhelming favorite going into the 1990 season like we are this year. The 49ers seemed unstoppable and the Giants had a great defense. And then there was a bunch of AFC teams in the mix. When the Bills beat the Giants in the regular season it was like ok maybe this team is for real. Then they demolished the Raiders in the AFC championship and meanwhile the Giants knocked off SF but were down to their backup QB and suddenly the Bills are the favorite to win the whole thing. The Bills went into 2022 as the best team in football and haven't done anything to dispute that. It's either them or KC is what it feels like, and on paper the Bills are a better overall complete team. That game will probably be the actual Super Bowl. Josh Allen is top 2 QB in the league and very likely the MVP. Jim Kelly was good but never that good. Montana, Marino, Elway, Simms, Esiason, Moon, Aikman... lots of HOF QB's during that era. Bills also had a top 3 defensive player in Bruce and a top 3 RB in Thurman. Was Kelly a top 5 QB? Maybe, maybe not. Definitely never top 2 like Josh. This year's team is very well balanced in that they have a very good offense with 2 really good HOF type players, a defense with a 1 maybe 2 HOF type players, and then a bunch of very solid guys that do their job. The 90's teams were never balanced in that they had a quick scoring 2 min drill type offense, and then a tired defense that was usually on the field for much of the game so they were never a dominant group. So not a lot of similarities at all. The 90's Bills went to 4 straight super bowls and were never the overwhelming favorite to win at any point except for the week before the first one. This year's Bills team might be the best Bills team ever but that's why they play the games.

Why do some Bills fans refuse to have confidence in this team?

Anyone who is not nervous must be new here... Welcome! Please research the 4 Falls of Buffalo, the Music City Miracle, skate in the crease, and 13 seconds, among others. Surgeon general's warning: being a Bills fan is bad for your health.
