Never said that it wasn't. My point was to indicate where this is for those that know very little about NC and that the homes there are not exactly "robust". I went through hurricane's Fran and Floyd. Our house had no damage from Fran, but we had no power for 10 days. My family never checked on us based on their news reports at the time thinking we just had some wind and rain. Peace - out.

Bertie County is in north eastern NC and is pretty rural.

Pooj - The one way I know how to do this is to use "mapmyride.com". I use this to find some hills to train on while riding my bike. I take the starting and finishing elevation and the distance between the two points to calculate the slope (grade). If there is another way I would be interested too. My Garmin bike computer measures this automatically via GPS.

Just a shout out to the Sabres fans that came down to Columbus for the game Saturday night. I have had 2 guys come over already this morning and said that Buffalo fans know how to tailgate. Decorum outside and inside the arena was very sportsman-like. Good show everyone - hopefully we (Columbus) will have a more competitive team next year.

I agree with that big time. I was at a golf event recently and a guy that has won a couple of majors and plays on the tour part time was a total butthead and the guy that is playing his guts out on the tour couldn't have been nicer.

I had melanoma - Class 2. Did it give me the entitlement to request 50 yard line seats for a Super Bowl? Round of golf with Phil? No!! What it makes me "entitled" to do is get out there and support research efforts to find a reason and a cure. Kid isn't entitled to anything. Through MAW kid is able to make a request.
