First, let me say that I live in Columbus and the city is just turned upside down by this whole thing. Many thought that the initial report was all that there was to it. With the new reports coming out, it just makes Tressel, the athletic department, the school, and the very well liked president look like a bunch of chuckle heads. The athletic department is going for a big hit sanctions and financially. Wouldn't be surprised if the NCAA (which is a big pot of hypocrisy unto it self) puts the program and/or the athletic department on the brink of the death penalty.

Greg - Did you actually see what is a poor excuse for a movie? It wasn't drama and it wasn't dark. Except for the inside of the essentially empty theater. It was pure C R A P.

What I thought was interesting was the comment about how players are not prepared for post-football life. I guess I should have highlighted that section of the article. Thanks to B-E-D for correcting the kicker reference.

Speaking of restaurants expanding, DiBella's Subs has opened a shop here in Columbus. For the life of me I can't remember this from when I was at RIT. Is it worth the drive to check it out?

Well put. Is it me, or has anyone else felt like all the celebrations in DC and NYC seem over the top? To me it would seem greater on our (US) behalf to act "higher" than how other countries / factions would act in reverse.

Never said that it wasn't. My point was to indicate where this is for those that know very little about NC and that the homes there are not exactly "robust". I went through hurricane's Fran and Floyd. Our house had no damage from Fran, but we had no power for 10 days. My family never checked on us based on their news reports at the time thinking we just had some wind and rain. Peace - out.

Bertie County is in north eastern NC and is pretty rural.

Pooj - The one way I know how to do this is to use "mapmyride.com". I use this to find some hills to train on while riding my bike. I take the starting and finishing elevation and the distance between the two points to calculate the slope (grade). If there is another way I would be interested too. My Garmin bike computer measures this automatically via GPS.

Good site - used it a couple of times.

I'm certainly glad I wasn't on that commuter plane.
