  1. Pooj - I never ride without one. Raod or mountain bike. At Wal-Mart you will find the lower end of the models, fit and adjustment will be limited. You are protecting the grey matter inside of your mellon. Is your 5-10 dollars saved worth your life?
  2. My thoughts are to you and your family Scott. Godspeed to your mom.
  3. Southern Comfort and lemonade. Pernod or Ricard with some ice and a splash of water or club soda
  4. From one to another - cheers.
  5. Color? - Thinking kahki and white (basic) How many? - Well, last year Pelotonia had 4000 riders. I think I may be able to sell 1000, 2000 on the high end. Profit? - Couple of bucks each. Again, profit would go to support my fundraising requirement ($1,800). And no, didn't Google. Thought of you guys first.
  6. Good ones guys, good ones. I need some serious reponses however.
  7. Anyone on the board do anything with custom ballcaps? I am looking at making a custom ballcap for a charity fundraiser. I have the artwork. Direct responses or PMs - either way.
  8. Congrats to you and your newly extended family. As a former project manager - have a backup plan in mind.
  9. I too am a bike rider. I ride for exercise and recreation. I do not ride in heavy traffic areas and when volume is high. I would like to ride my bike to work a couple of times during the week, but there is very little to no shoulder and commuters are very intolerant on my route in to work. On my rides, I ride to the rules of the road and wear a helmet. I have even added a blinking light to my service bag. I ride defensively and offensively. Defensively, because I have rights to the road. Offensively, because I value my life. I triple check intersections and do not ride with iPod stuck in my ear (one of my favorite pet peeves). Last year in Pelotonia I had to remind about 100 people that we are "guests" on these roads. Double file max, stay as close to the right as possible, no crossing the yellow line, announce cars coming up behind. A lot of these riders were new beacuse they were part of a corporate sponsor and really had no clue. You would have thought that I had just landed from Mars. >> Let me ask a question - What side of the road do you walk on? << I will defend my right to my little portion of the road, but I will not jepordize my life. Give us our space and as Cat said earlier in about 30 seconds you will be clear of us.
  10. Peace to your mom and your family.
  11. He is (was?) very well liked within the Columbus and OSU environment. Personally, I think he was hoping that this issue was limited to the issue back in March. Yes, now it makes him look like a doofus and may put his job on the line, at the moment he is still very strong within the influence of OSU.
  12. First, let me say that I live in Columbus and the city is just turned upside down by this whole thing. Many thought that the initial report was all that there was to it. With the new reports coming out, it just makes Tressel, the athletic department, the school, and the very well liked president look like a bunch of chuckle heads. The athletic department is going for a big hit sanctions and financially. Wouldn't be surprised if the NCAA (which is a big pot of hypocrisy unto it self) puts the program and/or the athletic department on the brink of the death penalty.
  13. Greg - Did you actually see what is a poor excuse for a movie? It wasn't drama and it wasn't dark. Except for the inside of the essentially empty theater. It was pure C R A P.
  14. What I thought was interesting was the comment about how players are not prepared for post-football life. I guess I should have highlighted that section of the article. Thanks to B-E-D for correcting the kicker reference.
  15. Linky Brief article about his post football life.
  16. Oh, I can top that. "The Family Stone".
  17. Kind of surprised that no one has posted this yet. Linky
  18. YIKES!!
  19. Good luck with that one.
  20. Yep - that us. Columbus OH. I just laugh.
  21. Speaking of restaurants expanding, DiBella's Subs has opened a shop here in Columbus. For the life of me I can't remember this from when I was at RIT. Is it worth the drive to check it out?
  22. I liked this comment from that article - "They would of cut him open and found no heart to replace anyways. . ."
  23. No soda for over 4 years here.
  24. WHAT!! And not allow the teachers an extra day off?!? Oh the agony!!! <Don't get me started on this. My school district levy passed yesterday - jacked my taxes up an additional $600 per year. System pays 100% of medical plus pays for state tax on this bennie.>
