  1. I probably won't fly anything except Southwest domestically. No problems 2 weekends ago.
  2. Peter King's comment from his Monday Morning QB article, if anyone's interested - The case of Steve Sabol. The news is tough for the NFL Films czar. Five weeks after he got the soaring news that his dad, NFL Films founder Ed Sabol, was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, Sabol was told the reason for his seizure at a Kansas City banquet Feb. 5: He has a tumor in his brain, which doctors will try to shrink through chemotherapy and radiation. Steve Sabol is at home in New Jersey now; I'm told he was his old self, making jokes about himself and anything else he could think of over the weekend. He's girding for the fight of his life, obviously. I've asked people on Twitter and in the column to e-mail Sabol their thoughts at Sabol.NFLFilms@NFL.com, and today I'll ask those who want to drop him a card to do so at: Steve Sabol 1 NFL Films Plaza Mount Laurel, NJ 08054 He loves hearing from you. I know he does. And I know how much so many of you love what Sabol has done over the years. For so many, he's been a lifeline to a love of football. Well, that lifeline needs you now. Drop him a note if you can. Thanks.
  3. Take it on full force Steve. Kick it in the arse.
  4. The company that I work for would have been in line to supply equipment to cool the servers in the center. They will just wind up somewhere else.
  5. Some people have way too much time on their hands.
  6. Here's one in WNY - Linky. Not the one I remember reading about.
  7. I would like to find a CSA here in C'bus to get in on a share of a steer and a hog. Wifey goes to the grocery store for a good steak and is tastes like cardboard. I'll go to the butcher and it rocks. I pay a bit more through the butcher - I think I would be far far ahead if I went in on a share. I marinated a THICK cut pork chop not too long ago in Chiavetta's and it absolutely was to die for. One of the main ingredients in Chiavetta's is vinegar.
  8. Without reading the entire string, and my apologies if someone else commented the same thing, it is known as "due diligence". Plus, the Bills are not wanting to tip their hand to anyone at this juncture.
  9. Here in C'bus the talk is that the vest may not be made of gold or teflon. Presser at 7pm today. Linky
  10. There's one for the smart-aleck column. And 2 for the helpful column.
  11. I've been chasing a leaky toilet seal for a couple of months now. The leak will appear and go away on what seems like its own accord. Leak is not a large amount - just enough to be a pain in the arse. No pun intended. The bowl is tight to the floor - I've re-tightened the flange bolts numerous times. I'm concerned that I might break the bowl. Bowl sits on a ceramic tile floor - flange sits at the surface of the bottom of the tile. Someone at work suggested using 2 wax rings stacked on top of each other. Any other great thoughts, suggestions, tips? And, I'm sure that I will have a number of smart-alecky comments in this as well. If I don't, I will be surprised.
  12. Oh my
  13. Oh well, cheap entertainment.

  15. Thought by now there would be a dozen posted.
  16. Attached is Chris' speech at the opening ceremony of 2010 Pelotonia. I'll be riding 100 miles again this year.
  17. That was our department's rule as well.
  18. They way I was trained was when I had a green light I was to slow down (rolling stop) and check that traffic could see me. On a red light I had to stop completely and check traffic. We were also taught to change the tune of the siren often when going through an intersection. I see / hear too many emergency vehicles going through with the same tune and only using the air horn.
  19. First song I heard after putting my dog down - www.youtube.com/watch?v=wZFkXQKCuBc
  20. Had one. 1978 Bonneville. Wish I had it back.
  21. 4) Is the United States next on the list?
  22. They were sailing around the world. IIRC, their last port was Yemen and making their way towards S Africa.
  23. Others may correct me if I am wrong, but the CBA is still in place. Player moves such as these can take place as they have been cut.
