  1. McVay is an offensive minded coach who scored 3 points in a super bowl. That is vastly worse than 13 seconds even with Goff. Vastly worse. Pretty sure Chiefs are rated as the best team in the league and we went from: Chiefs win 26-17 Chiefs win 38-24 Bills win 38-20 Bills lose 42-36 Bills win 24-20 It is beyond stupid to suggest that the team has not made the improvements needed to get over the hump. 2022 was an anomaly season. But sure blame the coach if it makes you feel better.
  2. Kyle Shanahan lost the Super Bowl and has never won one. Doug Pederson won one 👍 Sean McVay: Year 1 Lost in Wild Card (11-5) Year 2 Lost his 1st Super Bowl with a pathetic 3 point peformance in his 2nd year of coaching the Rams. (13-3) Edit and this is absolutely positively worse than 13 seconds by faaaaaaar. Year 3 Did not go to playoffs (9-7) Year 4 Lost in Divisional (10-6) I am 99.99999% sure if he did this with the Bills you guys would have been making posts saying we need to make a change just as you are doing now. Imagine that Year 5 he won the Super Bowl. Edit 2 I also think he was incredibly lucky to get the Bengals this year. The Bills or Chiefs probably would've led to another embarrassment. But he got the ring so it doesn't matter. The idea that McDermott can't do this because he is in Year 6 and not Year 5, is so dumb. Edit: I also don't understand why McDermott and Beane don't get at least some acknowledgement that they strive to get over that hump. They came a long way from that 2020 team that got stomped by the best team in the league.
  3. Your problem is you don't see that your demand for a championship by dismantling the very organization that is currently competing for one can be detrimental to your stated goal.
  4. Who are you going to hire? You can easily wind up with a plethora of bad coaches who ended up dismantling the team. For what? McDermott isn't the playoff problem. Texans we had young Josh Allen playing hero ball. Chiefs we didn't have the roster Chiefs we had the roster but we botched 13 seconds Bengals the team was just out of it. You could just tell they were mentally fatigued. The question is absolutely 100% who are you going to hire?
  5. It's a pretty relavent question. A lot of people are presenting the argument that McDermott is preventing us from winning and that subtracting him makes us better. If we just stick any competent person in there then 13 secs doesn't happen. It's nonsense. You win by consistently making the playoffs and competing which we are doing. Pretty sure only 2 HC in the last 2 decades have won multiple super bowls. You don't throw consistent playoff football in the toilet unless you have a surefire plan. Talk about wasting the super bowl window with a rebuild.
  6. Oh no guys, all the Bills aren't showing up to the 3rd day of mandatory minicamp! this is super duper serious! How will they ever be prepared!?!
  7. A lot of "who knows" and speculating for statements as confident as the bolded. Why does that make sense? Everything we've seen with Allen is he wants to get better and he has that drive. Especially in games. The bengals game was a team failure, not a allen wasn't prepared failure.
  8. Not to mention if it were remotely true, I'd think Hailee Steinfeld would stay far far away from that drama given her celebrity status.
  9. Its such a dumb assumption as to why we lost that game. Everyone looks for reasons but ffs they were plainly obvious during that game. Their D line dominated our O line. Josh is not the O line. Their back up O line dominated our (minus Von) starting D line. Josh is not our D line. Our DB's giving 10 yards of buffers for easy 1st downs. Josh is not our defensive coach, or DBs.
  10. Come back in late August and tell me how much this "damaged the team, mentally, emotionally etc"
  11. It was definitely a win win. Not sure how you can view it any other way?
  12. The stupid window crap is so annoying. It is so billsy for fans to be worrying about a window closing in the middle of the first playoff football we've seen in two decades. This will all work itself out. The holier than thou attitude of fans is also annoying, talking about a tight super bowl window while at the same time saying we should cut our #1 WR in June at expense of huge amounts of dead cap because he didn't report to a 3 day minicamp in JUNE. Did I say June? Sheesh.
  13. Maybe Chris Jones is upset with the coaching staff and wants to move on and be traded.
  14. Mahomes threw 10 INTs in the first 8 games of 2021 and another 10 in a 10 game stretch in 2022. You can really pick stretches of good qbs making mistakes most years.
  15. Edit: I also don't know how the offense struggled in the 2nd half of 2021? We put up like 30 points a game after the Colts game.
  16. I dont get the argument that Dorsey sucks. Its so crazy. Then again I feel like people also said Daboll sucked before he left. It just seems like people always think there is some unknown person thats better out there while we languish with Beane/McDermott/Dorsey.
  17. Oh certainly there will be - I was going to add that caveat that every time Diggs drops a pass there will be a new thread on how they aren't on the same page because Diggs missed these practices. Decided not to though haha
  18. 45 pages for something that will inevitably be forgotten about long before the season even starts 😂
  19. Yeah I see what you mean. I really hope its just updating the penalty to be consistent and these other articles just mistakenly added this "Hand-offs will have to be behind the quarterback or equal to the quarterback.". I'd have thought a change like this would be bigger news so maybe you are right. NFL site simply says they are bringing the rule in line with illegal forward passes as you state: https://operations.nfl.com/updates/the-game/approved-2023-playing-rules/ 12. By Competition Committee; to make the penalty for illegally handing the ball forward consistent with other illegal acts, such as illegal forward passes.
  20. https://new.cbssports.com/nfl/news/nfl-rule-changes-2023-no-0-jersey-is-back-personal-foul-penalties-clarified-one-date-for-roster-cutdowns/ Thought this would be bigger news since Allen holds the ball til the last second a ton. Did a search and didn't see a thread. "To make handing the football forward a penalty like an illegal forward pass, proposed by the Competition Committee Rule change: This will penalize teams handing off the football forward on a read-option, for example, or any other running play a penalty. Handoffs will have to be made next to or behind the quarterback, not in front of. "
  21. They did the same for Mahomes with Brady, Lamar, Antonio Brown, Gronk, Beckham, Sherman. Etc etc etc. Don't let it get to you, we know what we have. That he hasn't won anything basically. But they think Burrow or Hurts should get it because they made and lost a super bowl
