  1. they probably do. we're just closer to the Bills. quick example: Look at the pats trading Collins to the browns for 'lack of consistent effort'.
  2. the guaranteed money in contracts nowadays + the risk of long-term serious injuries=less reason to compete. if i can get paid millions, hang around for a couple years, avoid the field as much as possible and walk away at 26, i'd do it 10/10 times.
  3. http://deadspin.com/pete-carroll-was-not-impressed-by-patriots-fans-1788994438 "It's not a great place" Lived in Boston, his whole assessment is spot on. They're the worst type of fan: entitled, aloof, and defensive.
  4. open competitions for multiple positions in week 10. so solid.
  5. Here's the hit in question: http://deadspin.com/rob-gronkowski-said-this-was-the-hardest-hes-ever-been-1788946197
  6. should we wipe out all of the top team's crappy wins too? OAK has wins against the titans, ravens, saints, chargers, jags, and bucs. with only a good win against the broncos with rookie Trevor Siemian at QB. weak wins! New England beat PITT without Rothlisberger and have wins against CLE, Cards, Phins, Texans and the Bills. Texans only weak wins vs bears, titans, colts, lions, jags.
  7. nah, just highlighting some casual racism. and the idea that some middle-aged slob from Buffalo steals my girlfriend is hilarious.
  8. a lot of the hate against him is a pretty thinly veiled agenda.
  9. he threw for 3,800 yards and 35 tds last year. wtf are you talking about?
  10. Brett Favre: unorthodox, big-armed, scrambler, serial over-celebrator, visibly ENJOYED playing the game= oh, man he's just fun to watch Cam Newton: the EXACT same qualities=i hope he gets destroyed and is out of the league in three years. what is that one definable difference between them? i can't. put. my. finger. on. it...
  11. Taylor's finally starting to look more comfortable in year two. It's not perfect and it's not always pretty, but even with a roster of depleted WRs, he was effective vs a stout D in a very inhospitable stadium. 3rd down conversions are the key to wins, so I'd like to see him gain even more consistency in that area.
  12. you know what seems viable? not using any taxpayer's money to subsidize a billionaire's stadium.
  13. his job is to posture. also what you saw from our DBs last night is exactly why the NFL would never adopt the college PI.
  14. watch the highlight again. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IX2J4jJVNK8 sherman starts to bail immediately for the deep route and the WR cuts out after 10 yards. if the wr would've been running deep the whole time it would've at least been a 50/50 ball. he wouldn't have, as you say, needed a !@#$ing motorcycle. just some solid hyperbole by someone who doesnt know what they're talking about.
  15. I agree. you have to put the game away right there.
  16. Yeah our secondary is lost. I'm not even sure why Seattle even runs the ball at all
  17. I just pulled up carpenter's stats, because i was curious how badly he's doing this year (it seems bad). Anyways, he has almost identical numbers to gostkowski. 11/14 vs 10/13 and both had two missed XPs. i was actually pretty surprised.
  18. the only way he gets over 200 yds is if shady's YAC is huge.
  19. Just one other Dec. 11, 2000: Bills 20 at Colts 44 (L)this one was crazy as well. Colts 14 points scored by defense. 9-6 at halftime?! Colts score 44 points, Manning throws 132 yds no TDs, we are sacked NINE TIMES!
  20. he fumbled in both games.
  21. I'm actually more excited for the game than i thought i would be. i think we can win.
  22. Good god. I forgot about that. Throw it on the pile.
  23. I had sort of forgotten our most recent MNF games, so I thought it would be a good refresh to go read the recaps. The recurring theme from these games was our inability to close, usually caused by pivotal late mistakes. Three of the games were decided by a combined FOUR TOTAL POINTS. You should go read the recaps, even if you think you remember them. They're full of anomalies and blown calls and inexplicable stats (Romo throwing 5 INTs and winning; Lindell missing a FG wide right in the final seconds; the inadvertent whistle last year; Leodis fumbling away two games). Oct. 8, 2007: Cowboys 25 at Bills 24 (L) Nov. 17, 2008: Browns 29 at Bills 27 (L) Sep. 14, 2009: Bills 24 at Patriots 25 (L) Nov. 23, 2015: Bills 13 at Patriots 20 (L) I think we're going to see another close game in Seattle tonight, and we're going to have to learn to put a game away late for once. Judging by our recent history, something bizarre is bound to happen.
  24. Here's a good article on jones from last year. The osu offense didn't fit his style, he was marked as extremely raw with some undeveloped traits, and was touted as a big arm qb. So we are basically at the same point as last year with him, only hopefully he's learning a pro offense from the sidelines. www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2016-nfl-draft-cardale-jones-benched-how-does-it-affect-his-nfl-future/
